AF Daily - Sunday April 8

    Good glorious morning, FabAbbers,

I have made a river of mild coffee, suitable for drinking by the bucket on a lazy Sunday morning. There's also French toast with homemade raspberry jam. Hope this will give you a great start for the egg hunt.

I slept like a log last night, apologies for my late night ramblings, not very coherent.

Pap, that is one psychedelic pinkmobile. Love it. You are amazing with your hands.
Greenie of the river, that is beautiful indeed. Kaslo, great to have you back.

All the rest, i wish you Happy Easter !

      Hi everyone

      Happy Easter!

Have just been to church and about to set up a chocolate egg hunt in the garden outside - must go and hide the eggs.

Enjoyed the theatre and meal out last night with the family. Wasn't remotely tempted to drink.
Still feeling strong this am on day 45, however now Lent is over my husband who has been abstaining theses last few weeks says he is going to drink tonight. I have posted a separate thread about this in the "need help ASAP" section so feel free to take a look.

Have a great AF day everyone

Happy Sunday and Happy Easter, Abbers everywhere!

Thanks for the coffee and French Toast, Shue!! Great way to start the day!
Sugar, you sound really well. The mediatation must be a great help to you! Good luck doing the dinner today--think you said that yesterday.
Saucy, just stay focused today. Last night we went out for a bite to eat, and Mr TDN, who is a very light drinker, had two draft beers. I never was a beer drinker--unless there was nothing else to drink--but I felt really odd watching him drink them. No desire at all--just the opposite. I wasn't completely convinced that his driving was as perfect as usual, either--and was on the look out for barny Fife and his possee:H And he had serious haertburn from the food and beer when we got home. I was really grateful that I felt good and knew I'd feel good this a.m., too. So maybe it will be the same experience for you. Fingers crossed that it will be!
Greenie, love that photo, and thanks for sharing it and the info on where you live. Looks really nice there. We do have a bike/walking path in town--the town next to us--and it passes by a lovely lake. Need to start walking there now that spring has sprung!
Kas, the little ones sound so adorable! Nice that you are spending time with them! Can't wait for the photos!
Pap3--PINK!!! Love it! Love the bag you made for your niece, too! Hey--do you have more things on Etsy now? Need to investigate!
Need to get a move on here. A little cleaning to finish up what Mr TDn did while I was at the flower shop yesterday, then get ready for church. My sister, daughter and the woman who lives with them and my four legged Bichon nephew will be coming this afternoon. Mr TDN already in a state about a fourth dog coming--images of things being knocked about and craziness everywhere:H I'd love to do a doggy Easter Egg hunt, but already know DH would find and eat everything!!!
My niece is 12, but is more like 18, and has her own blog, so hoping she'll be able to help me along those lines. And she can snap some photos that I can post on FB for all of you there. I am seriously going to make a list today of who is who!
Okay--wishing everyone a wonderful AF Sunday!!

Happy Easter, Fabbies (or did I already say that yesterday?)

Up early today but ever so thankful for your coffee Shue!
Papmom... I was looking for the right words yesterday but Shue found them: Psychedelic Pinkmobile! That's it! Love it!
Greenie... gosh your river pics just look beautiful! So serene.
Sausage... you sound awesome. Happy you had a nice night out.
Hello to the Sugarland fairy and all to come :hallo:

Here's a bit of food porn for ya:

A cheese cake for the birthday girl with orange chocolate swirls. Turned out purdy good.

And here's the peanut, holding on to his treasures for dear life:

I'm still in wake up mode here but should go spring da boyz soon, also need to go feed neihgbour's critters and then my daughter will be visiting a friend later on, so it'll be Mom's Taxi Service. It looks kinda dreary out... I'm glad we did the egg hunt yesterday.

Wishing you all a fABulous Easter Sunday!

Expecting the YB, DIL & grandsons today so I guess I'd better get started on my day.
Wishing everyone a wonderful AF Sunday. Sausage, take your focus off of what your husband is drinking - it doesn't matter. Stick to your plan & your goals!

              Happy Easter PEEPS!

Ironically, Shue, I am just about to embark on making French toast for hubs in a few minutes. Thanks for the virtual variety! Homemade raspberry jam to boot! Yummy! I love the smell of french toast. My kitchen will be filled with it very soon. I'm making it with cinnamon raisin bread this time...and whipped cream on top. Hubs will be in ectasy!

Heading off to Easter dinner at 1:30...picking my mother up and then driving to Salem, Mass, which is only 20 minutes away. Asked hubs to take 127 South...the Coastal route...very pretty and much more interesting than 128 South. My mother will be sober when we pick her up but I know she will drink like a fish the whole time. I am heading into AL waters today folks, but don't worry, I have NO INTENTION of drinking. I really don't. I don't so much that I want to open my windows and shout it out to the world because I am not going to risk the good, no, WONDERFUL feeling right now for a glass of wine. I know it would be all down hill from there and this BlondeAF is only going uphill from now on!

Alright, it's 9AM. Gotta make breakie and get ready for a walk. Would I be crazy to work out at the gym this morning (they are open...contemplating a quick workout...hmmm). But that would make 7 days in a row and I prolly should skip it. I'll see how I feel after another cup of coffee!

Sunni-thanks for the food porn! That tart looks lucsious! Wow! Cute pics!

I gave the recipe for the haddock coconut curry in Saturday's post if anyone is interested...

Loving my rare Sunday morning off...I could get used to this!
              Happy Easter to Everyone!!!

