    whew! heya ABerooooos!

jeepers, more than busy and a darn bit of 'super stressed-oooooot' over here. oh well. calming down a bit.

so... door handles, museums, sick kids, norty recipes, nutrition... quite a mixed bag in ab-land I see.

Well I'm hell-bent on becoming a proper video content creator even if my brain explodes, which is well may. A freaking yoooge learning curve on this
stuff but I think my final draft for my first commercial video is done. whew! have to wait til morning to see if it's approved. ack!
issues with girly have been super bad as of last week but calming down again. That is one twisted kid and I wish I know how to fix her. Managed to encourage
her mum to get some counselling/support which will begin soon so I'm glad for that. I'll be getting in to Refuge for meditation in the morning which I'm certainly due for.

Pauly, blood test to make sure... best i got from here. Someday we'll have nifty attachments for our phones and can monitor all manner of things from home which will be super cool.

My poor brain is fried. Time to find something mindless... hopefully will be back very soon and much more perky.

    be well loves!

Mae everybody, Det that is hard to step into a teens life, any kid for that manner I was a complete ass to my dad for years! After I got married and realized how hard the real world was I really started to appreciate him Cyn, that's awesome on the book PQ, I'm wondering if my low iron is caused by the turmeric supplements I've been taking, I read that it binds to iron, something I need to work out, I eat like you do and usually it makes me happy and I don't have any issues at all, I also think this is a "change of life" issue for women that they go thru after joining a couple of FB groups and seeing alot of women going thru the same crap, had the boys last night and Louie was sleeping and throwing up! Hubs told his dad to get his ass home cuz the poor kid is sick! He's all trying to blame us for giving him something bad to eat, yea right he fell asleep on the couch as soon as they dropped him off, anyhoo much love to all and wishes for a great BF Tuesday!

hi all...how are we then? good I hope...well this morning we had nothing but snow ...I tried to get out in the car...no chance.I look now ...no snow but horizontal rain now.so need to go and get some kale for the rabbitz...apart from that not a lot happening here ....pretty cold ...the rabbits have got 2 hot water bottles underfloor.Bought another engine last night ..its called Evening Star ...I saw the real one yesterday at York. And yes ,Amy now has 2 kittens !!going up there on Friday.need to nip to the shops in a minute...

I gave a homeless guy a tin of beans outside Sainsbury's today,

"What the fck am I supposed to do with these?" He asked.

    "Egg and chips." I replied.

I've got a habit of quoting Elton John lyrics.

I hope you don't mind. I hope you don't mind.

"A Derbyshire police officer has been found guilty of gross misconduct, having touched, kissed and hugged several female colleagues, both on and off duty."

They should consider themselves lucky. I spoke to three women he'd arrested: one said he'd beaten her up in a squad card, another said he'd framed her for bank fraud, and the third said he'd thrown her down the stairs.

My monks clothing was a bit faded so I decided to try and get it back to the original colour.

I wasn't happy with the results, it was all rough and stiff.

I guess it's true what they say...

    "Old habits dye hard."

    The Best Bible Salesman

A guy with a severe stutter applied for a job selling Bibles. The interviewer believed he'd never make it as a salesman, and was
about to tell the guy to look elsewhere for work.

    The stutterer begged for the job, "P-p-p-p-p-le-ease g-gg-g-ive m-m-m-mee a ch-ch-cha-a-ance. I-i-ic-c-can d-d-d-o i-i-tt."

"Well," the manager said, "OK," he'd give him a few Bibles and the rest of the day to see if he could sell one or two. By lunchtime, the stutterer was back, having sold all the Bibles. The manager was impressed and asked if he could accompany the stutterer after lunch.

"S-s-sure," said the guy, and later they went out to the streets.

They approached a house, and the stutterer went up and knocked on the door. When the homeowner answered, he said, "G-g-g-g-good
    a-a-a-ftern-n-n-noon, M-m-ma'am. I-i-i'm s-s-s-selling B-b-b-bibles. W-w-w-w-would y-y-y-you l-l-l-l-l-like to b-b-b-buy a B-b-b-b-bbible, or sh-sh-sh-ould I j-j-j-j-ust r-r-read it t-t-t-to you?"

The Easterner had always dreamed of owning his own cattle ranch, and finally made enough money to buy himself the spread of his dreams in Wyoming.

