it was going to be the top 100...but the word police got to me and made me reduce the size!!!

A Scottish Soldier, in full dress uniform, marches
    into a pharmacy.
Very carefully he opens his sporran and pulls out
a neatly folded cotton bandana, unfolds it to reveal
a smaller silk square handkerchief, which he also
unfolds - to reveal a condom.
The condom has a number of patches on it.
The chemist holds it up and eyes it critically.
"How much to repair it?' The Scot asks the chemist.
    "Six pence" says the chemist.
"How much for a new one?"
    "Ten pence" says the chemist.
The Scot painstakingly folds the condom into the
silk square handkerchief and the cotton bandana,
replaces it carefully in his sporran, and marches
out of the door, shoulders back and kilt swinging.
A moment or two later the chemist hears a great
shout go up outside, followed by an even greater
    shout.
The Scottish soldier marches back into the
chemist’s and addresses the proprietor, this time
with a grin on his face.
"The regiment has taken a vote," he says.
    We'll have a new one."

Morning All, Great one-liners, Mick! What will you use the playhouse for? Part of the rabbit housing compound, maybe?

Hi Pauly, got some negativity swirling in my head today too. Keep dwelling on the rudeness my brother treated me with yesterday, but trying to shake it off. For sure, I did/said stupid things while drinking, but truly don't think I've earned the level of hatred he seems to feel towards me.

Lav, do you think your brother hates you? Over drinking?

Well, gonna get some things accomplished today, despite the low energy. I'm glad y'all are here this morning for me to touch base with. Always a bright spot!

pie,the playhouse will be there new house, that means the hutches can go...it also means that I dont have to worry about sheeting down the front when it rains etc...

Pauly ..good for you for coming on her talking about the negative thoughts..do you wanna go into them in detail here or pm..>if not it doesnt matter....just take your time with them ..sort them out one at a time...even write them down and throw the paper away after if its private..write the negs down ..one by one ..separate them before you do ..try and find the positive to each..there will be one...get a coffe or drink ov pop /water while you are doing it..that way you start to chill out...hope it helps ..but well done you ..

              Good afternoon Abbers,

Despite my best efforts to shield myself from the family shitstorm I think I've been hit, ha ha!
My daughter's FIL is 79 & in very poor condition in the hospital. I am trying to talk her thru all this but it's not easy dealing with that big, over-emotional, dramatically inclined Italian family, if you know what I mean. Don't mean to offend anyone but I have dealt with families like this for > 30 years. Ugh, not easy. Now my granddaughter is about to be tossed out of another preK program because - she's too dramatic
YB is finalizing his retirement plans for Mid-June & is driving me up the wall with his chronic negativity. And, just because nothing else was going on in my life I've been assigned to be the driver for the boys tomorrow, to & from school then back here for dinner.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!!

Pauly, you are not alone. I hate cleaning too & actually resent it most of the time. Trying to get the other adults you live with to help or at least clean up after themselves is a joke.
Screw it, just go out for a walk or something

Pie, I have two brothers left, one passed away almost 3 years ago.
The older one is a miserable, chronic drunk & doesn't take kindly to anything I have to say.
The younger brother thinks he is right, everyone else is wrong. If your opinion happens yo differ from his then you are wrong. Screw both of them! I can't do anything to change their closed up, rigid minds.

Other than that - it's been a great day so far!

              PEACE

You're my role model, Lav . I'm doing much better with not trying to "fix" or run interference in others' relationships. Byrdie gave me a great image one time of a triangle connecting 3 people. We can have some effect on our relationships with each of the others but not much on the one they share. But sometimes we can't even affect those direct relationships and either have to fight or let it go. Turns out that for me, most things are not worth the fight.

Pie, I was wondering if you'd ever just come out and asked your brother what the problem is? Maybe there's a misunderstanding there that could be straightened out enough to make your interactions at least more tolerable.

Pauly, good to see you "talking". Keep going if you're still feeling weird! xx, NS

PS: Mick, there were some great ones in the list! Thanks.

Lav, just be prepared for his retirement. Does he have any hobbies that will keep him Really, reallybusy? My husband drove me absolutely bonkers and he tried to take over my kitchen, along with everything else. I threw my hands up one day when he was arranging flowers! That's why they call retirement grey divorce. It's the first time you're alone with your spouse in how long?

This is in no way to scare you, but you need a plan. You and Him! lol. I became a volunteer and joined a garden club to take ME out of the house!!

I'm sure it will be just fine, and good luck.

Afternoon all, well, technically i suppose it is evening but still light out here. kinda a strange day, went to work but there was a board meeting, which everyone goes to but me (part time hep), but the board voted on me being full time so part wasn't strange. Got home and decided to clean out a barn so I took 2 loads of metal and batteries to the recycle, second load I got soaked in the rain, made over $100! So I guess that wasn't so strange. ok so maybe it wasn't a strange day, just wasn't I planned.

Mick, I'd heard the condom one differently, they decided to repair it! Kool shed!

Pi, know all about that hate stuff from one my brothers. Don't dwell on it, that's his dang problem. Who you were drinking is not who you are.

Lav, make sure whatever hobby you get for YB involves travel!

                        Off to dinner
hello to you NS, SK, Pauly, Eloise, Det, and where the heck are PQ?
