need doc who follows MYO, for perscrip.

I live in northern IL. I'm trying to help my husband, he's done the AA and rehab thing and refuses to do it again. I wanted to put him on the MYO program, but he definately needs a Doc. to perscribe meds and monator them. We can't find anyone willing to do this unless he does AA. and goes back into rehab., than they said he won't need the drugs. Been there, done that. Some one who is agreeable to the MYO program in Northern IL. would be perfect, but alternately, we will travel, if needed. If you would rather answer me privately, you can do so @ Idesign50@yahoo.com Thank you so much in advance.

There are online pharmacies you can get medications from without the prescription. Many of us have ordered from them and had great success. If that is not something you are comfortable with, however, I would recommend looking under addiction specialists in your area.

Wishing you and your husband the best.

I too have ordered my medications online. It is quick, cheaper and very discreet.
      Good luck to you both.

I had good luck with approaching a psychiatrist and going in equpiped with the studies that can be found on this website. He prescribed the topamax and got me up to the 300 mg dose. It is starting to work, but is only an aid. The pills alone won't do it, at least for me, unless I get my mind around getting completely AF. I, too, tried rehab and AA and said never again. Costs too much, and too much religious, dogmatic B.S. for my personal tastes. I WILL NOT engage in an AA debate, because it does help some people, and for them, that's great, but it's not for everybody. The advantage to a prescription is that if you have insurance, they will pay for it.

you can also approach your pcp... if he's not agreeable; it's time to find a new pcp. good luck.
