Yer daftie That's my job anyway.

Sorry, another quickie as I'm meeting my pal in town that's fallen off the wagon again and I've forgotten my pin number again. Worst thing is I have them under a sort of code on my phone and I've forgotten that as well.

Promise a longer post later. Lots going on in all our lives.

    Hi-de-hi,
@starty...........wonderful news. Embrace the change and no pay rises........Aldi & Lidl save the day. Saw us nicely through our IVA years.
@byebyebridgetjones...........happy that the house has been saved but its going to be a long slog back to some kind of normal. Honestly I'm so hacked off at the whinging transport people..............its November, its cold, its wet, its Autumn, public transport..............leaves come off trees they tend to do that especially this time of year........so why do we hear every year............'sorry for the delay there are leaves on the track'.

Our town's Christmas market has started............lets put it this way. Its not Prague..........I could do better with a bit of tinsel, four cans of lager and a packet of instant noodles in the back garden.
I did go to the Bruge Christmas market one year and tbh it was all a bit of a blur. 9 am with some frites and mayonnaise with a large brandy to start the day was just the start of a 24-hour binge.

Good evening all - and special good evening to lovely Nora... as IF you could kill a thread!!!! Like the others say it ebbs and flows - mainly down to people like me who disappear for days without excuse - I'm sorry - just licking my wounds a bit and doing Christmas shopping.. Took a half day today and got most everything done.. delighted with myself - I've to work right up to Christmas Eve cos it's our busy time so yeah -- done and dusted bar the shouting.

How's everyone doing? Sounds good Starty - personally I think 'management' is way over-rated - particularly in our 50's or 60's - it's time to be able to wind down.. suits me fine anyway!! So glad those 'important' days are over

Watching Mr Mercedes... bit lost but it's ok.

oh Jacks - I have some very blurry city breaks in my sad old past! Need to re-do quite a few of them!!! and yeah - Christmas markets were a damn good excuse to start at lunchtime!!!
Are the fires under control generally now Bridge or just where the rellies are? so frightening!

    Re: November 2019: International Army

    Evening,
Well done on the Shopping Molly! Im trying to get the kids to tell me what they want, only 1 left for Santa, but the others will play along.
Sobriety has not made me more organised, but it has made me less stressed. I'll get there.

Bridge, thats great the fires are out, are your relations young/old? How does it work, will they start from scratch now? Very difficult for them.
Bet the gossip at work was worth getting up for!
@starty, fantastic. Too many +++ to even consider the alternative. The promise of a pay rise wouldn't come close to the head space you've had since you reduced your hours. Its a win win.

Didnt do a Christmas masket, but also dont remember much of the lovely weekend we spend in Bruge @JackieClaire. Park, bikes, pub, weird art place with wine, hazy hazy hazy..

Mary - I have to agree. I am not more organized but I am less stressed. I'll take it.

Molly - Wow - I have done no Christmas shopping. Oh well - the only one that is important is my granddaughter. And, she's at the age where she'll be happy playing in a box.

JC - How's your friend that you visited with today? I never heard that about leaves on the tracks before. Hmm, do they keep them off the entire track? Now, I'm curious. LOL

Starty - I'm glad that you are happy with the way things are at work. It makes life so much better when we are happy at work.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. It's only Thursday evening here but it must be Friday already some places.

    Re: November 2019: International Army

Morning all! Yes you are all so right, no negatives at all in the great scheme of things. And yes Mary, headspace is vital! Over my life I never ever aspired to be a manager and the only reason it happened was circumstance and length of service. Never applied for it or asked. Much better as a doer. Had a fab day yesterday doing runs for the builder to the merchant for bags of sand and cement. All 350kgs unloaded and stacked by me and then chiselling cement off old paving slabs. Loved it! Today I can hardly move but thats OK

Christmas, l feel for all of you with lots to buy. We only have 3 pressies to get really and I will do that online. I am cooking the meal and for me that will be the most stressful but I break up on 11/12 so have enough time to sort out everything and maybe even have a practise run! I am making a vegan dish that I found online so hope it goes OK.

Molls is it your work situation that is getting you down?

Bridge I will still be working in the same (ish) team as the idiots but not managing them which is a world of difference and mainly my work will be on my own although I will still help out so should be good.

    Re: November 2019: International Army

Well that's the week done that God.
Really need to look at reducing hours next year. Even down to four days would help. These days I am exhausted by Friday and by Fri afternoon am starting to get these sore pimple things on the side of my mouth. Could barely get out of bed this morning. I am still too scared to have a Liver Function Test but I think I will have a full blood count to start and see what comes up.

Mary, they will get the fences fixed at the farm and just wait for the place to regrow. They haven't got enough feed for the cattle so we know what that means....'reducing the herd'. All sorts live there. My Aunt and Uncle are elderly. One of my cousins, his ex-wife, their daughter and grandaughter, some other randoms!
Still plenty of fire activity going on!
