      MAE ALL...

Mick...kettle breaking is worse than me forgetting to stock up on coffee. Hope the internet got sorted. When's your next practice hike or are you just going to wait for the big one?

Hope everyone had a good day, I'm off to make something to eat, I'm starving.....PPQP

      Re: may 5

      Good evening Abbers,

It was a good day. I managed to avoid catching the depressive vibes in the air around here, geez. Someone is pretty miserable here & I refuse to catch that sh*t
But, still it was a good day, everyone survived. Funny (not funny) story - YB went out to his desk area in his garage. He opened the cabinet door above his desk to get something & the whole darn cabinet fell off the wall, bringdown the wall mounted TV with it - OMG!
He texted me HELP! I ran out & found him trapped in his desk chair with the TV on his head & the cabinet on top of his desk, contents spilled out all over the place.
I swear I think it was the Universe telling him to stop his complaining!!! That cabinet has been hanging on that wall since the garage was built, why would it fall today?
Can't wait to see what the rest of the week brings LOL

Mick, hope your internet is fixed by now.
The Amish folks down the road from us have a whole bunch of tiny lambs right now. I love driving by them, so cute.

PQ, what did you have for dinner?
I tossed some Italian sausage, pasta, tomatoes, tomato paste & seasoning in the IP. When it was done I stirred in some dairy free mozzarella shreds - yum

Hello to the rest of our crew & hope everyone has a good night!

      Ahoy hoy ABerooooos!

back from looking at cars in the rain... between a Nissan Murano and a BMW 535Xi I know... so very different.
Do I want to be practical or do I want to act out on a mid-life crisis? LOL

Lunch date was fab and lasted 4 hours. At the end we shared an epic hug that we didn't want to end... that's a pretty
darn good sign I'd say and we've been texting like teenagers.

Dinner was also fab and I'm glad I didn't chicken-out as we had a lovely time and it was so nice to hang out with Dx again.
i'm grateful that we can be friends after all we've been through.

And... drumroll please.... I discovered a superb Italian deli called 'Eataly' at 'the park MGM'. they about had to call a SWAT team
to get me out of the place... danger! my new 2nd home I'd say.

Lav, pics of your flowers? what a comedic tragedy with YB... wow.

Mick, broken kettle? that's an official disaster in England I'm sure. Calves sound very cute, like all baby animals I suppose.

      PPQ, what did you make?

ok, time to figure out some chow for me too it would seem.

      be well loves

      Re: may 5

Mae all - sorry to be away, very busy times here...

Mick, the hikes sound wonderful! I live in a fabulous place for hiking (part of the Appalachian Trail) but because of my schedule (and ticks) I rarely get out there. I have been watching the calves and lambs on the farms around here - so adorable. I just can't eat beef after watching those adorable creatures, and I finally convinced my husband to stop with the lamb chops... he said he never connected the food to actually lambs!!! RE: Annie Grace, I (like Det) am a big fan of brain research and info, so the information about how AL changes out brains and bodies is fascinating. Helps to be reminded that it is a poison, and hugely addictive, and the rest of western culture seems to like turning a blind eye to those facts.

Lav, wow the universe was really sending a message! I'm glad I have the chance to wish you both well for tomorrow (do I have my days right?) I know even the drive there will not be particularly pleasant, good luck!!! Glad to hear about your embroidery going well. Re: cars, my 118,xxx mile VWWagon has just been cleared for our coast-to-coast drive, whew. Say hi to the chickens for me...

Pauly, whassup? Miss hearing from you...

Det, well aren't you just enjoying life to the max? Great to hear, congrats!

PPQ, sorry about the snow and the computer problems! I hope you get a good Spring Break coming your way soon. How did the stroganoff turn out?

Sam, sounds like thing are hopping for you, great. We have an abundance of ticks here this year... 2 years ago we had a bumper crop of acorns, which means more mice, which means more ticks, so we have been bracing ourselves for this. I use a home-made cedar oil spray on myself and my clothes when I work outside, and shower and put my clothes in the dryer immediately when I come inside... so far it has worked for these last few years... anything but Lyme disease...

I may not be able to post everyday for awhile; we move in a little over 3 weeks, and depending on the house sale, we may have to disburse things, or not... we have a business trip abroad for 8 days just days after we move in... not sure where the dog will end up for those days.... then I will get in the car with my beloved across-the-street neighbor and my dog and start driving to the west coast... so lots to figure out and accomplish. I will drop in as I can - cheers to all -

Hello to SK, Pi, Nar and all others visiting today...