"So, what did you name the ranch"? asked his best friend when he flew out to visit.

"We had a heck of a time", admitted the new cowboy. "Couldn't agree on anything. We finally settled on the Double R Lazy L Triple Horseshoe Bar-7 Lucky Diamond Ranch".

"Wow!" his friend was impressed. "So, where are all your cows"?

"None of 'em survived the branding".

A man was working with an electric saw when he accidentally sawed off all ten fingers. He quickly rushed to the emergency room. The doctor
there told him, "Give me the fingers and I'll see what I can do."

"But I don't have the fingers!"

"What! You don't have the fingers!?" said the doctor, "You should have brought them to me. We have all kinds of operations we could have done
like microsurgery and stuff. We could have put them back as good as new."

"But Doc, I couldn't pick them up."

    Mae all -

Lav, obviously ignore my FB question!! It was SO strange, I tried and tried to get on this site with phone, pad, and computer - no go. A message saying it was... I don't know illegal, out of certificate, can't remember now. I was upset! So of course after PM-ing you, I come back and here you all are! Yay!

Det, you sound super-stressed... good luck, and glad to hear you are going to your class. Wish I had that here... sometimes I wish I could find a good way to reach out to like-minded people here... no go so far.

Lav, so sorry for the boys' animosity... I know of boys who were that way in childhood, and then they just ignored each other, and then became civil as adults. Hope that happens, good luck!

Pauly, yep, food really is super-important. But as Lav says, it's not totally 'what you eat' but also 'what you absorb', so supps can really help. Best of luck!

Mick, I have friends from York, and they always are talking about the beauty of the Minster. I hope to see it some day. Glad to hear about the kittens... new life is good when we've had a loss. How is the arm, by the way, after all this activity?!

PPQ - here's hoping that the non-dynamic duo stay away from the office!! You sound happy when they're not there. Wishing you some cards later in the week.

Sam, and PapMom, wishing you well.

Thank you all for this community. Not being able to get on this morning showed me how much I value this companionship. Cheers all for a good day...

    MAE ALL...

Det...was the inaugural commercial video approved? Hope so. You sure have had many learning curves in the last few months. It's hard enough keeping up with you let alone doing the work. Sorry you're going through a rough patch with girly issues hope things calm down soon. Good job on encouraging mum to get counselling, she's got to look after herself in order to deal with everything else. Did you make it to Refuge this morning. Hope so, sounds like that's exactly what you needed.

Pauly...I never knew tumeric would bind to iron. Good to know. You think you're doing something good and healthy for yourself and end up causing other issues. Everything's a "change of life" issue for me, even if it happened 20 years ago. LOL Son can't get away with blaming you guys for Louie, especially if he immediately fell asleep. There was something going on way before you got him.

Mick...and that was quite a bit of snow you got! Now rain! Yuck. Hope you made the kale run safe and sound. Another engine? You're going to have to stay away from that museum. LOL

TG...sometimes your browser hasn't updated with the current website certificate and you'll get an error. It usually doesn't take long to catch up, hence you being able to get on later. One non-dynamic duo was in but I managed to just ignore her. I'm super busy and she knows it so just leaves me alone. I should act busy more often. LOL The other non-dynamic duo was in at 9am and then I think I saw him again around 4pm. LOL It's so good to have you as part of this community.

Lav...I'm sure you're posting as I type. Hope you had a good day.

Waves to Sam and PM3. Pi...if you're kicking around check in. Missed you on your international day. LOL

Linguine and Alfredo Sauce with garlic shrimp for supper and I didn't even have to cook it! LOL Have a peaceful evening all.....PPQP

    Re: Jan26

Well here I am - finally haha!
After telling Cyn everything looked OK with the site from here I couldn't post myself - got a 'server not working' message. Geez!!!

Det, young teen girls are at the mercy of their hormones making EVERYTHING look like the worst thing ever. I remember mine, I remember my daughter's & it won't be long before my granddaughter gets there, oh lord. As long as she is physically healthy a little counselling will be helpful I'm sure. I hope your commercial is approved & you become the star we all know you already are

Pauly, do some reading on 'Leaky Gut'. Dr Amy Myers has a ton of info on her website. She specializes in functional medicine & believes leaky gut is responsible for most of our symptoms in epidemic proportions!! She had to diagnose her own thyroid problems because her doc overlooked it & she knew something was wrong.
Sorry Louie is sick - classroom germs are horrendous. Hope he feels better soon!

