      MAE ALL...

Raining here too Mick...actually we're under a sever thunderstorm watch. It was kind of eerie out all day, very dark clouds hanging around. I like a good thunderstorm as long as I don't lose power or have to go anywhere. It was one thing to cover my boss during his chemo brain fog but it's not happening with the new guy. One of the things he hasn't got around to yet is reviewing job descriptions. I'm going to make him spell it out in black and white who is responsible for what. That's a first for the horses isn't it? Glad you were able to replant them.

Pauly...I agree. Sometimes I think I'm just too nice. Hampsters were the only pet my kids had too. Hope you had a good day.

Shout out to everyone else. Got to start the bacon for bacon and tomato sandwiches for dinner tonight. Hope we all have a peaceful evening....PPQP

      Good evening Abbers,

That's a very welcoming doorway you have there Mick
I can't imagine horses pulling rose bushes out of the ground but if you say so, ha ha! I know the damage deer have done to our fruit trees by eating the tops right out of the trees, geez.

Pauly, good luck with the hamster. We had one once & that was enough for me, LOL I think the poor thing literally ate himself to death, he was obese at the end.

PQ, be grateful for the rain. We are starting another heat wave tomorrow that's supposed to hang around all week with temps feeling like 100+, ugh.
I hope you get your job description settled very soon!!!

My grandson will be here tomorrow after dinner to spend the night & all day Wednesday & the night too (I think). The younger grandson is apparently going on a business trip with his mother. I really don't have any information because she hasn't talked to us for almost a year
I'm just making the best of every day & grateful for whatever I get at this point.

Hello to the rest of the rcew & wishing everyone a nice night!

      Ahoy hoy ABerooos!

Mick, thanks for the humorous bootup as always. Is monitoring commercial air traffic a hobby of yours? I'm into all manner of esoteric things
myself. Those roses are just amazing...so many great colors.
One of your jokes from yesterday includes with word perspicacious which happens to be my word for today. I only just read back today to see it.... hmmmm.

Lav, enjoy your family visit and try not to melt

Got out to shoot with a buddy yesterday and we enjoyed several hours of deep and interesting conversation about consciousness, physics and all manner
of geeky good fun. If anyone wants to check out some amazing fun with physics and nature just google 'the Fibonacci sequence'. Amazing stuff.

Allergies are zonking me pretty hard but compared to a hangover or dreaded AL detox this is child's play.

      let's all have a super kick-booty Tue

      MAE ALL...

Lav...have fun with the grandson tonight.

Sam...wish I knew a trick to help you retain the material. You're never to old to learn. Look at the lot of us. LOL

Pauly...I've never suffered from allergies but I hear they can come on at anytime of your life. Mick's probably out corralling the horses. Little bit of Calgary stampede in his own backyard.

Heading out in the pouring rain. Thunderstorms last night and the one's this morning woke me about 4am. Have a good one all....PPQP

      A Dog named Sex
Folks generally aren't very creative in choosing names for their dogs.
That's why there are so many named Rover and Spot.
But, have you heard the plight of the fellow who thought he'd be cute and named his dog Sex?
      It goes like this:
"One day Sex and I took a walk and he ran away from me. I spent hours looking for that dog. A policeman came by and asked what I was doing in this alley at midnight? I told him I was looking for Sex.
My case comes up next Tuesday."
"But, that ain't the worst part. One day, I went to the town hall to get a dog license for Sex.
The clerk asked me what I wanted. I told him I wanted a license for Sex.
He said, 'I'd like to have one, too.'
      Then, I said, 'You don't understand. She's a dog.'
He said he didn't care how she looked.
When I told him I'd had Sex since I was 5, he said, “You must have been an early bloomer."
"When I decided to get married, I told the minister I wanted to have Sex at the wedding. He told me I'd have to wait until after the wedding. When I protested that Sex had played a big part in my life and that my whole life revolved around Sex, he said he didn't want to hear about my personal life."
"After my wife and I were married, I took the dog with us on the honeymoon. When I checked into the hotel, I told the clerk I wanted a room for my wife and wanted one for Sex.
She said. 'Every room in the hotel was for sex.'
I said, 'You don't understand. Sex keeps me awake at night.'
The clerk said, 'Me, too.' "
"When my wife and I separated, we went to court to fight for custody of the dog. When I told the Judge I had Sex before I was married, he grinned and said, “ Me. too."
"Now that I've been thrown in jail, married, divorced and had more trouble with that dog than I ever imagined, I'm in counseling. My psychiatrist asked me what my problem was. I said 'Sex has died and left my life. It's like losing a best friend and I'm so lonely,' I told him.
He said, “Look, you and I both know that sex isn't man's best friend. Get yourself a dog."

I had my audition for "The Chase" today, and the last question was, "What do Justin Timberlake, Selena Gomez, and Britney Spears have in common?"
I said, "Mickey Mouse Club." Bradley Walsh said, "I'll accept that, they're all Liverpool fans!"

      Heya ABernooodlers!

back from the salt mines and had a great therapy session.

Mick, the pink speckled is spectacular! did you come up with a hybrid? never seen one myself.

Sam, I'd say you are a prime candidate for a nootropic 'smart drug' have a look here Nootropics | Brain Boosting Supplements
I'm not in any way affiliated with them, but I've used aniracetam and noopep and found both to be very helpful
for mental acuity. My doctor used peracetam for his medical exams and said they were a blessing. Brain hacks!

I've been watching loads of youtube and TED talks on the subject of human consciousness which is my current
subject of fascination. Such a deep and heavy subject, yet so fun. Ok, I'm a weirdo.

Pauly, I was tired today myself and not sure why. Will try for a full 8hrs tonight and see how goes.

Well, off to finish spicy Italian sausage and broccoli while watching neuroscience vids....

      Good evening Abbers,

Happy to be hosting my grandson, he's turning into a nice kid! He's pleasant & helpful & interested in so many things. Now if his little brother could pick up some of those traits.....
Still hot & grossly humid here, yucky.

Mick, that sure is an uprooted rose bush, geez! I love the pink specks on the creamy rose, very nice
Glad your curtains are ready for you, you should be almost ready for a road trip soon.

Sam, I know that older folks can learn but we just need to do it differently. what worked back in our college days no longer applies unfortunately. For me I find it helpful to read thru the material & takes notes then keep going back over those notes until it sinks in. I actually found out that I did better on testing as I got older than I did as a youngster, go figure. Good luck & stay positive

Det, you are turning into our resident geek & there's nothing wrong with that, ha ha! Whatever you are interested in is what you should pursue.

PQ, your thunderstorm is due to arrive here tomorrow afternoon!

      Hey there Pauly & everyone!

Wishing everyone a peaceful night & try not to have nightmares about the lunacy going on in DC
