    Re: May Movers & Shakers

    Good evening friends,

SK, I am so sorry about your trip, such a disappointment I'm sure. Deep breaths & always remember you are a winner, no need to be embarrassed. I misplace things more than I care to admit. There's always the possibility of rescheduling your trip, right? Hang out here with us

SnoopStar! Ha ha, what's in a name anyway? Looks like the website got you real good, sorry.
CONGRATS on your 90 AF days, That's a solid start for sure. You just keep doing what you're doing, it's working!
We never got the promised rain last night but the cooler weather did arrive sometime during the night. Hoping to actually be able to sleep for real tonight!
I picked up a few more plants today - for my herb garden but haven't gotten to them yet, I hope you enjoyed all you had on your to do list today

Pauly, I think the moon is messing with everyone's sleep this week. You seem to be healthy, I would not worry about imminent death, Lol
I know my dog was awake as much as I was last night - too stuffy in the house to sleep, ugh.

Cyn, I hope you got your screens in so you can enjoy this cooler air. It's the least we deserve after all this ridiculous weather.
I picked up a few hanging pots from one of the Amish farms all planted up & ready to hang - 2 for $20 - can't beat that price for ready to hang beauty, haha!

I had a frozen roasted turkey breast in the freezer so I turned that into turkey salad. I made a bowl of chickpea pasta salad & a big green salad for dinner tonight. Not hot foods after all this hot weather. I'll figure out something for tomorrow when tomorrow gets here.
    Have a nice night everyone!

    Re: May Movers & Shakers

    Good morning...

Today the website messed with me again, I am kind of sick of it. Anyway, had a lazy day yesterday after exercise and baby shower which was fun. I like most of my neighbors alot and it was fun to spend time with them.

Lav, turned out cloudy and not as warm as the forecast predicted. Cloudy and 60s again today, that is fine with me.

    Pauly, hey, sweet dreams.

Cyn, hope things are going well.

Skendall, did you end up finding the card?

    Have a good one.

    Re: May Movers & Shakers

    Morning all!

Pauly, what a story! You are beautiful, glowing and healthy, so no worries there - but what a coincidence! I think there are some major planetary shifts or something going on... maybe just spring. Last night I heard a lot of gun noise or fireworks or something, and then a pack of coyotes close by and howling to beat the band... that was sort of chilling... wishing you a good unworried day today!

SK, how are you doing? I am in Lav's camp, misplacing things all the time - doctor's orders, special receipts i need, etc., our lives are a little too crazy in these days. Be kind and gentle to yourself -- self-care!

Star, so sorry about the login problems... please hang in there, it is so good to know how all is going for you! How great that you are connected to your neighbors, that baby shower sounds fun.

Lav, what a great price on hanging plants! I have not even gotten myself to a garden center this spring, but I know the baskets will be from 15 to 20 dollars for each one! I'd rather plant my own -- all that plastic that gets thrown out each year is really starting to bother me... we'll see if I can get some pots put together!

No more screens put up yesterday... I didn't even get the hose out. I worked at my client's, and came home with all sorts of plans, but my ankle is hurting and I am still really tired, so I puttered around inside instead. I had had a major ant infestation, so had moved Everything off of one counter in the kitchen, so I had to clean up and put all of that back. That was enough for me!

    Happy Sunday to all --

    Re: May Movers & Shakers

    Hi everyone.

I kind of felt I should take a break. The day of the flight and big search, My face started tingling and I had a really bad headache. It scared me. I normally have good b/p readings, but who knows where it was. I needed the trip to gain perspective, etc. I left Peggy at the sitters for 2 days and both nights I slept 12 hours straight, unheard of for me. I think all this stuff I've been dealing with came to an exhausting head, and the pain is just chronically awful. I am still very tired and have no motivation, I should have left Peggy for a few more days. When I don't fall asleep until 3:00 a.m. I still get up when Peggy paws me usually 6 - 7 am, and can't nap.

A new Spine Institute has opened up and I'm booking an appt. tomorrow.

    Thank you.

Pauly, glad you're still with us. Those allergies are awful for you.

I feel a lot better hearing from all of you.

Star, congrats on your 90 days, that's an important milestone and you seem to have achieved it without too much white knuckling. Good for you.

Cyn, thanks for your support alongwith the other ladies.

2 for $10.00 Lav, I would have grabbed them too.

    Never did find the card.

    Re: May Movers & Shakers

    Greetings friends!

Geez, this entire day got away from me.
Had another crappy night last night, the 4th in a row & no reason for it really. Must be the shifting planets & bizarre weather or something.

