G-Man found us! He's always following the ladies around. That's ok because he is a hunk, so he can stay! :h
J-Vo really did put on her big-girl-leadership panties didn't she? Good job J! :H
Not much to report today. I'm cutting my hair again next week. At this rate I will look like Sinead Oconnor soon.
How is everybody doing? Staying strong?

Way to go J-Vo! Pav is gonna be happy
Hey, I am the last person to help with that technical stuff. Sorry, I say 'download' about everthing!
Available, and everyone, I am sure we all remember movies better when we are sober. So many times I have watched a movie which I am told I watched before but do not really remember it. I have missed some really good movies that I have watched, haha!
Humble, I am joing Kindspring too. Humble and Patrice, I see you have also.
Ann, That made me laugh about the AA meeting and thinking of that man as a father figure and realizing he is about your age. That happens to me all the time! I think "ya, he is so old" and realize he is the same age or only slightly older than me!
Hey G-Bloke hello!
Gals, I just want to say that All are welcome to this thread. We don't want to exclude anyone at all. I am sure there a lot of women who have the same issues as us that are on MWO.
So happy to have you as my friends Ladies!
I don't drink.

Narilly,
The worst of it is seeing guys who you think are pretty cute and you have a brief thought about them-and then realize they are probably 35! How did this happen, becoming 57? I guess ODAT!
Am doing well, 8 days. Makes a big difference in energy level and overall wellbeing. Can't wait to hit 30, on Dec. 30!
K9, short hair is where it's AT! So much easier. I'm sure you will look great!
Ann

Just a quick checkin in at work. Mr G you are not to comment when the lovelies on here bitch about their men. I find it amusing thank you so i dont want them to stop.
Jvo i download the movies onto my laptop, they are normally not quite a gig. I have just started watching Dexter SEries 1 and I think it is up to series 8 so that will keep me amused also.
Boss at work was ok but so busy. Oh Pat i wake up for a cup of tea and a fag too sigh. It is too dark to go for a walk before work, that is my excuse.

Oh yeah Ann, try checking out a cute dude and finding out he's 17 and goes to school with your daughter!
I don't have one man in particular to bitch about, so I will just bitch about them ALL, ok? (Except for our beloved G-ster)

Basketball game was a nail biter! We won 51-43.
NS, I'm definitely mastering my math skills! I practiced "counting up" as I was giving change. I actually had fun. And I practiced on my sales skills. "I'll have a hot dog please." Me - "And what would you like with that hot dog? A gatorade, a candy bar?" Yes, and almost every time I did it, they considered it and said yes!
Ann, yes we did get to middle age ODAT! So glad your energy levels are returning!
Available. I'm going to look into the downloading. If it's not that much, I should have to worry as we just got a new MAC. It's really nice, but I love my IPad and I love to watch stuff from it, because i can do it anywhere in the house. Hmmm. Sounds like I'm talking about sex!
Hi K9, Dottie, Humble, Pav, Freefly, Scottish Lass, Running, Ann, and all you wonderful ladies. Nite!

K9, yes I love short hair too. Easy to take care of and looks good on young ladies like us.
Ya, that young guy thing. The security guard in my bldg is so cute and he always gives me a big smile. For a sec I thought maybe he liked me....and then I realized he was probably 25 years younger than me. When did that happen?!
J-VO......sounds like you Really do love your iPad, lol!
Good night ladies.
I don't drink.

MAE, Everyone:
Love to have G-man or anyone drop in. I will have to give props to my DH here, and say that he has been beyond supportive in my dire straits last week. Remind me of this the next time I have a rant? I love that you took charge, J-Vo. I feel like it is always a teacher taking charge, which is why we have so much trouble in my family - four teachers. You can imagine the bossiness quotient - can't even chop the basil without advice.
I was just at a conference sitting next to a very good looking, tall, smart and funny presenter and I'm pretty sure I was blushing the whole time. I called my sister after and told her I had found her second husband - she said "how old is he?" Only 33 or so. Did someone say cougar? I always said that if I got to a certain (low weight) I would chop my hair off, dye it blonde and buy a leather mini-skirt. Hasn?t happened yet, but there?s still time. You?ll look great, K-9
Anyway - today I had another therapy appointment. More than talk to me, I told her a lot about MWO and the support I find here from so many different types of people, and from so many who have so much in common with me. Alcoholism can be so isolating - it really is wonderful to have you all as validation that I am not alone on this journey.
I had my Dad over for dinner and made him a drink (he lives in the apt. upstairs so I ran up and made him one). He has two measured drinks a night, every night, period (well, maybe a third on Christmas eve). I wasn't tempted at all, but as I was pouring in the measuring jigger, some spilled on my thumb. I almost licked it off out of habit - yikes! I should probably say no to such things until I am feeling stronger - or maybe forever.
Dottie ? sorry about your palpitations. Many, many people in my family have atrial fibulation or irregular heartbeats (but you usually can?t feel them) all of the time. Annoying, for sure.
J-vo ? my sister did the concession stand at a baseball game with a well-known musician whose kid played on her team. He was confused and kept miscounting the change so every once in a while he?d just throw a $20 in the till. They made a lot of money that night! Congratulations on your win.
Humble, J-Vo: As for exercise ? my doctor put it this way?It is your medicine. You don?t always like to take your medicine, but you know you have to, so you do. Exercise for me is that important that I have to treat it like medicine. I find once I get on a roll it is harder to stop than to actually exercise. I could NEVER do it at 4:30am, however, so I try to squeeze what I can in after work and do a lot on the weekends. My knee is tweaked, but when it gets better I will try NS?s 7 minute workout. Who?s in??
Ann, I am with you ? I have a ton more energy. Available ? sorry you had to get out of bed this morning ? sometimes it is so hard to face the bleeps at work. Hope your day was ok.
Patrice, I am actually to a point when a cig. doesn't sound good to me. It is so socially unacceptable where I live that you can find yourself at a party of 100 people and not one person is smoking. Made it harder and harder to do, and eventually I quit. But I?ll have some latte, if you please?
AoM ? Keep telling us about AA ? I am interested and love the tidbits. I will think of my gratitude for going to bed sober each night and hope to wake up feeling the same way, too.
Narilly ? hope you?re keeping warm.
Everyone else, thanks again. As usual, I am so grateful for this group of wonderful women (and now a man!) keeping me on the right path.
