Do the chestnuts come already chopped? I've seen them in the produce section, but I don't think I have seen them packaged. Do you ever buy them fresh and roast them yourself? The soup sounds great.

hi,in the uk the chestnuts come cooked and vacuum packed, also in tin's, just make sure you don't get a sweet mix with sugar added, yuch!! you could roast and peel them yourself but it's a bit time consuming, the soup really is gorgeous, fat free, and full off goodness, enjoy,

that sounds really good, but I think it's a bit out of my league. Can you just send me some?

might get a bit cold, honestly just chop the veg and boil for 20 mins, in stock, just add load's of pepper, enjoyed the chatt last night, really struggling at the moment with the urge to drink but none in house.

I'm guessing an amontillado sherry would be good.
