    Squash puffs

    Cook squash for 10 minutes on low simmer. Drain and mash.
    Add onion and egg, mix thoroughly.
    Mix in dry ingredients.
    Drop by tablespoon into hot oil, cook on one side until golden brown, turn and finish cooking. Drain on paper towel.
    I put a Tablespoon of bacon grease into the oil to give the puffs additional flavor.
