Day 10! Let me tell you

I never thought that I could go this long w/o a drink. I know Friday is going to be a struggle when we go to the casino but tomorrow I'm going by the cig shop and buying a pack of flavored cigs. I'm waiting for my topa to come in the mail....man it's taking forever.
Yesterday I finally started back at the gym, I was so tired when I got home I didn't even eat dinner, my poor family had to go it alone.
I want to thank everyone for being here for me.
This site has helped me so much!!!!:h

Day 10! Let me tell you

Great job Mya. When I went to the casino I had to stick to the slots. I was not ready to play cards sober. LOL

Day 10! Let me tell you

Mya: Have a great time at the Casino. Before going, program your mind that you are going to drink club soda, Coke, Pepsi.... anything but alcohol. Remind yourself that you are "living in the now" that having a cocktail and getting a buzz isn't necessary to have a fun time. You can have just as much fun drinking a non alcoholic beverage and smoking your ciggys. You are going to wake up the next morning feeling like a champ, remembering every detail of your casino night, and inspired to keep going AF. I'll be thinking of you. -Reenie

Day 10! Let me tell you

            Hi,

CONGRATS! Don't you feel great! Yes please do as Reenie says and plan before you go. This is an incredible opportunity for you. One of my tactics during this journey is to slow introduce activities that I would normal drink out, well be drunk at and doing them sober. I have done a dinner over at a friends house and a dinner out with friends at a resturant so far and I am thrilled with the good time I had and how good I felt about myself the next day. We all think alcohol makes us more fun or the experience more fun, but this just can't be the case.

Let us know how you made out at the casino!
