Group hug as ordered by Sir Techie.

Just back from next door's doorstep. Its his birthday today so we bought him a painting by numbers, a beret, a fake mustache so he can pretend he's Picasso. Now I'm dreading what I get on Saturday.

@starty........not an easy task, darling. Thinking of you both. My brother and I when we did our mum's house ended up getting a firm that did house clearing as it was making us both so upset.

Think its time for jammies and a bit of knitting to sooth me into sleep.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

    I'm so meh - I want to hug no-one.
Worked Fri, Sat, Sun & today & tomorrow & feeling truly sorry for myself. Just don't have 'potter time' any more. Never seem to have a night going to bed where next day I have NOTHING to do.
And MrS is ALWAYS here ..........
@rustop59 are you ready for Gerard ? I'd say I've eaten the 15lbs back on in the last 2 weeks........ I don't feel I'll get the momentum back again .... hopeless.

Totally get that Satz. Today was the 1st day I actually had to myself (Mr M was onsite) in a very long time. I had to work of course, but there was no.. Mam, wheres mam, Mary, mam.. for maybe 6 hours on the trot.... (sometimes I hide in the loo).

Picked up the kids from school earlier and less than 10 mins later there was a fatal crash on the one I just had just been on. Very sad and slightly terrifying. I could have passed one of the cars on the way home..

Sad time @starty, isnt it great Mr S gets a decent amount of time off.

@JackieClaire, not too early at all for clothes shopping. Looking forward to the fashion show

Also feeling pretty meh and not inclined to huggage. Aren't we a lively lot?
Going to have lunch and adjust attitude.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Mary, I have NO IDEA how you cope with all that wantage. I would live in the loo with headphones and duvet I think.

Satz, can you take some time off and banish Mr S to a shed or summat?

Meeting my friend for a walk at 6.30 this morn. Hopefully she is not meh and I can grab some of her enthuse

Defo no huggage here either. The best bit about this shitty situation imho is the social distancing

Good morning, Been awake since 3 am. Cleared the garage yesterday, loads of tools and fishing gear which I am not sure what to do with. I cannot face going through the clothes yet.
I have a friend coming over for a run later this morning.
One thing about this bereavement thing is that people have been so kind and offers of walks, coffee and garden visits have been so helpful.
All the posh wine is catalogued and on a spreadsheet ready for sale and will get me a new bathroom!

    Re: Army Garrison April 2021

Fully agree bout the huggage...well cept for the grandchildren but manage a sneaky one round my knees occasionally!
Got tearful last night..I had felt it building..worrying about things I can do nothing about...and money and nonsense...feel a bit better for it today tho. I never cleaned out my mum's house..the sister's grabbed all and threw a few 'momentos' for me into a black bag including place mats and travel brochures...I didn't care at the time as long as I could stay away from them but spose I feel the lack of concrete memories now like photos and things but what the hell...she's always in my head and heart..that's all that matters!

Joe's off for his Covid test and pre-op check up today so fingers crossed!
Enjoy your walk Starty it's a lovely morning here!

    Re: Army Garrison April 2021

Good morning everyone. It is a beautiful morning here and my walk with the doggies improved the mood. Hope you enjoyed your early one Starty. Don’t know how you do it Mary, hats off to you. I would give anything for an empty house.

Good luck to Joe, money things will sort themselves out Molly, as long as we all get through this healthy that is the main thing. I’m your sister Satz, eating all around me. Does Gerard watch you get on the scales? Jesus need a pedicure if he does.

Off now for a walk on the promenade with the crochet women, catch up later.
