I can't accept or forgive much of what Trump does but I feel some empathy for a horribly twisted human desperately and unsuccessfully trying to feel ok. It must be awful to be him.

I'm sorry you have to have such frequent contact with a person like that. It would be really draining.
I am in awe of your generosity of spirit re. Trump --- I would love to be able to feel that forgiveness for people.. just don't seem to have it in me these days..

I lived in London for 6 months '89-'90 and still can't give blood because of Mad Cow outbreak during that time. Do you all over there in the UK still have that hanging over your heads as well? Don't know why I think that's relevant here, but there you go.

      Happy Friday.
You'd have to ask Jacks about the Mad Cow thingy - I think they got the all clear in Britain on that some time ago - not sure bout giving blood tho -- it's ok here in Ireland I know cos Joe gives blood all the time..

It is good to be able to open up here.. I just think I do an awful lot of it!
Bet you're dying to have your house all to yourself Jackie.. it'll be worth it in the end

Rant away Molly! It'll do you know good to keep it all inside. Just be grateful that you are who you are and not her! She sounds like a very unhappy person!

@rustop59live live in upstate New York, about an hour and a half from the Canadian border, and 6 hours North of NYC. I live in a country setting, which is where I'm most happy!

Forgiveness is for the forgiver. I can't live with the rage I feel as I see the consequences of him being president. It is no wonder that people are consuming loads of alcohol to escape. I don't want to be one of them.

Recognizing his humanity frees me to calm down and take the few actions I can to work against everything he stands for. In my weaker moments, I hope he is aware of the horror his life is and that he feels the pain of it. But his pathology probably protects him. He doesn't experience the world the way we do.

I suppose we're supposed to avoid politics here but it is a huge part of our lives in the US right now. That is the subject I could rant about until you all begged me to shut up!

@Pavati..........OMG had forgotten all about Mad Cow. They're called politicians over here these days.
Seriously though what an absolute carry on. Out of the five million cattle plus slaughtered at the time 38 thousand were found to carry it and since 1995 there are 178 humans have been found to have it and it can only be confirmed by an autopsy. You're more likely to be run over by a bus driven by Prince Philip.
Although at the time all the supermarkets went into meltdown and sold off all their beef products for pennies.............we all had freezers full of beef.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

      Re: November 2019: International Army

I thought that ban was lifted ages ago - I looked it up, and it was only lifted last month for Ireland. So Im good to give blood again..

Rant away all. We passed trump tower last week in NY and my husband decided he needed to do a 'Trump dump'. At least his facilities were useful, if extremely garish.

Jet lag was not great @JackieClaire.. quite like a hangover. Tired, dehydrated, cranky and an urge to eat crap.
      Why did we drink again??