      Happy Hump Day -

hiya Det ....hows you then matey?sounding good ...glad the dinner date went well ..in fact both of them..a Bee Em or a Nissan? my money is on the Nissan...plus Beemers dont have indicators...You also have the added expense of having to go on a course to learn how to be a d.ck on the road ..and hack people off by thinking you own it..so you have found an Italian eatery ..I love Italian food ...andIndian Chinese English Amercan ,Vietnamese. ...etc!!

hiya Lav, well I hope it all goes well for today with you..the story of the cupboard made me grin....I had the same happen to me..many years ago I pulled a cupbard on top of me ..At the time I had dogs ,I sparked myself out and woke up with the dog licking my face.So the I/P has gone Italian too? take care today.

hiya Ppqp..how are you today?hope you are well....Yep internet fixed ,and new kettle bought ...life is good again...Im out again on Friday ..we are doing a longer one this time ...Im going out on an average of twice a week .Ive just started cleaning the guttering ,and its pouring down now...

      MAE ALL...

Lav...glad you were able to avoid catching that bug going around. LOL Wow...I'm glad YB is ok. You must have freaked when you saw the HELP text! Ended up having left over tuna casserole, boring. I'm getting an IP this weekend and stocking up on things to throw into it. Like I could have done your Italian sausage meal but when I looked at the BBQ Rib recipe you posted I thought that's a lot of work. I've you've got any more quick IP recipes I'm interested.

Det...you want to be practical. We all know what you're like when you act out. LOL Four our lunch date sounds like a winner. You probably felt like you've known each other for years. I'm glad you're able to stay friends with Dx and her family. Just because a relationship ends doesn't mean a friendship has to. In my case it did!

TG...the snow I can't do anything about but the computer I can shoot. LOL Uninstalling the latest update worked. Stroganoff could have been better but it was a meal. You remind me of Mick - the energizer bunny, you just don't quit. You've got quite a lot going on for the next month. Is the trip to the west coast for your neighbour? Keep us updated when you can.

Mick...nice score on the brownie points! Hope things go ok for your brother. You be careful up on that ladder, need to be in top shape for your Friday trek. Didn't realize you had started your jokes and I thought did I miss something? Haahaa

Today just flew by, thought it was 8:30am and it was 9:30am then 10:30 and it was 11:30 so needless to say I didn't each lunch till 2pm. So it's a light supper for me, tomato soup and grilled cheese. Hope we all have a restful evening....PPQP

      Re: may 5

      Greetings Abbers,

Well, everything is all set for tomorrow. Son arrives at 6 am to drive YB the 45 or so miles to the hospital. I'll be leaving here later in the morning, stopping at my daughter's house to drop off some stuff, meet the new kitten & then take her to lunch while waiting for a call to go pick up YB. The hospital is just a few miles from her house. I hope he's not too goofy when I'm driving him home (there's a bit of history with that) Lol

Det, I'm happy you had such a great day, sounds wonderful.
Don't forget it's more expensive to insure the BMW & a pain in the rear to find someone to fix them when they get broken. My neighbor had one & found out the field mice around here like to eat the nice leather interiors, haha!!

Cyn, good to see you & yes you have your days right
YB was originally scheduled for today but it was moved to Thursday.
You certainly have your plate full & I wish you the very best on everything Will be thinking of you, check in when you can, OK?

PQ, once you get the hang of the IP you'll be a happy camper. Some recipes are 'dump recipes' where you just toss in everything & put the lid on. I like to brown meats using the 'saute' function, the same with onions, garlic & peppers. After the browning up throw everything else in & put the lid on. I Google Instant Pot recipes all the time. You'll get the hang of it
Nice to have a swift day at work, that's awesome!

Pauly, are yo mad at us?

Sam, Pie, SK hello to all of you.

Have a nice night everyone, see you tomorrow evening.

      good evening all
kinda burned out about software, literally, hours in a classroom with no air, hot as blazes in there! learning some neat stuff though. We are right on the Ohio River and in it a neat little town called Maysville (Kentucky). getting ready for the old hay, but wanted to see how everyone is doing. Be well
