Hiya ABers, oh my what an experience. I got my treatment yesterday afternoon and still quite groggy.
It's NOT for the faint of heart lets say. Just laying down a lot as I reenter reality here.
I'll post more when I get my stamina back but I'm home, AF and ok thankfully.

SF, oh my! Reading your post gave me chills, I understand all of it, believe me. Just last night I posted my shitty anniversary history on the other monthly thread & how a MAJOR 25th anniversary disappointment led me into my troubled drinking years, Please don't go there, you already know it won't help. I ended up hurting myself pretty badly drinking AT my clueless spouse. You deserve to do whatever you want to do, remember that Happy belated birthday to you!

Pauly, I really think there is just too much sin in sin city for me - I am way too old for all that, ha ha!

PQ, we keep getting thunder storms so we don't have to do too much watering......almost a blessing I guess. The humidity is gross though, ugh.

Lav-I just read through your story and you certainly have been through a lot. I can see where this would lead to drinking, but since I have been down that road its really not an option. Plus, I am a much more effective at putting my foot down sober. I know too many times in the past it was easy for me to let things slide because I was drinking. Then for special events as long as booze was around I was pretty content to just get drunk. Now that whole tide is turning and it is not ok to be a shithead. Not on my birthday or when you plan vacations that cost thousands of dollars. And it is not ok to teach my boys to be shitheads. His behavior really changed when it became him making the bulk of the money. I'm just done with it. I need to just shut off the valve that gives a shit when it comes to him. I will never cancel plans with friends, because he wants me to. I will not be guilted into this "mommy crap". Quite frankly, with this last go around I have absolutely no expectations when it comes to him. Can't let me down, when I didn't expect crap to begin with. We've been living separate lives for the most part and that will continue---and may expand into me leaving. Right now we would have to sell the house and uproot the boys from the schools they are attending. There are still things that we need to get them to and from. Honestly, its just easier to live in the same house for now.

I did cancel the October trip. My intention to re-book it for another week and go off by myself. I would make it a "girls trip", but I really don't want to deal with everyone wanting to do something different at different times. Those things sound all fun and they can be. But I want to be on my own time, do things when I want and go where I want.

Sorry its all about me. Worked late and wrapping the night up. Catch up over the next few days.

Mae everybody, Mick I look forward to see in the pics SF,I completely spaced wishing you a Happy belated birthday yesterday,sounds like you do have a strong grip on the situation and know that drinking would only loosen that grip,Det,hope you're feeling better today,I read that's why people hafta have that done under a doctor cuz it makes you spacey,Lav,yep too much for one place thats why I go to work and home,that's also why I never wanted to effin live here in the first damn place but we needed money,still need money so here I am,hubs has bad stomach flu or ate something off,he's been on his chair all day yesterday except for bathroom trips hope I dont get it!
