    Re: 2nd Feb

Mae everybody, Mick hope you can find something for Jeeves's little belly, PQ, tires are expensive! I hafta pay even more cuz they're a specific size for the Durango, I don't want it to look goofy with the standard tires so the ones we get are a bit bigger somehow, Det, this weather is crazy! My coworker said I looked fat yesterday cuz I had on 2 sweaters and a jacket while working, shops old and drafty and that wind! Lav, he is an idiot but I'm afraid all this impeachment nonsense is gonna buy him another 4 years, that Superbowl sucked, everyone talking about "female empowerment" cuz of the half time show when jlo had a stripper pole and grabbed her crotch 40 times during it, not very empowering to me much love to the gang and wishes for a great BF Tuesday!
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

And good afternoon all how are we today then question mark hope all is well well in the other side of the world and obviously in upside down land. It's pretty dry over here but it was really windy last night and more girls are expected later today water rabbits out on the back garden munching happily with the grass whatever affected Jeeves doesn't seem to be bothering him anymore, so without further ado we shall have a brew... you note the poetry

Good afternoon pauly and how are you today hope all is well with you. not convinced I can get anything for Jeeves stomach, so what I did get was an extra dose of medication for the next time it happens as well. So your coworker accuse you of being fat? That's an easy answer that one I will take my coat off if you take your mask off haha take care have a great day

And good afternoon to you det How are you today? Welcome to my school of self-inflicted injuries whilst working . as for the Super Bowl considering it gets so much hype I didn't really think it was up to much ... almost as good as Scotland's rugby efforts you did better playing with a barbecue

Hiya lav and how are you today then question mark hope all is well... by the way what have you got against rocks haha I actually thought about getting a probiotic from the shops to give to Jeeves, but but the composition for human and animal is completely different. Likewise I've not been sleeping much either I guess it's the season. Did a bit more on the railway, I'm definitely getting rid of that blue engine I've got another one in mind when I saw it at York museum called The Mallard a beautiful steam locomotive which broke the speed record from London to Edinburgh I've also been making the banking on the side of the canal al-anon on the railway side. Take care have a great day

Hello ppqp how are you today then question mark hope all is well with you you will stop yes Jeeves is definitely doing a lot better ,but he is very loathe
to come towards me he thinks he's going to get through syringes worth of medicine glad there's a bit of a change with the boss, you never know he might even end up joining your card school forget the coordinator oh yes I certainly know the drama with tyres, I've just changed all four of mine I had more hair than they had tread take care have a great day

Hello tree girl and how are you today? Hope all is well with you

Yeah, right, have you ever tried to close the doors on anything from Ikea?

Millions of years ago, there was no such thing as the wheel.

One day, some primitive guys were watching their wives drag a dead mastodon to the food & fire area. It was exhausting work; the guys were getting tired just watching.

Then they noticed some large, smooth, rounded boulders and they had a great idea! They could sit on top of the boulders and get a better view of their wives working.

This was the first in a series of breakthroughs that ultimately led to television... and later to the remote control.

Lola had been a senior at the Dallas University for Mutant Blondes (D.U.M.B.) for 12 long years without graduating.

Finally, the Dean called her in and explained that she was setting some kind of record for having been a senior the longest without graduating. He explained that he was afraid that she might be giving DUMB a bad name. "So I have a plan.", he said. "I will ask you one question. If you get it right, you can graduate. If you are wrong, you will have to leave." But he continued, "We want to give you as much support as possible. So we will ask you the question at mid-field of the football stadium. We will invite the entire DUMB student body to attend and give you support. Lola said that she felt that was a fair deal.

On the set day at the appointed time all the blondes at DUMB filed into the stadium and took a seat. Then Lola and the Dean entered and went to mid-field. The Dean repeated the rules and asked Lola if she understood and agreed.

    Lola nodded her acceptance.

The question is, said the Dean,. How much are 2+2?

Lola's face tightened and she started repeating the question to herself. Then she started biting her lower lip.

The Dean told her to take her time because so much was riding on her answer.

Lola then started kicking the dirt at her feet all the while repeating the question. Finally her face lit up and she shouted, "2+2=4!!!

The entire student body stood up and screamed in unison, "GIVE HER ANOTHER CHANCE, GIVE HER ANOTHER CHANCE!!!

Two bored casino dealers were waiting at a craps table.

A very attractive blonde woman arrived and bet twenty thousand dollars on a single roll of the dice. She said, "I hope you don't mind, but I feel much luckier when I'm completely nude." With that she stripped from her neck down, rolled the dice and yelled, "Mama needs new clothes!"

Then she hollered..."YES! YES! I WON! I WON!" She jumped up and down and hugged each of the dealers. She then picked up all the money and clothes and quickly departed.

The dealers just stared at each other dumbfounded. Finally, one of them asked, "What did she roll?"

The other answered, "I don't know, I thought YOU were watching!"

