Woke up at 2 A>M. to get some water. Checked on the parakeets and 1 was dead. She was old and had been doing poorly as of late. I was more upset than I thought I would be. Had to tell my kids this morning and they were crying so long. I must take care of myself so I don't end up like poor parakeet. My kids couldn't take it. Its day 4 for me. I'm sure I can get through it.Why wouldn't I be able to?A hard question to answer. Bird

Bird so sorry, as a pet owner I know how these creatures become family. My husband actually gets misty eyed when he sees a squirrel dead on the road. It's hard; do your best to help the kids . Good job on 4 days

I'm very sorry to hear about your parakeet ,
Sometimes these lessons are tough, but your children are lucky to have a loving Mom to help them through this tough time.
I had a parakeet once and I understand how they can truely become part of the family.

The bird is in heaven sammys. Of course birdie feels ok. I swear, if I even make it to heaven and my pets are not there, I will check out.

So sorry about your birdie, losing pets is just the worst. Especially when people don't "get it". :h
