Super Sober Shout Out Sunday! June 11th, 2023

I'd like to see a big SUPER SOBER SHOUTY OUTY from members who have been here a while, those starting out again or those just starting out for the very first time.........don't forget to shout LOUD AND PROUD!

Don't be shy and give it a try, remember each and every one of us here started with a day one!!!!

SHOUT IT LOUD AND SHOUT IT PROUD. STAY STRONG AND KEEP THINKING POSITIVE ONE AND ALL. LET'S GIVE OUR BEST TOGETHER

By using the time and date app........ you'll know whether you've a roundy number or not a roundy number..........Date Duration Calculator: Days Between Dates

For me (Sunday) it is 3071 days from the start date to the end date, or 8 years, 4 months, and 29 days including the end date.
Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

    A lovely roundy 3640 days
(9 years, 11 months, 19 days since the last alcohol drink passed these lips)

No wait ...... I tell a lie. As you all may know my son YS is a chronic alcoholic. About 2 weeks ago I picked if a bottle of fizzy water and took a large gulp. It was laced with vodka.
I felt nothing but pity for him - because we've all been there.
Thanks to MWO and a huge desire to be 'normal' like others on here, I dodged that particular bullet.

    9 years 6 months and 10 days.

Satz, i was given choccies for xmas (albeit late, March) and popped one in my mouth and was full of liqueur. I just waited for my brain to go "give me more" but nope. Its freeing to not have that need to drink.

Thankfully I've not tasted any alcohol since I've quit, almost mistook a Pepsi for a can of Bud Light just the way the can was facing me, but when I went to open it, I noticed the mistake.

Me too Ava - but I had to go eat something to remove the taste from my mouth.
