Good evening all!

The prediction for tomorrow’s snowfall is now up to 9”, swell. I really don’t care so much about that as I do the arctic air coming in & freezing it all, ugh. I guess sit’s a snow day for everyone tomorrow.

Sam, wow, congrats on your soon to arrive grandson, that’s awesome. I sure hope your DIL gets her sh*t together sooner & not deliver a baby with an elevated BA level. I’ve seen those poor babies, it’s a crying shame. Some good counseling right now wold be ideal for her.
If you get as much snow as we’re supposed to get you really should schedule yourself a nice mini break & stay home with a good book. Wishing the best for you & your family.

Morning all,
looks like a bit more weather heading our way. I had to cancel my steer's appointment with the butcher, so another temporary pardon from the weather governor. Suppose to get bitter cold next week. It is hard to work outside in this stuff. Got a few days in last week. My old legs get tired trouncing through the snowy woods. Still, I like winter time...

I'm due a grandson in early March. In a strange way I have reservations bringing a newborn into our present day situations, politically and environmentally, and my son's wife is a heavy drinker before getting pregnant. She has been sober since finding herself pregnant, until the other week. I hope it was a one off, but we all know how this works. Fingers crossed for her, baby, and not to mention, my son.

The hibernation plan seems like a good option, might have snuggle up with a book! hope everyone is warm and safe.

Hey PQ & everyone,

We just ran to the store for a few things too PQ. Hibernation weekend it is for us too.
Baked up some cinnamon raisin breads this afternoon so I can hand one over to our neighbors who is nice enough to plow our driveway when needed. We used to do that sort of thing for neighbors when we were 39 or 40 - just babies haha!!!
Hope the weather isn’t too bad for you PQ & hoping the same for us.

Glad I took the afternoon off, got some groceries and running around done before the snow started and the temp plummeted. It's going to be a hibernation weekend!

Hi Lav....talking to yourself again eh? LOL

We woke up to10C/50F and a sunny day. By noon the clouds started rolling in and the wind switched from west to north, temp dropped to 2C quite quickly and it tried to start snowing. Our winds are going to pick up, lots of warnings in effect tonight. Snow and -17C/1F on Sat/Sun. Good thing I don't have to go anywhere.

Lav...looks like the storm blowing in is going to keep heading your way. Ours will be short lived with temps above freezing again by Monday. Hope it doesn't linger too long at your place.

Booked tomorrow afternoon off, early start to my weekend hibernation. LOL Have a good night all...PPQP

Snowy day here, not what I ordered, oh well. Now we’re hearing about a bigger storm coming on Sunday.
Nothing exciting going on with me which is just as well. I have to fight a cat into the travel crate tomorrow, she needs a booster shot, fun times.

it’s almost went above freezing today but didn’t quite make it at 31 degrees LOL
Night time temps next week will be in single digits, definitely not looking forward to that. I will continue to hang out indoors & dream of my summer flower gardens.

Still cold & windy here, forecast calls for snow on Sunday, swell.
So last night as I was brushing & flossing before bedtime I managed to break a tooth, OMG. The dentist looked at it today & said he can’t fix it soI’ll be going back Feb 18 for him to extract the remai part then after it heals possibly an implant. I can’t catch a break with these stupid teeth. Mick, we seem to have ethis in common, Lol

PQ, glad things are settling at work for you. I am a dreamer & always start thinking about the flower gardens in the dead of winter, can’t help myself. I hope the boss gets your message about the new childcare director’s responsibilities. I did have a nice time with my friends at lunch, thanks.

Mick, glad your dental trip was shorter than mine, haha! Sleep will be returning, the full moon is over!

Sam, great to see you! I guess you’ve had a good bit of snow too. My chickens are closing in on 9 yrs old now (most of them) so egg production has been a hit or miss. I’m just waiting for them to finish their natural lives then give up on this 20 yr project, I’ve had enough. My spouse had surgery on his carpal tunnels several years ago & did really well. I haven’t heard any complaints from him since. Wishing you good luck with that!

MAE ALL...very quiet day today. I'd rather be busy and on deadline, the day goes much faster.

Mick...long drive to the dentist eh? And for all of 6 minutes. Cheeze. The assistant director is now the director and the only other full time staff will move into the assistant director role. That ought to be interesting, she has no computer skills and her first task will be learning excel. She got married last year and all she really wants is to get pregnant. LOL Health wise I'm doing good. Still not smoking, day 35 now.

Sam...good to see you posting, you're sounding good. Nope, 51st state is not going to happen. We had a week of frigid weather but all in all it's been a mild winter. Sorry to hear about the carpal tunnel issues, hope you can get it sorted.

been awhile since I checked in. Mick, sorry to read of the passing of your father in law. It can be quite the chore taking care of the belongings. Lots of memories can be found.

Lav, how you doing? Chickens doing good? Mine are not happy with the snow. Still... we're getting eggs on a daily basis. I was suppose to take a steer to the butcher tomorrow but getting a trailer out of here ain't happening.

PQ, how's life in Canada. Ready to become the 51st state??? We have such wonderful health care system??!!*! Sheesh, ridiculous. Much snow & cold?

I've been playing lots of music but my hands are rebelling. Doing a carpal tunnel thing in about 2 weeks. Hope that turns ok, I wouldn't know what to do if I can't play...
Anyway, just wanted to poke in and say hello.

hiya all...how are we doing today then? hope all is good.took me just over an hour to get to the dentists this morning ....and I was in the chair for 6 mins!today is a non starter day for doing anything at Julies dad ..we need to do it bit by bit .I never slept again last night grr.Very foggy over here today .

Mick...thanks for kicking off the new thread, it's good to see you posting here. Your trip to Los Gigantes will be here before you know it. I hope you'll both be able to get some much needed rest and rejuvenate in order to deal with things when you get back. Work has settled down, just waiting for the new childcare director to finalize the details for summer camp and upcoming Kinder registration that's supposed to open beginning of March. I have a meeting with the boss on Thursday and will tell him that it's her responsibility to manage time deadlines, that I'm not going to worry about it.

Lav...nice pic. It's way too early to dream about flower gardens but you have reminded me to get the community garden registration online. Geeze, time just marches on! Enjoy your lunch out tomorrow.

Major melting going on here too Ted with a high of 42 degrees, nice. Now we will drop down to below freezing temps again for the next week +. I’m starting to daydream about flower gardens already. Sleep will return after tonight’s full wolf moon (I hope). Tried to get a pic with my phone -

That's great that you & Julie are getting away next month. You'll certainly need a break by then. I found it hard to disperse my parent’s belongings but it had to be done. I’m keeping an eye on the LA fires, it’s all bad news sadly.

hiya all .how are we doing? hope all is good.Cold over here.We started down at Julies dads house today ,just scratching the surface at the mo,but took a lot of stuff to the tip..Medical officer phoned about Julies dad..he is the guy that examines the medical records etc.He died of dementia compounded by diabetes and frailty.Julie went to the funeral directors just to let them know and make an appointment to choose everything and sort the funeral out .
Things are still pretty raw but life goes on .didnt sleep great last night .went to bed early but only slept for just over 5 hours .Julie is holding up well.Snow has melted mostly here now .We are looking at going away about the 18th Feb to Los Gigantes in Tenerife for a week in the sun ...chill out and then come back to get her dads house sorted out .

hiya Lav how are you doing? hope all is good ...me and you both at the dentist tomorrow ..best of luck ..Enjoy your meal tomorrow..I agree with you the fires in LA are brutal.The fire bobbies have done a superb job bearing in mind the weather.Thanks for your support ...its needed at times.
