    Sobriety. Whatever that is.

Tracy just sent me a pm with a very similar byeline.

In many ways I relate sobriety to the living, knawing, pervading, ever present, unhapiness that is the reality of my existence. Alcohol, heroin give me temporary release from this exhausting life.

This is why I think so many of us are reluctant to give up our vices/drug of choice. They give us needed relief.

I need to do 2 things
    1) Fully understand that Sobriety doesn't = anguish/pain/unhappiness
    2) Address the problems that do = my anguish/pain/unhapinaess
Then I will finally be ready for sobriety and reality

I hear you Ig2 but as long as I can remember I've been drunk on one thing or another. Maybe the only 'sobriety' I can relate to is: when I realised I had to act differently to how I was, otherwise my mother wouldn't love me.

Not a place that is so appealing.

Just a rumination you simplistic amoeba.

There's no need to degrade into name calling you simpleton. I had a mother. Although on reflection maybe you have a point,,,,,,,,,,she was never there emotionally for me. Does that qualify me for bastard status or for that mater, bipolar status, intimacy issues, codependent.............
