    Doing sober now

Today. How good will it be to be sober from now on?

No need to drink any day , no advantages to drinking

Try and remember that Kev..... when the hangover fades and the memory of the hangover fades and the mates want you to go out for a few..........
I admire that you keep trying --- I feel you need to truly examine your relationship with alcohol tho - cos I do think that after a while you convice yourself that you are 'alright' --- key to the problem there Kev!!!

Anyway -- good luck and if you need chat or support -- we are all here for you -- that's the point of the site --
    Contentedly sober since 27/12/2011

    Thought of the day.

Good to not give the alcohol companies any money.

    Another one tomorrow

Kev if the cost of alcohol is a disincentive - great !
Never was for me - 'cos once you have money what's to stop you.

I would say also focus on :
Damage to your liver (that will have a knock-on effect EVENTUALLY to your general health.)
    Damage to your work
    Damage to your relationships
    Damage to your self-esteem

A lot of these may not have happened YET ........ but they will...............

    Yours Sincerely

    Thank you sats

I have to post something once a day, ideally a different reason to a recent one.

Will end up repeating myself but that's ok 🙂

I've done a fair amount of research into this and alochol is so incredibly bad for you body. It effects/damages so many systems, from various organs to hormones to the brain and nervous system. It's left me with a myriad of health conditions and while some are reversible some seem not to be (the magic idea that quitting drinking would just solve everything unfortunately isn't reality)... so: much better to quit before these things crop up.

So true! It literally is toxic to the body.
Once a pickle, never a cucumber again.