Moral: Not all blondes are dumb, but all men are men.

Just as a surgeon was finishing up an operation the patient wakes up, sits up and demands to know what is going on.

"I'm about to close," the surgeon says.

The patient grabs his hand and says, "Oh, no you're not! I'll close my own incision."

The doctor hands him the needle and says, "Suture self."

This is classic - a story, proving how fascinating the mind of a six year old is. They think so logically.

A teacher was reading the story of the Three Little Pigs to her class. She came to the part of the story where the first pig was trying to gather the building materials for his home.

She read, "And so the pig went up to the man with the wheelbarrow full of straw and said: 'Pardon me sir, but may I have some of that straw to build my house?"

The teacher paused then asked the class: "And what do you think the man said?"

One little boy raised his hand and said very matter-of-factly "I think the man would have said: "Well, fck me! A talking pig!"

The teacher was unable to teach for the next 10 minutes.

If you're being chased by a police dog, try not to go through a tunnel, then on to a little seesaw, then jump through a hoop of fire. They're trained for that.

You have to remember all the trivia that your girlfriend tells you, because eventually you get tested. She'll go: "What's my favourite flower?" And you murmur to yourself: "Sh*t, I wasn't listening......Self-raising?"

    Re: 2nd Feb

    Good evening all,

Rain for the first half of the day then the sun arrived. Make a quick dash out to buy fabric to make some doll clothes for my granddaughter. Her birthday is on the 26th, I think she’ll like what I’m making for her American Girl doll.

PQ, 5” can look like a whole lot when it’s blown around & drifted. We haven’t had a single storm like that yet this winter, so strange. Somone back where we used to live is claiming her forsythia bush is blooming. It was 64 degrees this afternoon. I have a feeling this summer is going to be complete hell.
YB just mentioned he needs to buy new tires for his truck & they’re extra expensive.

Pauly, don’t listen to other people’s crap
I still remember when my mom passed away one of my old friends told another that I looked fat at the funeral mass. Mind you, I was wearing a size 6 suit at the time - such BS. I had stressed off so much weight while my mom was sick I had to go buy something to wear & everything else was too big. I don’t listen to anyone’s crap anymore!

Hello to Cyn, Det & Sam. Hope everyone is OK.

Mick, I hope Jeeves restricts his eating in the future to keep his belly happy
I hope you get the engine you want. Life is short so we may as well make ourselves happy!!!

    Have a nice night everyone!

    Re: 2nd Feb

MAE ALL...man it's cold out there. 2F! Chinook supposed to arrive overnight so we will see.

Pauly...I like Mick's response to your coworkers comment. Even if I did think someone was fat I'd never say so. You know how there's good times to buy certain items, wonder if that's true for tires. If I find out I'll let you know.

Mick...I find the wind one of the harder things to deal with. It just seems to wear me out quickly. What's wrong with the blue engine? Are you just making excuses for the new one? LOL Jeeves will forgive you just give him time. Hope your sleep improves.

Lav...at least your weather got it right, rain and then sun. We're do for a repeat this weekend. Geeze! I think I have to agree with your summer forecast. Hope I didn't start anything mentioning my tires.

Hope everyone else is all good. Have a good night all....PPQP

    Mae all -

Mick, I love reading your voice-dictated messages... almost like receiving a telegram! (Anyone remember telegrams?) Can't wait to see your new fancy engine, the original sounds quite spiffy.

Pauly, I agree with you about the half-time show. The little girls singing (briefly) was the best part!

Lav, I am in despair over the Iowa debacle... wtf? Just when Dems could have used a shot in the arm... oh well. Your sewing plan for the doll sounds great - pics please!

PPQ, your snow must also be headed to Montana... I heard from friends that they are expecting 3 feet of snow to fall on the mountain this weekend!

Det, congrats on the new computer, sounds great. I too have that weird not-sleeping, groggy all day thing... I wonder what's going on?...

Hello to Sam and all else... I've worked late tonight, hubs is at work late, so it's time to put it all to bed!

Wishing all a good Hump Day tomorrow!

    Re: 2nd Feb

Mae everybody, Cyn, I'm honestly starting to think that it's all rigged with the election! Who knows what happened in Iowa, could be hacked computers for all we know, some shady shit going on for sure! My point about the fat comment was that it was so cold(for me) that I was super bundled up and that's why my coworker made the comment, I'm over winter=bring on 115 and I'll be singing Pharrell's "Happy" song EVERYDAY! Haha, Mick hows Jeeves? Lav, I bought some Geritol cuz I read it's good, not the liquid cuz it contains alcohol, PQ, how'd the tire shopping go? Much love to all and wishes for a great BF Wednesday!
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

