What do you call a magicians dog?

    A Labracadabrador.

I've bought shares in a company called Miserable.

It started off as a little concern and since then it's groan and groan

I walked through the casino sideways last night.

"Are you drunk?" asked a member of staff.

I said, "No, I'm looking for the crabs table."

He laughed and said, "It's 'Crap'

"Thanks" I said, "But I think I'll be the judge of that."

Shocking news unfolding on our TV screens right now from Glasgow.

Hundreds of Scots leaving a pub before last orders.

Two Irishmen fall down a hole.
One says to the other, "Fcking hell, it's dark down here aint it?"
The other says, "I dunno, I can't see."

My boss came up to me and said, "Houston we have a problem."

I said, "Don't worry boss. Like Sherlock Holmes, I'm on the case."

30 mins later he came up and asked, "All quiet on the western front?"

I replied, "He shoots, he scores!"

    Boss beamed, "Roger and out."

Fck knows what we were talking about.

A man met a beautiful lady and he decided he wanted to marry her right away.

She said, "But we don't know anything about each other."

He said, "That's all right, we'll learn about each other as we go along." So she consented, and they were married, and went on a honeymoon to a very nice resort.

So one morning they were lying by the pool, when he got up off of his towel, climbed up to the 10 Meter board and did a two and a half tuck reverse piked with a double twist. This was followed by a three rotations in jackknife position, where he straightened out and cut the water like a knife.

After a few more demonstrations, he came back and lay down on the towel.

    She said, "That was incredible!"

He said, "I used to be an Olympic diving champion. You see, I told you we'd learn more about ourselves as we went along."

So she got up, jumped in the pool, and started doing laps. After about thirty laps she climbed back out and lay down on her towel hardly out of breath.

He said, "That was incredible! Were you an Olympic endurance swimmer?"

"No." she said, "I was a hooker in Venice and I worked both sides of the canal."

    morning all
looks like a nice one out here today, lower humidity, plenty of sun. Thinking we're going remain animal-less for while, the wife and I agree: hate putting them down even when you know you really got to. Course we all all the rest of the zoo out in the pasture. Job is going good. Have a "webinar" this morning, don't know the topic but I'll make sure to up my coffee intake!

Mick, off and running, eh? Thanks for the start up and the brew. How's the wabbits doing? New projects?? Like the Irish joke!

Bear, sounds like there's a log jam up there in the think-tank. Seems you're getting close to getting it unjammed. Drinking just keeps it gummed up by masking and delaying. As Lav would "say be kind to yourself" and let it be on your terms, not AL.

Pie, always a drag dumping money into a vehicle and it seems never ending to me. Enjoy the pup dog!

NS, enjoy your travels, anywhere exciting??

Lav, nothing worse than summertime snot!! Pick it up from all that babysitting?? Hope your on the mend.

PQ, the manic thing hits home.... I have a nephew who's been going off his meds and probably doing "recreational" drugs. In any event his outlet seems to be FB where he's been posting really weird stuff. (makes me really question being on FB) Some of it directed at me, past girlfriends, other family members. None of it real and I know it really isn't him, yet the thoughts are streaming out of him. I definitely feel for you!!

Det, I realized I never answered you question in regards to Zorro, Yep I've watched that movie! Funny, I used to enjoy the old Disney one as well.

off for my second cup. Waves to you Pauly, SF, the occasional G-Man and Byrdie and Mat. ET ALS

      MAE all,

Thanks for the magic dog joke, Mick. May I say your jokes are WAY better than your clues?

Sam, My car is a 2006 Honda with 78k miles, and I'm planning to keep it for a very long time. Probably Monday's expenses are just the start of an ongoing exercise in keeping it in great shape.

Yo Det, would love to hear more about Indonesian stew as well.

Hey PQ, did you get the bumpy weather last night? Like you, I keep a flashlight handy during those times.

Lav, you feeling any better today?

Hi Bear, Pauly, SF and anyone else dropping by.

Just minor errands and pup duty for me today.

