    DIY Almond Milk

take 1 cup of the drained almonds and toss in the blender
with about 2 cups of water and blend very well on high
speed. then add water to taste. I end up with about 4
cups of water to 1 cup of almonds.

you can strain it through a very fine sieve if you want but I
    prefer mine 'au naturale'.

I added just a bit of agave nectar for sweetener to just
give a slight sweetness. you can also add vanilla if you
    like but be careful.

the flavor of the fresh almond milk is truly delightful and a
world apart from the store bought version.

Almonds are little power-houses of nutrients and protein,
    so get soaking!

this is so odd. I have posted a recipe that does not call for
    garlic. hmmmmmm

I need to start making my own. Thanks for posting Det! I hope I don't automatically add garlic when I try this, just because you posted the recipe.....

I love almond milk in a smoothie, with yogurt and fruit!!

Det...this is so delicious and very, very easy. You are right, this does taste way better and completely different from the almond milk that you buy in the store!