    Re: 2nd Feb

And good afternoon everyone how are we today then? hope everyone is well..here we go then start of the telegram style post full stop it actually takes as long to do it this way as it would to write, because I have to check it afterwards . Been a busy morning so far , most of the hall stairs and landing woodwork has actually been taken back to wood and stained and now madam wanted the top of the stairs doing as well. I've tried to put it off as long as possible, but captured at last. Now all the paint has been stripped off, it has been sanded down smoothed out and just awaits staining. I will put a couple of pictures up up the bit on the stairs just ignore it's part of the pipework used to join the Hoover and sander together. I've also done some work on the railways this morning, you will see on the right hand side I've nearly finished the canal , all that really needs to go in is the water, artificial I hasten to add! If you look at the rest part of the layout as well, where a farm used to be on the top it is now a gasometer and ancillary buildings just a temporary thing ok then on with the show

Hiya pauly how are you this afternoon then? hope all is well looking at your politics and the way they are done, very similar to the Mickey Mouse show we have over here as well full stop Jeeves seems to be doing ok now now put it this way his appetite has returned big time. Hope you have a nice day

Hello TG, here is your telegram. Yes I remember them comma little brown fold-up envelopes with little ticker tape messages type inside. And how are you today? Hope all is well in your world yes the new engine is a real cracker, I've seen variations of it painted in Silver green and blue full stop its current colour is blue in York Museum, and also when it broke the London to Edinburgh record it was blue and that's the one I want. Hope you have a great day end of message stop haha

    Hiya ppqp
And how are you today then question mark hope all is well have you bought the round rubber things that go on your wheels, or are you too tired (these are the jokes folks) another chinook on the way for you? you certainly get a lot of helicopters your way the current blue engine I have got (the Canadian Pacific) the valve gearing on the wheels has twisted in and bent it makes all the sound starting up and steaming blah blah but doesn't move. I don't think it's a major issue for someone actually knows about electronics etc not me I know more about the population on Mars zilch take care and have a great day

    Hiya lav
And how are you today then? Did you finish the dogs clothes for your granddaughter I can believe that the forsythia is out, despite the cold weather over here my camellia Bush is budding rapidly comma in fact a few of them have started forming flowers yes you are right, life is too short so enjoy it it whilst we can come on I can't see juice restricting any part of eating food. Hope you have a great day

Big hello to everyone else that's it take care

    Re: 2nd Feb

Hidy Ho ABsters near and far!

well, slightly more awake here but not a ton. Looks like troubled sleep all around..hmmm? not for cats though. they truly own the sleeping thing.
Mick, OMG I was wondering if you got a drone for one of the pics and realized it was a very realistic model scene. ha!

Pauly, dunno about 115 for me. eeeek! but it's been a bit bonkers for Vegas that's for sure.

Ditto what Lav says about not taking crap from dimwits and insecure people. not in the budget peeps!

i had 2 freaking clients cancel today .... agh! trying not to get all bummed-out here. Do have another on the books but still
    super frustrating. ommmm ommmmm.

I've signed-up for 'upwork' which is a program designed to find work for freelancers...we'll see how goes.

One way or another I've got to get some money together so I can move to Europe. yep... that's my plan for realzies. Since I was a lad I knew
i wanted to move there and felt out of place here. Darlene is onboard too which is so nice. Won't be happening right away of course... must save
up for a visit first and see about getting hired there so we can get work visas. Strong attraction to Italy, in particular Molise has some big incentives
for folks to move there. Eastern Europe is also attractive and lowish cost. I'm becoming infatuated with Euro cooking and travel shows. ack! at least
it's a pretty healthy fascination. Next to start on language studies just for fun....

shouts also to Treegirl and PPQ, our winter warrior. Sam, you poking around?
    Guitarista popped in lately?

found some gluten-free pasta from Italy that's pretty darned good. Tonight is time for comfort food so it's pasta marinara
    with crazy salad.

    be well loves!

    Re: 2nd Feb

    Good evening Abbers,

PQ, we’re getting weather advisories for heavy, possibly flooding rains, oh joy. Of course what that really means is tons of mud around here, haha!
You know, i was just thinking my son goes thru tires pretty quickly because of all the commuting he does. He’s been buying them at Costco. You can definitely get a good deal there. Stay warm lady!!

Cyn, I’m wondering what is wrong with the DNC & computers! They always seem to have computer issues
Today’s acquittal of 45 was nothing but a total disgrace. Collins & Murkowski are apparently very stupid women. They need to be replaced!

Pauly, Geritol has been around longer than me I think, didn’t even know they still made it, haha! If it works for you then great

Hey Mick, you obviously have been a busy guy, good for you!
Pics are great too. The doll clothing sewing will be taking a while, just getting started.

Det, a move to Europe - wow!
I’ve wanted to do something like that forever but it’s not in the cards. Funny how every time I’ve gone I felt like I was at home. Hmmm.
I hope some jobs turn up for you to keep you busy & well paid.

Well, speaking of sewing, I’ll get back to it now.
    Have a nice night everyone!
