    Re: November 2019: International Army

    Hello everyone - Happy November!

Thank you for the very warm welcome everyone.

I agree we are the lucky ones. Sad story about Joe's friend Molly. I can see myself falling down that same hole if I ever decide to have just one drink again. So, I'm very happy to have this home base to check in to remind me that one is too many.

Got my the flu jab...........don't touch my left arm......its a tad sore.
Had a lovely surprise this morning........the S&H turned up with his dad's electric drill. Bit of a surprise as I thought it was in the garage.............the drill not the son.
Sending the curtains back and getting blinds. We've got some lovely prints and photos to go on the walls and the curtains would make it fussy.

Lovely to see everyone embracing the global theme.

About time too. I've been hearing about the possibility of a global thread for years. Oprah, Ellen, Gayle King, Pat Kenny have all hinted at this, tantalizing the masses but no one's been able to confirm the rumour.......until now!

I love listening to Ivor's accent and wonder if that is how your husband sounds, Satz. He is pretty amazing - he's an engineer who was put all of his 'root causes' expertise into figuring out and fixing his health issues. Now he is hooked up with an Irish group with the mission of eliminating heart disease. Anyway, his posts and podcasts are really interesting and informative.
    Thanks NS !!
I can't believe I've never heard of this guy - but he talks a lot of sense and I'll enjoy the podcasts.
Yeah @NoSugar I suppose he does sound like MrS and most East Coast Irish men !!! Dublin - if I was to hazard a guess.

Jeez, I see I missed my inaugural thread opening duties but more than happy to do so in future, from the future.

You are right Molly. It's all climates in one place here. You can have full tropical to cool - take your pick. Even the difference between Mr G's place and mine is considerable.

I have not bloody stopped for days. Busy and important.

SO HAPPY with the idea of a global sober community thread.

    Re: November 2019: International Army

Oh, and long as we've gone global - for transparency I feel that the world should know that I've got a massive crush on someone at work and I had a dirty little dream about him last night.

Would be unprofessional to do anything about it but that's OK.

    Morning from up over land.
Who says romance is dead when on Rugby World cup final day........ Mr JC arrives downstairs in his underpants, black socks and a large England flag round his shoulders.........I've just stopped laughing and he's got changed.
Of course the last world cup we won I spent it in an alcoholic haze and tbh don't remember a lot.
@byebyebridgetjones...............you must buy a notebook and draw hearts with his initials scrawled all over.

Good morning everyone. Had forgotten the rugby is on, here crocheting in bed. Enjoy JC, as Molly said yesterday we are the lucky ones. Are you trying to make Mr G jealous Bridget, lol.

Book club today. Lovely bunch of ladies, nice coffee and a chat. Great seeing all the new people on our thread.
