I don't hear anything about antabuse. I live outside of the US so maybe it is not as popular as it once was. I recently had it prescribed by my MD and am happy with the fact that I have no craving for alcohol. I take between 1/4 and 1/2 tablet in the morning and have no side effects. I am into moderation management.

How do you drink when you take antabuse? My doc recently precribed it for help with my weekends. Doesn't it make you sick to drink on it?

I made the mistake of having a shot of Bailey's 36 hours after taking 1/2 tablet and had some scary symptoms--increased heart rate, weakness, thought I was going to faint. I drank a lot of water and got over the problems in a couple of hours.Comment
