It is overcast here today, but very very hot methinks storm is on the way cut the grass this morning always look better when it's cut not a lot been happening always stop it happening now about wearing face masks in shops the government will last at beginning of this outbreak whether we should wear them or not, the reply was no they're a waste of time and yet strangely enough on the 24th of this month it is mandatory to wear them in shops and guess what if you don't the onus is not on a shopkeeper but the police with a fine of 100 I don't know where all these imaginary policemen are going to come from I just have enough to do without this crap Ipswich Simply Be No mask no shop end of story and why the 24th of this month? Do we have to give the virus notice?

Got to nip down to Julie's Dad's house so apologies for this being a short post see if I can get the grass cut before the rain starts take care everybody pie you don't need drink you know that you've been there before as you say one isn't enough 6 isn't enough

    Greetings Abbers,

My younger grandson asked if he could come over so I went & got him. He spent about 7 hours straight eating & playing games online - nice life haha!
He also vacuumed my entire house for $5 to spend in one of his games, go figure!! That was his idea, not mine!

Hello Pauly Mick & everyone. Glad to see you both!
Glad everyone is healthy & staying safe

Hello PQ, Det, Pie & Cyn!

    Have a nice night everyone.

    MAE ALL...

Pauly...I think your cake in a cup beats a wagon wheel hands down. Gotta love FB eh? Sounds like Miss Dottie is doing better, good to hear. I like the little patio BBQ sounds perfect. Quite often I have 2 little hot dogs on this huge grill. Waste of propane. Hope you had a good day.

Mick...overcast and hot, I can just feel it. Did the storm materialize? I love the look and smell of a freshly mowed lawn. Gives you that accomplished feeling. And of course being you you're going to do it twice. LOL I guess it's going to take them till the 24th to round up all those police officers.

Lav...I'll gladly pay your grandson $5 to vacuum my place. One of my least favorite chores. The weather sure does play a role in your gardening season. Ours is so short that any bad weather pretty much wipes it out. I've learned to stick to root veggies, they're hardier.

Shout out to Det, Sam, Pi and TG. Hope you all are doing ok.

We're all still healthy here but I don't like the fact that cases are going up. I guess it was to be expected as we open up things. I am more cautious these days and stay pretty much at home. Our PM announced the extension of a wage subsidy program till the end of December so that secures my job till at least then. Have a good night all....PPQP

Some nights I lie in bed and wonder to myself

Did they ever find the person who let the dogs out?

Burglars broke into my house last night and said they were searching for money.

So I laughed like fck and searched with them.

"Dad, where did you get this meat from?" Asked my young son.

    "A bloke I know." I replied.

"Are you sure it's chicken?" He said.

"Of course I am," I snapped, "just eat it and stop moaning."

"Ok" he sighed, "but I'm struggling, can you help me cut this hoof please."

My Turkish kebab shop got closed down when Environmental Health found a mouse.

Apparently I'd claimed it as "rat" on my ingredients list.

A mother asked her small son what he would like for his birthday. "I'd like a little brother", the boy said.

"Oh my, that's such a big wish", said the mother. "Why do you want a little brother"?

"Well", said the boy, "there's only so much I can blame on the dog".

    Ahoy hoy ABerooooskies!

we snuck out for two nights at the Mandalay Bay which has a super cool bunch of water activities which was big fun.
and no sunburn! food at the touristy spots is absurdly expensive but that's how it goes.

Got an appointment to renew passports this coming Sat. will be very nice to have that done as I feel rather 'stuck' with an expired one.
I'm also looking into getting my Aussie passport renewed which opens even more options for global adventure.

Pauly, girly spends more time on the phone than anyone I've ever seen or even heard about...it's a bit disturbing. At least you have a life

The schools here are super messed-up. How the US spends such an astronomical amount on this dysfunctional school system is truly beyond me.
we are now wondering if the blasted school is ever going to reopen again and meanwhile youth are battling depression and extreme lack of any social
experience which is going quite poorly. If they had an effective online system here that wasn't a complete mess it would be a tad better...agh!

short week for me but thankfully some shoots on the books.

Lav, way to go on a vacuuming buddy

our poor tomatoes are pretty fried but still producing in the heat best they can.

shouts to Mick, PPQ, Pauly, Lav, Pie, Sam, Tree.... anyone else?

also...dinner ideas? I do enjoy grilling but in this heat it's not as much fun.

ok, packing my gear and off to my shoots.

    be well loves!

    Re: Abbers July 12-18 2020

    Greetings Abbers,

No 9 yr old vacuuming kids here today, oh well haha!
I was pretty happy with things until I went to the garage this morning & found he had left the refrigerator door standing open all night. We have that extra fridge to stock up on stuff because the stores are so far away & not exactly convenient. He helped himself to a cold drink & likely slammed the door & ran away without looking over his shoulder to see if the door was closed or if it had bounced open. Kids!!

PQ, breezy & 77 here at the moment. I don’t know what’s going on!!!! Heading down to 68 tonight, OMG, haha!
Glad you’re staying healthy & the government has your back. We haven’t seen a dime yet from our government, naturally.

Mick, there’s not much in the greenhouse right now except for some houseplants. YB is growing everything outside in raised beds & has tomato plants in pots on the porch where the groundhogs can’t find them. Just so you know the kid begged to do the vacuuming for $5 & I agreed, Lol

Det, not sure how you can get anything to grow in that heat, geez. Fried tomatoes are actually pretty good.
I renew my passport online when it’s not expired. The last time it was expired but did the renewal by mail, pretty easy. Better than sitting in government offices anyway.
Glad you had a good time & got some. Pictures too

Pauly, put the kids to work for a few bucks, makes them feel like big shots, haha!

    Hello to Pie, Sam& Cyn.

    Wishing everyone a nice night!

    Re: Abbers July 12-18 2020

Mick, I too feel bad for shopkeepers expected to enforce mask wearing. Don’t really want police spending time on masks either. Your comment about imaginary police made me giggle.

Det and Lav, fried tomatoes straight off the vine sounds about right. Intense heat here and no rain has me working to keep trees, shrubs, and grass watered.

PQ, I’m nearing the end of Grisham book. Any suggestions for what to read next?

Pauly, wish we could trade our POTUS for Canada’s hottie PM.

Annual vet appointment for my doggy girl today. Curbside service. Tech comes out to retrieve pup, and gives me a (sanitized) tablet for communication with doctor. Will see how it goes.

I’m entertaining drinking thoughts more than is wise. I know to shut these down immediately, but don’t always comply. Need to work on this.

Mae everybody, Det glad you git another little getaway yea the school system is a mess here! Pie, I was at a grocery store yesterday and this lady was throwing a tantrum about her mask! The clerk I had hesitated to call the police but then she started up again so he called them, luckily she left but it gave me anxiety! It was beyond a tantrum, it was a full blown scream match, these poor clerks omg I'd hate that job Lav, is anything salvageable in the fridge? Hate that, also hate when someone leaves mayonnaise or ranch on the counter overnight, PQ, gonna cook these turkey burgers I bought just for kicks tonight, wish me luck haha, right now I've got sugar free protein cookies in the oven, been meaning to make them but I do my deliveries in the afternoon so I haven't been home to make them, got a decent deal on Paleo flour on Amazon, Lavs king Arthur brand, much love to the gang and wishes for a great BF Thursday!
