How Do You Protect Your QUIT?

I agree with everyone here. Sobriety is a gift I never ever want to give up. I will NEVER regret NOT drinking. I will however drop down a slippery slope if I take that drink.

If you are here, you have a problem with alcohol. Don't be a casual quitter. Fight this with everything you have and you will honestly never regret sobriety.

Hope you are doing well today.

How Do You Protect Your QUIT?

And.. Even if we never had a blackout or a hang over, we have to remember the other damaging health affects of alcohol consumption. When I start to feel wiggly I re-read this http://www.webmd.com/mental-health/addiction/features/12-health-risks-of-chronic-heavy-drinking?page=1. It reminds me on a cellular level why it's poison to my body.

Re: How Do You Protect Your QUIT?

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Today I am thankful for being me, alcohol-free. I haven't been on this website for a while, and since I posted last, my family has expanded to include another son in law, a daughter in law, and two more grandbabies.
My youngest son is 22 and he is a remarkable young man, I must admit, despite his parents. He is my role model- of all things- to understand that drinking doesn't have to be the "norm".

I protect my quit for him. Life is too short to live it in a bottle.
    Hugs to all. Patty.