Me too Blonde!! This extra day off, even if filled with afternoon family stuff is wonderful! Already got more done in 3 hours than I usually do in a whole day!!

I just want to say one thing that I hope will help you today in the AL sea:
Your photos on FB are fabulous!! You have a glow and light about you that is amazing! Your figure is downright jealousy provoking and you have worked hard to get that way. Please don't go ruin everything today because you somehow feel deprived or left out. You know that really isn't the case. Reread a chapter or two from Jason Vale before you go. Just think how crummy your mom is going to feel tomorrow morning even if she doesn't admit it. I know my sister and Dad will have wine head tomorrow as well and they won't admit. But I won't!! I'm bringing Polar's new Orange/vanilla seltzer and a small bottle of VivaCoco coconut water with Pineapple and it's all for me and I can drink as much as I want!! :H

This goes for you too Saucy. We are not missing ANYTHING but hangovers, bloat and slurred conversation.

OK troops-head into Easter dinner-eyes straight ahead, chest out, shoulders straight and hup 2, 3, 4. We WILL be victorious!!

Det-glad you had such a spectacular day!

Greenie-those photos are gorgeous! You are so lucky to live where you do!

TDN-Would love to take a walk around the lake with you and doggies. Lake W?

Kas-welcome back! glad you had such a nice visit and can't wait to see photos!

Uni-hugs and prayers for you today. Hope you too can be risen- from the hell of AL.

LVT-This is a very special day for you. Enjoy it to the utmost.

DG-super student. Hope you are well. It's almost over for this year!!

Sugar-hope to hear more from sugarland today!

Shue-yummo-french toast!! Hope you have a great day.

Sunni-great pics. sure seemed like a purdy day yesterday! the egg hunt looked very fun. Happy Bday to your daughter!!

Lav-hope the family decided to give you a break today and at least do the dishes after dinner! Glad it will be laid back after yesterday!!

Must get the green bean casserole going and hit the shower.

                :l :h to you all!!

Happy Easter or Passover or Whatever Fabbies!

Started off with coffee and paper by the firepit, followed by a jaunt at the river w/ my friend and our dogs. (now you have a visual ) And now she's invited me over for lunch with the family. I'm glad for this as I was feeling a little passedover. :H I am going kayaking later, but I was feeling sort of disconnected family-wise.

                    Later! WB IJM and bear.

                    And WOW on the cheesecake!!

Here are my grandkids with their mom, my daughter. She is a single mom. They are 2 and 3. Hope everyone has a great AF Easter Sunday.

One thing I have to say tho....Sausage, I hope you will be able to hang on to what is YOURS. You have worked so hard and been so happy. It doesnt matter if others drink, thats is their health issue, not your problem. Easy for me to say, not so easy for you to do

                      Love to all. Kas

AF Daily - Sunday April 8

                            Good evening from Engerland,

I am leaving nothing to chance today. I read one Jason Vale chapter on the airplane, bought fizzy water in Marks &Sparks at the airport, had endless cuppas and at dinner, before we sat down I filled my lovely cristal glass with fizzy water. This way no one dared ask me if I wanted wine. I was gushing all over my lovely nieces so my sis in law probably assumes I am pregnant, hoping for a girl. I am fine with this charade.

Tomorrow we meet up with my MIL and other sis in law and Family and we'll go to Center Parks with all the kids.

Sunny and Kas, you lucky ducks - love those pics.

Sugar and sausage, -I am feeling closer to you. Sausy, your hubby might take the grump but he will get over the hump.

TND - doggy egg hunt? I am enrolling my hound too, will give DH a run for his money.

Turn, thinking of you and getting more strength.

Blondie, Mo2, pap, greenie - cheerio, sweeties

Ya'll are a fast-moving bunch of beeyootiful ABbers!

BEAR! Glad you're back.....honest to goodness....I wish you had never left. My life sure got much easier once I accepted that my brain was beyond moderation. And my life just keeps getting better. Freedom from this addiction is priceless. I want everyone to have this.

Uni - you will be back soon. We are pulling for you. Hard.

Sausage - way to work through this big day. I like to think of it as building AF muscles. You are getting real buff!

Blondie....Grazie for the coconut curry recipe! I am going to try it on some BUTT tomorrow. And if husband likes it - I'll add it to the menu for Talapia Thursday.

Pmom - you have done a great job of pimping the pink papmobile! Just lovely. Are you done or are you going for more?

Shue be do - BRILLIANT strategy to keep the glass full of fizz! You are going to do fine this week. You no longer drink. Remind yourself of that - early and often and oftener. For me, in the earlier, more vulnerable days, whenever I reminded myself that I no longer drink, I did so in a positive way and did a mental run through of all the amazing things that being AF does for one (and for all!) It really does get easier. Will we see you in chat while you're on the road? You are such a bright spot for us here!

Greenie - that was so thoughtful for you to share your beautiful river with us. How deep is it where you swim? Are rocks a problem? Kayaking sounds like it would be fun there - or anywhere YOU are!

Sunni....Peanut needs a basket! Your tart is lovely. Yum. I am cyber tasting it. I am going completely sugar free starting tomorrow. Sugarbeat is the only sugary sweet I will allow in the realm.

TDN....as I sit here looking at pug fur all the heck over the place, I can only wonder how you deal with spring dog hair. It's everywhere here!

Well...thanks to those big flakes that fell from the sky yesterday, we broke the damn snow record here . No one wants to fix it either. Even Santa. He had to help the Easter Bunny make the rounds up here this year.

                              Sober for the Revolution!
