There have been times in my life that I was in so much pain that I thought I would die. Physical death would have been a relief because I know what comes after this life on earth for me.
But God knows what is best for me........
The pain seemed to get worse AFTER I knew He put His hand on me. I didn't understand it for a while but now in retrospect I think I do at least a little more.
My job is to "Be still" .....I either do this on my own, or He will sit me down.....so I can hear and see and feel His "hand" and voice.
Just a thought.
