Morning friends, Snoop, glad you feel young in spirit, I've always been sort of a wise beyond my years sort of person, maybe not so wise but definitely more of a maturity when growing up,maybe that's why my wild phase didn't hit until I was 32?up til then I was raising babies, first my mom's 5 cuz she was to drunk to care much and then I had Michelle at 17 and had all 4 by 24 but I was happy with it,ah who knows, BTW Michelle is better, hasn't seen anyone yet but she's been acting OK,cloudy and humid and hot here today, hope it rains, need to get ready hope everyone has a nice Wednesday
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

    Good morning friends!

We need to start a JULY thread, don't we? Maybe tomorrow, LOL

We had one spectacular thunder storm last night. It seemed to just hang directly over our house for a very long time. My big dog was nervous, rare event for her but she paced & panted, geez. The power went out but only for about 2 hours.

Had the boys here again yesterday afternoon, finally shoved them & their mother out at 10 pm, ugh.
I've decided my younger grandson has PMS, ha ha!! What a grump-meister! I hope he gets thru this phase quickly

Greetings Star, Pauly, Dill, Cyn & Papmom!
I have to agree that we may be different but still have an awful lot in common. Being women just naturally puts us into familiar territory.

Star, I'm sorry your Dad has not responded to his chemo. If he's losing weight that rapidly he is obviously having a hard time nourishing himself. It has to be his choice to continue or not continue treatments. I know how hard this is on the entire family. I will keep all of you in my thoughts & prayers

Pauly, like you I didn't begin my bad drinking behavior until much later in life. I've realized that I had no childhood & my young adulthood was all about working, taking care of other people, raising kids, etc. Essentially what I did was indulge in a major pity party from age 45-ish to 55 until I quit. Not ever going back to that, not for anything or anyone.

OK, wishing everyone a great AF Wednesday!

    Lav
    AF since 03/26/09
    NF since 05/19/09
Success comes one day at a time

    Hello all -

Quick login to say 'hi'. HAPPY BELATED ANNIVERSARY, LAV! Congrats on making it work and protecting yourself - - if that was the karmic lesson, you aced it!

Star - my heart absolutely goes out to you; what a tough deal for you and your family. I'm sending you lots and lots of support and healing prayers for all...

Dill - the gooseberry story was decades ago when I was on a fly-fishing trip on the Bighorn river in WY. Two of us were on the river with our guide. We stopped for lunch on a little island, and the guide set up his camp stove and cooked a delicious lunch, complete with gooseberry crumble - from the gooseberries he picked on the island. At the end of the day we were floating to the destination, and I looked up at the most enormous and beautiful moon I have ever seen. As it happens, it was a 'blue moon' - a month where it was the second full moon in the calendar month. I still have the picture in my mind's eye, and can practically taste the gooseberries still. I think being immersed in nature gives us such sharp, defined memories...

Pauly - hope all is stable with your family. What a ride you've had all these years. Pap - there's a quilt shop up here that advertises that they will finish you quilt for you! I would need that if I were a quilt maker...

Hope everyone is staying well. I am a little less overwhelmed today; I managed to get some important business done yesterdat, but still am being part of the family, and enjoying the natural sights and the feeling of water close by.

    Take care all -
