Morning and waves to all the world.
Quiet here again.
Not a lot on today...........just getting my fringe cut. The excitement in my life takes me by surprise at times.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Good morning JC, same here, nothing too much happening but at least not recovering from a hangover. Horrible horrible morning though, could not get out for a walk. SIL and BIL coming to stay as she has a hospital appointment tomorrow. Better get the spare room ready, also puppy sitting so getting anything done is challenging.

Are you a thread killer Nora!!
Its the calm before the storm, we will all be back here ranting and raving when the stress of Christmas and presents and 3rd cousins twice removes coming to stay.. is upon us.
So Industrial action has ceased in work, from 5 this evening. Talks will begin again, so all is well.
@JackieClaire, Ive just spent the last 12 months growing out my fringe, but I have fringe envy now. Completely torn on this very difficult and perilous decision.

Re: November 2019: International Army
Morning all!
Another mental 3 days at the coal face. Quite exciting though. The work sitch has developed a bit more and I have been given the opportunity to completely step away from a management role alltogether. Although origninally they said I would be retaining the escalated complaints with the financial ombudsman service and the management of external repossession agents, they then asked if I wanted to just keep the complaints side. It was weird because it is like slowly saying goodbye to a career but ultimately I think for me its the right thing. I am now just going to keep the complaints and hand over all the management to the guy who is taking over the team. I will also support him as he doesnt know the role. This suits me massively as a) I really like the guy who will take over and b) I will be able to have more time to do a better job with the complaints part of my old role. It also gives me the opportunity to reduce hours further in the future if I want to or work from home. The downsides are that I will never get another rise because although they are not reducing my salary, I am at the top of the payscale for the management role and I will not be managing any more. This year having cut down hours has helped with my sobriety so I KNOW that constant work stress does affect me badly and has not helped me stay away from the pills and booze. 2020 looks to be a much better year for me and I feel excited for the first time in a very very long time.

Re: November 2019: International Army
Starty, that's awesome. I hope we all get some good feels about 2020. I think a nice year might be in order. Will this get you away from the idiots and closer to the kind of people you want to be working with?
Glad to report that the relative's property fire is out. It came dangerously close to the house but missed. Took out a large portion of the land, which is thousands of hectares, and loads of fences which will hopefully be covered by insurance. I'm sure they will find a heartbreaking amount of dead wildlife but everyone else is safe.
We've also been hearing news of a shake up at work. One of the key players in what can be referred to as thinly masked corrupt activity is on the skids. Hopefully he has been saving some of his 300K plus pa for a rainy day, because it's here.
