Have a lovely night! yup Storm Denis on his way across the atlantic -- I wonder do our English neighbours get the storms like we do or do we bloke the way? As in - we never get them as bad on the east coast where we all are - as they do on the west coast?

    Re: International Army February 2020

    Morning lovelies.
Just building up to a massive lawn mow after all the rain we've had (not complaining there)

Sadly,Jude , I've had to re-watch a lot of movies over the years as well as re-read books. Still trying to come up with a good reason to drink and failing!

I've been thinking about what you said about your work, Molly. I feel overlooked as well. I think people think of me as a jolly old Mummsy of the workplace or something. And I've got to be honest and say that I do it to myself as well because I fall into that role. I just get really tired of people turning up and expecting to move straight into 'the corner office'. People who think that 'networking' is the same as hard work. They want to 'pick your brain' about something - otherwise known as getting me to do their thinking for them. It's just laziness and entitlement really, not progression on merit. They must feel like frauds at the end of the day, so I feel sorry for them.

Where was I going with that? Oh yes, just keep babbling so you don't have to go out and mow, Bridget.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

If I felt for one SECOND that they had the brains to feel like frauds I wouldn't feel so hard done by and put upon... and you have LITERALLY put it in a nutshell -- laziness and entitlement -- so true -- and yes -- I could be accused of the same thing (allowing myself to fall into the jolly old mumsie role) -- and then I wonder is it my own lack of self confidence that lets me be seen as such.... I hate being wrong and I hate feeling foolish - so being somewhat non-entity-ish I don't leave myself open to anything... and then I wonder is my lack of self confidence down to age or down to the years of feeling less than others because of the hidden drinking.... oh where am I going with that -- I'm just babbling rather than get up and go to bed!!!! Work tomorrow!

@Jude58............I've got a sweatshirt that colour...........needless to say I've worn it maybe twice. All offers gladly received, would make lovely dusters.

Don't have to Buddy proof the house until tomorrow as they're not arriving 'til late on. He's got his kids from a previous relationship all day. Jenny is being gradually introduced to them. Jenny's the first woman he's introduced to them since him and his ex split up about four years ago............all exciting stuff.
Of course, me being nosy would love to know why they split but she sounds like a nightmare.

I'd never have made a nurse. I'm too impatient.

I thought it was Dennis! then menace.
Im nosey too about the ex now

Dont normally get sick, but Ive had the oddest of dose's. Hot, cold, dizzy, dry mouth and every muscle aches, not sick enough to stay at home, but it was always there, weird. Feeling much better today. Maybe its natures reminder of life with hangovers!
