Inserting a ticker into my sig line...
Perhaps because the ticker requires a refresh everytime you access it?
The body of a message may do that but the signature line probably doesn't.
I imagine it is coded that way.
Ask Code Monkey? Although he never responds to me anymore. :-(
I think he is gone.

That's interesting. Is it possible the signature line function works differently here on this forum than on other forums? I realize there are different software products driving it, but the functionality ends up being similar. Tickers are often used in signature lines at other types of forums, and the ones I'm thinking of are not all on the same platform?
Hmmm...
That would make sense though - why here at MWO it works the way it seeminly does....
Thanks Cindi!

Oh hell... the news isn't good.
Because the ticker picture is generated every time it is rendered (shown on screen), it relies on a piece of code. A ticker is basically a very small computer program.
The MWO vBulletin setup prohibits this. Look at the bottom of the Signature page on the User CP at the list of Signature Permissions. It says: Allow [IMG] Code NoI'll do whatever it takes

Doggygirly, I'm not a programmer but, having had a good look at your problem, I agree with tips. You could try e-mailing the webmaster asking them to allow IMG code. I can't actually see any reason for not allowing IMG code in the signature, but it's not my area of expertise. My apologies for not being able to offer a more positive response.