Mae everybody, well shoot, I relapsed Monday night and most of yesterday I know that it doesn't seem like it but I am serious about staying sober,I dunno why its hard for me?not ONE part of it was relaxing, fun,I just kept drinking and getting more irritable, neverrereaching that"sweet spot" what a waste of my time!plus a waste of money, sanity,my trust in myself, its so hard to look in the mirror and see that ugly bloated face, unfocused eyes, sea hag hair,I'm a nice, caring, giving person I'm coming to realize, so why do I turn myself into a selfish drunk? I'm sorry to you guys, you've tried helping me time and time again, I'm sorry to my family, sorry to myself, back on the saddle
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

You can do it Pauly,do you know what triggered you?I'm really noticing what thinking leads me to drink now, also what situations(like now, long build up of stress)

Another stupid meeting with #1 irritating employee, she's actually given me even more evidence tho is how i keep seeing it,to keep myself sane. On sofa now,got stomach cramps(lady trouble) walked to get train earlier and treated self to bus back, now in PJs having a bath and eating pizza, chips and white bread - my breakfast and lunch were healthy in my defence. Quite frankly if it stops me drinking,I don't really care atm.

Last day tomorrow for the week, hallelujah!

thanks everyone for the input - it does help - and please,no need to keep it to yourself Mick - honesty is good Typing out the crazy thoughts does help me atm, feeling better since hypno in general,if not a bit wound up today after another meeting showing the zero responsibility and permanent victim state of my employee.it's her issue not mine, and i don't need her to like me - repeat to fade!

          Carbs are my friend tonight,

Sam my logs do keep getting stuck!

hey ppq, hope things are a little calmer today

Pie - hey you - i want to hear about indonesian stew too, noommmm

Det I have also had overnight oats with peanut butter, cinnamon, greek yogurt and berries and a cheese sandwich. Most days this week has been nutribullet for brekki, overnight oats for lunch with fruit and then beans on toast or somefink for tea. With added chocolate.

          Have a happy evening y'all
          one day at a time

Bear, you still never told us what overnight oats is,I dunno what the trigger was, except having a yuck day at work, being tired and grouchy that day, just unsure of how to handle it next time I feel sad, mad, anxious, irritable, I tried diversions and I certainly didn't want to drink on a Monday, its messed up my whole week, back to the drawing board,I kinda think trying to lose weight throws me off track too,cuz I didn't eat much that day,who knows, your dinner in PJ's sounds perfect
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

By the time I finish reading and catching up.....an hour has passed! Back is still out of whack.....the worst part is that it is messing with my sleep. Then I'm tired, unmotivated and crabby.

Sam...sorry about your cat, 22 years is amazing. So glad you like the new job. Webinars are the worst to keep your attention.

Lav.....I'm hating the weather this year. Hot or Humid......we've had a ton of rain.....which only adds to the humidity.....see "crabby". If that's my biggest problem....then I guess I'm in good shape. Hope that you are feeling better.

Mick...sneaking off to save the world.

Pauly, know that my thoughts are with you. I've been reading "rewired" and "refuge recovery". I've been reading the last one.....because they have a meditation group here and I want to check it next week. It's really got me understanding....how to neutralize things instead of reacting things.

Plus, I've been doing some serious chakra work....I've have the feeling that things are releasing.....instead of being kept inside.

On the iPad....so let's see if this even posts

                MAE ALL....

Popping on quick as I have to head out to the community garden. We are laying the flooring for the pergola tonight. Wasn't sure we'd be able to as the skies turned black and a tornado warning was issued for the city. We could see the funnel cloud just behind the centre. A tornado did touch down just sw of the city. Twenty minutes later, storm cloud gone, sun out and everything dried up instantly.

Will post again tonight if I'm not too tired otherwise will respond to today's posts in the morning.....:smile:PPQP

                  Hi, Abbers
I made it home after a nice few days in Michigan - sunny and 70s . Thanks for the well-wishes.

Pauly, you've got the power. It may not feel like it right now but as soon as you remove drinking as an option and are willing to do (almost) anything else when this type of feeling comes over you, you'll be done with this nightmare. And we all know that is what it is or we wouldn't be on this website. You can break the cycle.

                    Greeting Abbers,

                    It's almost 10 pm & I'm just checking in - geez!
I am starting to feel better now, thanks. I had to deal with a sinus headache & the boys at 8 am - wasn't easy. ha ha!

Pauly, I'm sorry, just keep trying, OK?
I thought I'd never break the cycle but I did once I realized I was so thoroughly sick & tired of disappointing myself.

SF, sorry your back is still hurting you.
I once had the greatest CD to help work on your chakras. Wouldn't mind listening to that again

NS, welcome home from your trip!

                    Stay focused bear

Hi there Pie, Sam, Mick, Det, & everyone. PQ - a tornado? OH NO!!

                    Stay safe tonight everyone!
I'm back on boy duty tomorrow but not until 10:30 am - yay!