Star, glad you found your way onto the site - don't know what's going on with it, who knows?
Good yo enjoyed the baby shower & your neighbors. I sometimes really miss having friendly neighbors but people around here seem to be more interested in hiding than making friends, oh well.

Cyn, when we buy directly from the growers here it's buying wholesale & it's a big savings. By the time those flowers get to a market somewhere they'll be marked up.
I did get a few more plants dug in today before the thunderstorm arrived. It's cooler now Maybe you won't even miss the screens tonight!

Pauly, I've never taken chromium picolinate or royal jelly so I'm not sure what sort of reactions you could experience. Why did you start the new product? If you're trying to reduce anxiety take a look at your caffeine intake (coffee, tea & chocolate) & be sure to use the sleep hypnosis that addresses anxiety -very helpful

SK, glad to see you checking in today. Sorry but you must be feeling like a ton of bricks fell on you. Too much BS would get to any of us - we're only human.
Just look after yourself the best you can. I hope you get an appointment at the Spine Institute very soon

    Wishing everyone a nice night!

    Re: May Movers & Shakers

    Good morning...

Skendall, wishing you the best, it was good you took a break and let yourself sleep long and hard for a few nights. Sleep is so healing.

Pauly, hope you are feeling better, not sure about the supplements.

Cyn, wish you could hire someone to put up the screens, the weather here is perfect, sunny and 70s, I need the windows open. Hope that ankle gets better, I know it just takes time. Love the affirmation, I have amazing strength within me. True true.

Lav, hope you can start sleeping better, I hate when I can't sleep. Then I nap because I am exhausted, and try to stay up later. We were super busy yesterday with outside yard work, sweeping up some fall leaves, mowing, getting out the hoses, bird baths, other yard decorations, and planting a clematis that I need to water today. I rode my bike for the first time this year and we took a walk, plus yoga in the morning, so I was exhausted later in the evening. This week I have to look at flowers, and I can assure you they were expensive. Cheaper at the grocery store, so will go there this week. It is all good. I got my 90 day token at a meeting yesterday too, this time is different for me. I wish I had done this ten years ago, but happy I am AF now. My mood, my attitude, my sleep, my body, everything is so much better, when I get the random thought, I realize that alcohol does nothing for me, always worse, never better. I saw a tent with live music outside a bar yesterday about 1 pm, and thought about that. Those people who drink are having fun now, but later will feel like crap, then either suffer or drink more to feel better. There is no way drinking during the day is going to feel good later. No way. I hate the way alcohol is pushed on everyone all the time. Anyway, no more for me.

Today busy and wanting to be outside as much as possible. Hope you all have a wonderful AF Monday.

    Re: May Movers & Shakers

    Morning all --

SK, thanks for posting -- we all understand needing to take a break, so good that you are taking care of yourself. Great plan that you left Peggy at the sitters! I think lack of sleep is one of the hardest things, and contributes so much to pain. Maybe someone can help with the sleep part? We are all such a puzzle, and so many things coming into play. Glad to hear about the spine center... you deserve healing and pain-free days, may it be so!

Lav, no need for screens, the weather turned blissfully cooler! And I left some screens in all winter, and just put one crucial one in, I don't really care if they get cleaned! Bright sunny and cool this morning. I'd like to get out to pull the garlic mustard which is about to flower, uuugh. My foot hurts most during the night, so I am icing it now -- we'll see if I can get out there for a bit.

Star, congrats on you 90 days coin... that must be so special. And so nice that you have a community there -- congrats again for taking such positive action! Wow, I was exhausted just reading your day yesterday... but so nice that you and hubs like to work on the yard and do other things together. Hope you got your well-earned rest last night.

Pauly, yep, succulents are the way to go in the desert, for sure! I remember that the lantana would grow well in plantings by our desert house, (though it's poisonous for pets, our dogs never touched it, thank goodness.) Hope you get your herbal support figure out. I am going back to my daily meditations, which I stopped doing a couple of weeks ago when my schedule got so nutty. I do think they have a subtle but incredibly strong effect on us.

I spent two hours filling out all the health questionnaires to send to my doc for my meeting with her tomorrow. I always feel so apologetic when I fill those out -- by looking at me on paper, I am the healthiest person! I hope that she can see beyond the answers. There were unusual questions too though, about childhood and adult trauma, the source of your water, lead exposure, toxin exposures. Yesterday I gave myself some good information -i went off my grain-free diet, just to buy a high-quality granola parfait, as I was famished... and neither my gut or my body was happy with that choice! In fact I had a headache and lots of body aches for the first time since I started this low-fodmaps protocol. So interesting, I forgotten to be grateful that with all my hard physical activity each day for the last few weeks, I was "feeling no pain". A good reminder!!