Cyn, glad we finally got here, haha!!
I think my grandsons are very different people. The oldest is very smart & things come easily to him. The younger guy has had his difficulties socially & doesn't react to people in a 'normal' way. He's shown a lot of improvement the past few months & wants to be friends with his brother but it's just not happening yet. They'll get there I'm sure.

PQ, always good to have some quiet time at work. That's not something I ever had though, Lol.
I hope your snow holds off until the weekend when you can ignore it easier.

Mick, I think you're having more winter weather than we are here.
You have been super busy but you have gotten a lot done the past few days, nice.

Today I roasted turkey legs for YB, cooked a turkey breast in the IP for me, roasted sweet potatoes & baked 3 loaves of oatnut bread.
I'm thinking we have enough to eat for the rest of the week, yay!!!

Hello to Sam & Papmom if you're looking in tonight.

    Have a good night all!

    Re: Jan26

    Mae all -

PPQ, thanks for the heads-up on the certificate issue... I remember those before computers were quite so automated as they are now... I really need to have my laptop go into the shop to make everything work well again... lots of things are "limping" along, but I have lots of software and stuff ready to be loaded and used... aargh!

Lav, yes, that was strange, first me and then you, oh well! Your dinner sounded great - I tried to make a turkey breast the other night, and hubs asked if I had "boiled" it ( he is a big fan of roasted meats, but there was no time for that.) Even though I am usually pretty easy-going, I almost threw the turkey breast in his lap. But really, I browned it, so... is there a better way to get that "roasted" vibe from the IP? Good luck to the grandsons...

Pauly, I second Lav's recommendation of Amy Myers - that is a terrific website, SO much great info, and she does a lot of interviews with great healers. Check it out! I hope the kids are both feeling OK... and you too!

Det the filmmaker, how is it going? Really hoping things smooth out for you - maybe you have to try to take the 30-thousand-foot-view with girlie... hard to do, but maybe a kind of meditation!? Lol...

Sam, hope the mud is staying away... any music on the horizon?

Mick, I also think that you are having more winter there than here... I was just looking at photos of our house in New England, and there are so many great snow pics... down here by the city, it seems like endless blustery March, though today the sky was blue, so I shouldn't complain!

Question - does anyone else have a difficult slump around 3-5? I haven't thought about it for a long time, but I feel like it is getting in my way a bit... maybe because I am not eating as early as I wish - I think I'll go back to eating at 4:30/5:00 - I used to do that when I lived upstate and just had the dogs to feed... we all ate at the same time ). Anyway, the last few days that "blue" time has kind of snuck up on me...

But thankfully I can make a cup of tea, sit down and reach out to you all.

    Cheers!

    Re: Jan26

    Good evening friends,

The weather forecast for the first week of February is 50’s & 60’s. When do we get winter????

Cyn, I don’t care much for winter time afternoons primarily due to the lack of natural light. IF I am busy in my workshop with a ton of lights on I am OK. I guess the secret is planning to be busy doing something during those two hours - the distraction technique
I’m not so picky about food so whatever comes out of the IP is fine with me. I fill the turkey breast cavity with chunks of onion, celery & garlic & lots of seasoning. I’m happy that it comes out moist, never dried out. I cook it for 6 minutes/lb. Tell him he has to wait for Thanksgiving for roasted turkey, Lol

Hello to Mick, Pauly, Det, PQ, Sam & anyone else making an appearance.

    Have a lovely night all!

    MAE ALL...

TG... I think I would have thrown it. LOL It's nice to have these computers but you sure have to keep them up. Seems there's an update everyday unless your operating system is lynux. I thought you said a difficult stump around 3-5' then I kept reading. Somebody turned the sun off around 3:30 this afternoon and my mood instantly changed. Of course I work till 5pm so just kept distracted.

Lav...woah...you're not actually looking for winter are you? LOL Our mild sunny weather is turning to north winds, clouds ad snow. It's going to be hard getting used to it again after having spring in January. Did you ever get your new designs?

Shout out to the rest of you wherever you are.

It's ribs and rice for dinner tonight. The ribs are precooked so I just have to heat them up. Easy peazy. Have a good night all....PPQP
