Betty Boop made me do this! So, on Betty's probing, I needed to resurrect this thread. Any movie that made you guys REALLY cry?

For me it was Killing Fields - particularly towards the end, when the reporter was reunited with his Khmer friend in the refugee camp. I also had to stop Passion of the Christ several times, as it got to much for me.

Of course, romantic movies (i.e. you've got mail, pride and prejudice, etc - gets my eyes wet) get me going - my fianc? always laughs at me being such a softy, but in a nice way.

What about you guys? OK, I know the girls will pretty soon shanghai this thread ;-) , but give the guys a chance to show their soft side - ;-)))

The film(s) that I cried lots at (in a ball clutching, deep and testosterone sort of way) are
Killing Fields...(right on Paddywhack)
Awakenings.......(made me gulp and sob...always results in hiccups I have found)
Truly, madly, deeply.......(don't ya just love Juliette Stevenson....she is one of the only actresses I have ever seen crying in a film that didn't look like she had had her makeup re touched after every sob......great bawling girl!!)

The Mother in Law (God I hated that movie.. perhaps the most depressing movie I have ever seen and was forced to watch)
Bambi vs Godzilla (actually that one was crying from laughter)

Saving Private Ryan had a profound effect on me because it was so well done and I got totally sucked in to it.
