You can all go first for the vaccine. I want to stay home indefinitely and stare out my window. You can all chuck bread and cheese into my front yard for the forseeable future. If the local dogs don't get it first, I'll be set for life.

Hi Brit - life is so much easier on a good night's sleep.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

    Morning all!

    I am with you Bridge

    Enjoy your day off Mary.

Good to see you Brit, I hope you are doing OK. How is Mr A doing?

Hi Mr G, yes all the shops are open now, its seems that pubs and many many major high street shops that are going to the wall. But when you look back, many were struggling before covid. Apparently 900 pubs closed last year alone. I think many habits are changing anyway and covid has exacerbated the situation.

Off for a dark wet walk with me mate soon. Lovely

Afternoon all. Had two walks today. Walked the doggies first and then met another friend and had a walk with her. Hope you enjoy your day off Mary. Cold but at least not raining or snowing, although there was some snow on the hills. Hope you are ok JC, thinking of you. Waves to everyone else.

Thanks Mers. No it's just I find the day pointless unless I'm DOING something that matters. Not ironing or cleaning
Does that make sense. I probably need grandchildren ......
I think I'm possibly missing the residents when I'm off I suppose we all need someone to need us ?
HAving a chat with one of my ladies about going home ( for the 15th time) or plaiting their hair or doing eyebrows really feels like I'm making a small difference. That's what I mean.

Just call me St Satz going forward please ........

    Re: International Army December 2020

I get that St Satz. Right now Im probably where you lot we a decade ago and time to myself is rare. So I run.
Except now, off today and its lovely. Have a lady in doing some plans for the kitchen. I want to rip down walls and windows. WIll probably cost millions to do, but I need a starting plan and can figure out costs with that.

Im with Starty and Bridge! Of course I want to see the back of Covid but I dont want to go back to the way we were. I LOVE working from home. I love that MrM is not stressed commuting on a motorbike for 2 hours a day. I love that Im here for the kids and generally have dinner made when they get here. I love that Im not under any pressure to go for drinks and dinners and for the 1st time in my 5 years sober, Christmas holds no fear for me.
Totally appreciate that others have had a much bumpier ride.

Lady is calling me back with design... zoom.

I like being at home - but jesus I couldn't work from home (even if my job lent itself to it) -- I'm such a loner that it's really important to me to go out and be with people other than the family -- it gives me a lot tbh - but then I'm very lucky - no nasty commute - I've done that in the past and it was really the reason I had to quit a damn good job where I was generally quite happy and earned a ton - but was travelling 4-5 hours a day -- not on... so yeah - it's an easy job to like now -- despite having a micro-managing boss - she's newly promoted and full of self importance - I would really like to think she'll grow up and grow into the job... but if she doesn't I'll move along.

Very cold today - so huge fire going and snuggled up on the couch

shout out to Jacks - hope you're okay - give us a wave or a wink if you feel like it xxx
