    Sugar and the MWO Program

I understand one is encouraged to stay away from sugar on the program, as it may trigger the alcohol craving. My question is, if one eats sugar but does not swallow it, will it still be a trigger? I just chewed Girl Scout cookies but did not swallow them. I hope I have not set myself up to ruin Day 4 of March Madness. Maybe enough sugar did not get into my system.... Let's hope. Will up the supplements just in case. I would appreciate any comments/thought from others, including Dr. Garcia. Thanks!

    Sugar and the MWO Program

    Hi Yestohealth.

Those cookies may still be a trigger. Consider the diabetic, who is treated with glucose paste under the tongue. It need not be swallowed and is highly absorbed.

Please visit the wesontaprice.org foundation for a wonderful nutrition review. I've mentioned this before, it's Sally Fallon's website and is excellent. She shows us how health food can be easily adopted into ones lifestyle and be truly healing. Good work with the program.
