    Good morning cafe!

Ginger, sorry that you are still coughing and not feeling well. It may take some time, but with lots of rest, in time you will eventually feel back to your old self. if I won the lottery, I would do the same as you by helping all animals in need.

Lots of rain and wind lately with temps in the 50's. Where is Spring???

Peachie, glad that your footy team won, you must be quite a fan!

Cowboy, the back porch is still standing as it's been raining so much that we keep putting it off. Everything is cleared out of it, we're just waiting for the crappy weather to go away. Yuck!

Waves to Rava, Dill and Mul!

    Not today!

Evening Cafe. Jude, I have been following our West Australian team for 30 years and we have never won a Grand Final. Our poor fans have stuck with them all this time. So to have them finally being on top of the ladder is a miracle. Lol. So yes I am very excited. We get 53,000 fans at our home games. Our Grand Finals happen in September so a bit of a wait yet. Gulp.

Got down to 2.6 degrees last night. Brrr. The cats love it when I put the gas heater on but it is becoming very expensive to run. However it is something I refuse to compromise on. We all deserve to be warm on cold nights.

Dill I agree with you, the Brits are very off with some of their supposed humour. Old chook over here is usually said in a warm manner. Don't worry I'm very much a feminist in my heart.

Are you back out in the fields yet AB?

      Ginger, keep getting well.

Hi to everyone.i think I'll wait to see what supper is before I make some. Lol

      Have a great day peeps.

Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.

Ginger, the first link below is to the excellent series Rava shared with us a while back. It's a thorough explanation and probably the best way to start. The second link is to the version I mentioned yesterday that showed how to play, but it is not the American Mahjong version. Still, I found it helpful as well.

Peachie, that is really exciting about your footy team! I will start rooting with you. You will have to give us the name again sometime.

Jude, Cowboy, Rava, Mul, I'm short on time, but waves to all! Lets all have another day of FREEDOM and healthy choices...

            Dill

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

Our spring hasn't been the best either Jude, hopefully the weather will turn and you'll get the time needed to get the old porch removed.

Hopefully your football team goes all the way this year Peachie!

We're seeding wheat right now Ginger, and if the rain stays away today we should finish the wheat.

Wow, 2" of rain is a lot dill, please don't send any our way, we have enough of our own lol. The round and round does get frustrating, not to mention the extra time it takes to do that rather than straight back and forth.

Sounds like you have a nice mahjong club going there Rava, how often do you all get together and play?

As I mentioned earlier, if the weather holds we should finish up seeding the wheat today then there's only canola and green feed oats left. I think we're just a little over halfway done now.

Hope y'all have a relaxing Sunday....

Good morning Cafe. Dill, I am glad you are almost game ready. The reality is you just play with others that are forgiving and fun. Some ladies give mahjong a bad name by their rigid rules and unforgiving attitudes. I started a group here at the campground and we play once a week. With the weather being crap, a few of us met and played on our own which helps pass the day with conversation and fun. Ginger, hope that cough is getting better each day. Cowboy, thanks for the great breakfast. I love the fries in the breakfast! Jude, hope that porch hold up in all the rain. It’s been rainy here for 2 full days and supposed to rain for a few more. Yuck! Peachie, I just don’t get the British humor. I find it cold and humorless. But thats just me. Hope everyone has a great day. No plans on drinking today.

Thanks for breakfast, ABC. Don't get dizzy going in circles!

Dill, thanks for the links. I'll check them out.

Rava, we did something similar where we are in AZ. There's a group of ladies that play every afternoon. They are staunch and very rulely about visiting. A few of us branched off and play away from them. We laugh, snack and just have an overall good time. Both groups are much happier with that arrangement.

Peachie, you are quite a fan. I know Mr. G would love it if I'd watch with him but I just never got into sports unless my kids/gkids were playing.

Jude, I'm hoping you can start up the work on the porch again soon. I know how much you love sitting on the porch and having coffee in the morning.

I'm the same here on the health front. Trying to be patient but it's hard! My oldest grandson (28yo) leaves the 27th with his girlfriend for a six week walk about Europe. She's from Germany and she wants him to meet her dad and show him around her neck of the woods. Great adventure! There's a going away BBQ for them today at his parent's and I want to go but if this is contagious I sure don't want to expose them. Damn!

                  I'll take another.
