MAE ALL...
Lav...yes I'm scheduled to see my doc in October (unless that's changed because of Covid) so will definitely let her know what's going on. I don't know if the monthly injections come in different dose amounts or not. Glad to hear you've got a cooling trend going on you deserve it. We're waiting for a bomb to drop here as well, man that has got to be tough on parents. So far we're expecting 108 kids showing up on Sep 1st and the cohort and procedure planning has been overwhelming. Needless to say the childcare director is ready to loose her mind because of the boss's inaction.
Pauly...no offense taken, I hope my response didn't come across that way. I agree, I can understand the BLM protests and I also see that it becomes an opportunity for other protesters/groups to latch onto a crowd for their own opportunities, but really people....we're in a pandemic!
Det...this is supposed to be our last day of the heat wave, I have my fingers crossed. Glad things are a bit calmer and sending positive vibes for the start of the online schooling tomorrow.
Mick...I'm jealous of your rain. Best laid plans eh?...hope you got the cover story ready before Julie got home. LOL We've all been listening to the Provincial strategies but a lot of our municipalities have been upgrading them to fit their needs. Overall I'm very happy with the way our city has implemented recommendations. So the google nest doorbell is a video feed to your device, in this case childcare tablets. Since we're not allowing parents into the building, they ring the doorbell and staff can see who is at the door and which child they have to check in or get ready and take them to the parent at the door. The less people we have coming into childcare the better.
Ended up having a fairly good day which surprised me as I had a terrible sleep last night. Think I got about 3 hours. Lots of rukus going on with the neighbours, the cops have been there 3 times in the last week and we (other neigbours) are on a mission to put an end to this. Hope we all have a restful evening....

hiya all how are we ? all good hopefully ...lovely sunny day ..we have had storm ellie or ellen or something..pretty windy overnight .Not done a lot today ...on the back of the scrap coach I did.Ive decided to make a bit of a train scrapyard too ..again something that can be put together and taken away and replaced .Still awaitng the outcome of the lockdown conference for this area ..I saw one report which state ..if you look down the pubs ,people will go underground to drink ..surely then that means that they are not social drinking but more of a necessity?I already know that ..jeez swith a torch on round this area and they think the sun has come out and its party time .
hiya Lav hows you then?yep I got a not guilty when Julie walked in!!!the conversation went kind of.."have you smelt that air freshener?its really strong ..and I sprayed that ages ago just after Id hoovered .." reply ..."yes its really strong that overpowering ...""da da ...job done and if you run the side of your foot against the carpet it leaves a line like a hoover ..glad the chicks are settling in .
hiya ppqp..you ok?thanks for he google doorbell explanation .unfortunately no rain here today ...however I do have a bottle of dried rain here..just download it and add water

Re: 16t of August..its getting closer...we wish you a......
Good evening Abbers,
Another nice day here, one more to go then we return to the land of excessive heat & humidity, yuck.
I heard today that a lot of farmers have given up & are plowing their crops into the ground. Our own watermelons, which were growing so nicely eventaully split wide open due to the 9 1/2 inches of rain we’ve had just this month. Farmers are dumping tomatoes & peppers too, sad what too much rain will do to healthy crops
PQ, hopefully you can get some adjustments made when you see your doc.
I have no idea how this upcoming school year is going to go but who knows? I imagine some kids will do fine, some will struggle & likely all the teachers will be wanting to pull their hair out before long. I can see my oldest grandson doing OK with the virtual classes but I can also see the two younger kids (both age 9) having difficulty because they both like doing things their way, hahah!!
Mick, I hope Julie doesn’t decide to do the ‘white glove’ test & find dust everywhere LOL
Every college campus that opens up around here is closed back down within a week or two because the kids won’t stop their damn partying!!! Pandemic parties, can you imagine???
Hello to Pauly, Det, Pie, Sam & Cyn & anyone stopping by later.
Have a nice night everyone!

MAE ALL...
Mick...thanks for the download but I think I'll pass. You've started a train scrapyard already? LOL Well it was overcast today, not clouds, we're getting the smoke from fires in BC. Thunderstorms forecast for tonight so maybe it'll clear everything out.
Lav...Sorry to hear about your watermelons. I didn't know they did that. Lot of negotiating going on between our school teachers and school board right now. Nobody's happy. All we can do is wait and see. Goes against my proactive grain. LOL
Frustrating day with the new software and I thought I had it all sorted out. Oh well, there's always tomorrow. Time to play a mindless computer game. LOL Have a good night all....

