    Re: July 24

    Good evening friends,

Cooler day, high of 77, go figure!! It will be warming up again but not over 90 at least.

PQ, that extended heatwave has left me feeling like a rag doll, ugh. I had no ‘get up & go’ at all today. Good thing no one was expecting me to actually do anything today, haha!
I’m hearing about the flooding in St Louis, terrible & a woman was found dead in a flooded car, poor thing. I guess the foot of rain they got never made it’s way here. Glad your craft event is on order, sounds like fun

Cyn, glad you’re back safely from your trip. I remember the smoke from last year’s forest fires in the west was visible here - that’s a long way.
Take care & keep checking in with us.

Mick, what an unusual find in an old book. What are you going to do with your 3 bucks? Don’t go crazy, Lol
According to my weather app on my phone it’s raining here now but it really isn’t haha. Not a drop to be seen. Maybe we’re just getting old & that’s why we’re tired, who knows???

Hello to Sam, Pauly & Det. Hope everyone is OK.

    Have a nice night everyone!

    Mae all...

TG...this is the new thread, started on Sunday, so you're all good. Glad you're home safe and sound and that the air quality is improving. You put your feet up and relax for awhile now.

Mick...woohoo, you're in the money! LOL I'm not surprised you're tired, you've been through some wicked heat and I'm sure it takes a toll on the old body. Safe travels to your brother's tomorrow. Does the yoga class relax you enough to help you sleep?

Lav...glad it cooled down a little for you. I heard you were over 90 yesterday, don't usually see PA weather on my news. We had approximately the same temp here today but it was overcast with a light breeze and felt a little chilly. Too bad as the out of school kids were at a splash park today. The clouds moved off when I left work and man that sun has a lot of heat in it.

A bit busier today as the building super is off on vacation so needed to do some setups for programs. The boss was back today after a weekend of moving. He was pretty sore and tired and the last thing he wanted to do was set up for Tuesdays duplicate bridge. It's a big setup. He jokingly said he's not going to let him do that again. I've had lots of vendor responses for the craft fair so far and have only told the previous vendors. Will work on getting the advertising out tomorrow so that should bring in another influx of vendors.

Shout out to Det, Sam and Pauly. Have a good night all....PPQP

    Hey all,

Not too awfully hot today, under 90 at least. Next week the heatwave weather returns, #4. I’m am so over this extreme sh*t it’s not funny
I have plenty of work waiting for me that will keep me comfortably inside for many weeks, haha!

PQ, I honestly long to feel ‘a little chilly’ Lol. I love the colors of summer but the heat & bugs, yuck.
Isn’t it weird how 1 person taking off for a week can mess up the entire organization? I used to cry going back to work after a week off because they saved all my work for me, geez.
    Good luck finding your vendors.

Mick, that’s a beautiful little rose.
I hope your visit with your brother went well today.

Cyn, hope everything is OK with you!

Hello to Pauly, Det & Sam. Stop in when you can

    MAE ALL...

Quick post as I'm just home to eat and then back to the centre for a community garden meeting.

Mick...Your rose looks absolutely gorgeous! Nice color. Safe trip down and back, hope all is well with your brother. Maybe the found money belongs to him. LOL

Lav....we are under the heat warning today 90, but spent most of the day indoors working. I'll be hiding out again this weekend as it's supposed to get hotter. It's not right that everything piles up when you take a vacation. The boss has actually mentioned that he wants to work on that so people feel more comfortable taking time off. Will be interesting to see how that goes.

Shout out to the rest of the gang. Got to get my act together.....PPQP

    morning all,
hope everyone's day is going good. I'm heading to my first cardio rehab today. I'm sure I'll be doing all this stuff with a mask on. Don't get me wrong, I do the mask in public settings but "working out" in one may feel a little weird.

    later friends, gotta run

    MAE ALL...

Sam....did you have to wear the mask? I hope it all went well. I wear my mask whenever I go inside a store. I can really feel a difference now that I'm not wearing it all the time.

Mick...so glad you had good weather for your trip to your brothers. Another 12 months down and dusted, nice to hear no issues with the car. I don't know, I kinda agree with your brother. LOL Meeting went good, short and to the point. We're organizing a commemorative garden party to honor the founder and co-founders. Yup, that includes me. Everyone has stepped up to the planning and I got to admit it's nice not having to be responsible for anything. Yup, hot weather hit. The nice thing was I was the only one in the office today. The kids and staff headed to the zoo and I headed to my bridge game. It was so quiet that I left right afterwards to start my long, long weekend.

Lav...hope you're getting some reprieve from the heat. It was actually stifling out there, glad I wasn't at the zoo. I'm getting a good response from the vendors and I haven't even started advertising it yet! Thought of sending out the link to the craft sale vendors so they could register today and then thought better of it. If they have any problems I won't be at the office till Tuesday to help them. Decided to wait till as I didn't need a bunch of emails waiting for me when I get back to work.

Pauly...thinking of you and hoping you're doing ok.

TG...I hope you are getting some much needed down time.

Det...it would be nice to hear from you. I hope all is going ok for you.

Time to fire up the BBQ and get the burgers on the grill. Have a great evening all....PPQP

    Re: July 24

    Greetings friends,

Nothin exciting here after another miserable day of heat & humidity. Sitting on the deck now with a breeze kicking up & maybe bringing a thunderstorm. I’ll take it at this point, everything is pretty dry.

PQ, hiding inside as much as possible is my game plan until the weather changes for the better

Sam, hope your rehab day went well.
Think about all the healthcare professionals working all day long in a mask - you have good company.

Mick, glad you had a nice visit with your brother yesterday. Living on a boat must be interesting, I could do that at least for a while.

TG or Cyn as I call her messaged me that she’s she’s locked out of MWO at the moment. I passed on the administrators email to her so hopefully she’ll be back soon.
Hello to all & wishing everyone a nice night!

    Re: July 24

Thank you Lav! I am (obviously) back on...
These days are long here and hot too - I never recall 90-degree heat here... and with the altitude, the sun feels like a ray gun.
I’ve a couple of kayak spins on the lake... doing it at the crack of dawn, or just after the sun sets, otherwise too hot. Trying to have some “me” time.
But festivals still have a million things that fall through the cracks... I’m helping some, but trying not to be too much of a “fixer”... that’s a challenge.

Mick, beautiful rose, and I always wanted to go a trip on a canal boat, how nice.
Lav, keep on hiding out until the weather changes.
PPQ, so glad your work is being honored - wonderful!
Sam, good going on the cardio - and smart with the mask!
    Pauly, sending love.
Hello to anyone else stopping by...
I believe it is the dark of the moon tonight - magic!
    Take care all -
    TG
