    Good morning

That sounds like my crochet group JC but the natter is good too. Speaking of nattering we are the three musketeers here. Yourself, myself and Mary. Shout out to LC too, please check in, no judgement here.

Your break sounds like my idea of heaven JC. Iím going to Vienna in December. My friend is 60 and she wants to go to the Christmas markets. I was 60 last year but with lock downs did sweet fanny adams apart from going out to dinner so said I would go with her. Itís the first weekend of December.

Right better go shopping. Daughter is coming home next week, itís her birthday.

Ha, I was 50 last year Rustop, we have a decade between us

That sounds like a fabulous trip to Vienna!

Well the crafting and crocheting is the same as my running group. We solve all life's problems on those days. Sometimes all it takes is a good belly laugh.

Hurt my calf so feeling a bit sorry for myself. No running for a few days.
Big town Hall in work today, we are losing some benefits. Infairness, they are above and beyond, like free company doctor for my entire family, Turkey and ham at Christmas... all negotiated by unions back in the day.

We 3 stooges will hold down the Fort until everyone's home again!!

    Re: Army Thread SEPTEMBER 2022

    Good morning everyone

Sorry to hear about the calf Mary, rest and I am sure it will improve in a few days. I found the yoga really helped my calf’s when they were really tight after doing Ben Nevis. That was a nice perk in the job. Am sure it came in very handy when the kids were young, especially with the cost of doctors in Dublin.

Walk done and going to do a bit of yoga in a few minutes. Have hair appointment at 11 and then the dreaded grocery shop. Have to work tomorrow as the girl I job share with is out.

    Afternoon stooges,

Mr JC's off today to take his dad to get a cataract removed. His appointment isn't until 1pm but he called and said he needed a few bits and pieces before they go so Mr JC was off to get him at 11:30am.
Yer man at the group I go to who's knitting is really good.
    We're off quizzing tonight.
I'm at the hairdressers on Saturday morning.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

I'm with you on the yoga Rustop. I do a little routine with a YouTuber called Mady Morrison. No talking, just gentle music. She's very good.

Hope your winning that quiz @JackieClaire! And they have more imaginative prizes than bottles of wine
Popped into work today. We all had the same idea so not much work done, but plenty of nattering.
I'm turning the rads back on, one by one.

I hear your PM getting a lot of stick today JC. We just had our mini budget. Some provisions made, but will see how far that will go..

Calf a bit better, so drama over!

Bet you look georgous today Rustop

Sleep tight LC. Glad you checked in and hope you get things sorted with your sister. Families are a major source of stress. Good morning everyone else. Did you win anything JC? Hope it wasn’t a bottle of wine, useless prize but I suppose you could regift it. Hope Mr JC’s Dads procedure went ok yesterday too.

Glad that the leg is improving Mary, not long now until the marathon. I’m going to a walking festival that weekend. It is only in Glendalough and we will come home but will hike for two of the days. I’m off on a long hike this Sunday too, again locally.

Right better get moving I have work to go to.

@lifechange.....................good to see you. Sorry for your troubles.

@IamMary................we came 7th. It is 4 bottles of wine when you win............we used to put it to one side for Christmas.

Father in law is like a whining toddler as he has to wear an eye covering for a week and has to put drops in the eye. I pity my MIL.

And to top it all, there's a problem with transmitters around the country here. We can only get BBC1 and BBC2.

But this time next week I'll be getting my bags out for a week in North Yorkshire

See you in a bit Molls.................was wondering where Satz has got to.

    Re: Army Thread SEPTEMBER 2022

Howdy again -- had to deal with something big when we came home but all okay now.... Elsie -- omg I sympathise re. the family issues -- mine have been a bit endless really -- had no contact whatsoever with either of my sisters for 12 years - but am in touch with one of them now and it's hesitant but quite nice..... just keep your cool and enjoy your break.

oh Mary - so sorry to hear MrM may have long covid -- I saw it in action first hand with a woman I worked with -- she got covid very early on -- and she had the weirdest effects... couldn't use her arm for about 2 years and severe abdominal pains... however the good news with her is that she's almost grand now -- the handwriting is bizarre isn't it!!
Vienna sounds fabulous Rusters --- would LOVE to go.... actually I'm only home but planning my next break in my head -- LURVE holidays!!!

Not much else to declare -- delighted you're getting a break Jackie -- hopefully it'll be that lovely sort of autumnal weather (I love autumn!)

Right -- back out to my garden -- looks a bit raggedy but surprisingly survived..... laters gaters..