Ahoy ABeroooos!
oh my, tired for some reason but plugging along. looking forward to Refuge meditation tonight... hope I stay awake
Lav, what a bummer about the produce...egad.
Pauly, did you get any of that brief rain storm we had last night? that sure was a nice change (for 20m).
Sturgis motorcycle rally saw a quarter million bikers descend into a small area. They are well-known 'gun people' with a good portion of them
certainly packing heat and yet a grand total of zero shootings, or stabbings, or arson, or assaulting police, or damaging statues or public property or
assaulting people at random on the street. Nada.
hmmmm.
first 'test day' of online school is...well I'm not sure. it was just a check-in and Darlene is in an online meeting now for further developments on the program
so we'll see how it pans out. I'm not expecting much from these dingbats based on experience but I'm hopeful.
PPQ, what computer games do you play? I got an Xbox and totally forgot I have it. ha! prolly a good stress reliever if I used it. Hope the neighbour ruckus
calms down...that's not fun.
spose I'll set out early to my meeting and see if anyone is early for chatting. So many struggling these days.
that's it for now... girls night so no dinner plans for me.
be well loves!

Mae everybody, Det, no I'm on the east side so we got absolutely none of the rain other parts got
hope you stayed awake for your meeting haha, Lav, sorry about the watermelons, I'd be pissed! I bought a couple and sliced them and froze them, so good to use in a vanilla based protein shake
PQ, sorry about the annoying software, I too have been playing a game but on my phone and I think they just want my money yet I'm dumb enough to pay for the 900 coins to beat whatever level I'm on, or to fill up my lives to keep playing, never thought I'd ever fall for that yet here I am, Mick, hope all is well with you and the bunnies and the family, much love to all and wishes for a great BF Fryday!
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink
I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"

Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

Hi all how are w today then?good I hope ...we are in the middle of a brutal storm ...storm ellen or something ....my sunflower is holding out for dear life.they announced the new lock down rules for around here ..
Oldham had been teetering on the brink of full Leicester-style lockdown due to high infection rates, but after targeted testing and other measures brought numbers down significantly in the space of a week, Matt Hancock yesterday agreed that would not be necessary.
Instead it is understood people in Oldham will be told not to socialise with other households anywhere in the country, a stricter message than the present rules, which had still allowed people to meet in outside public spaces such as parks and outside pubs and restaurants.you may meet up in pubs and restaurants with people in your own household and social bubble ,but not with any others ..
Oldhamers will also be advised only to use public transport for essential travel - largely work and school.
Testing and localised messaging will continue to be ramped up.
Similar measures are expected in Pendle and most of Blackburn with Darwen.
The new Oldham restrictions will come into force at midnight - Friday into Saturday.
good you cant meet people from anywhere ..but i could still go to a pub ...
and then you get this crap..
Forcing Oldham into a tighter lockdown would not only “cripple” the local economy but fuel racial tensions, the council’s deputy leader has warned the government.
its about helping to beat the virus ..not someones twisted perceptions ..honestly!
hiya Det you ok?did you stay awake for your meeting?hope so ..neverhad an x box ..furthest I got was atari paddle tennis or pacman !!!
hiya ppqp ..hows you ...wind and rain on offer here now for you ...yep started a scrap yard now .all removable. did you get your storm ?
hiya Lav.. you ok ?thats a shame about the veg and fruit ....couple of years ago it was ruined by the heat..nope white glove test not done ..that takes me bac a long time ..top of the door as you enter the room ..hope you have a good day .
hiya pauly how ar you today ? where are you .?
take care all

Re: 16t of August..its getting closer...we wish you a......
Greetings Abbers!
Another half decent day almost done & tomorrow we head back into frizzy hair weather, haha!
I have requests for masks so I’ll just stay inside & sew & try to avoid radical frizzing.
PQ, sure hope. Your neighbors were quieter last night. I don’t have a lot of patience for that sh*t.
After hearing the weather report for next week I think the farmers should just give up now. There’s 2 tropical storms heading to the US but right now they look like they’ll be hitting the gulf coast. Of course that could always change over the next few days, geez. Hope the software didn’t give you any headaches today.
Det, so you had rain, nice!
Glad the motorcycle rally was peaceful. Now we’ll have to see how much Covid was passed around
My grandkids have an Xbox, I have no interest right now, maybe some day, LOL
Mick, I read an interesting article today about why women in charge of countries are doing much better containing the virus. Germany & NZ’s leaders were mentioned of course. Apparently women are willing to listen to science & not willing to risk lives. They made their decisions to lockdown based on science with empathy & good communication skills. Go figure!!!! They were willing to put more risk on their economies that on their lives. I’ll leave it at that.
Well, I hope your sunflower made it thru the storm, poor thing!
By the way, SK has contacted me & is trying to get back on the site but says she’s having computer issues. Hopefully we’ll see her back here soon.
Hello to Pie, Sam & Cyn!
Have a nice night all!
Lav

Mae everybody, I heard from SK too yesterday Lav, it is a pain to forget passwords! I hafta use my old phone to pay most of my bills cuz I have no clue what my aliases are or the password to anything! Det we went to the district at Green Valley ranch yesterday and although I have been out there before since things reopened yesterday it seemed they were being extra strict with the masks, not touching stuff etc which I get but I think I'm staying away for a bit, trying to get stuff at Bath and Body works and I just felt uncomfortable, waves to the gang and wishes for a great BF Saturday!
