hiya all ..just a quick jump in .not going away tomorrow ,Jeeves is really poorly .I need to get him to the vet tomorrow,he isnt eating or anything .Im medicating him 3 times a day,critical carefeed every 4 hrs and 5ml water every hour .He will def.be an in patient tomrrow..I guess they will need to x ray him too,see if there is a blockage at all.

Mick, oh dear!!! SO Sorry to hear about Jeeves... Good luck to the vet - I hope they will be able to help the poor little guy... it is so very hard when our loved pets are sick... sending positive thoughts and comfort to you.

Lav, did I miss the report on the party? Or maybe it is today... I've gotten so messed up on days/dates that I have a hard time knowing which day it is, ever! Glad that you didn't get terrible storms as a result of the Hurricane. I have friends in Havana, Cuba (right on the ocean, 10th floor, wall of windows)... they got through the storm okay, but didn't have power. I was hoping that was solved, but last night I saw on the news that Havana is out of power - everywhere. I can't imagine how their family of 6 is handling this -- or the people in FL that are without power for so long - and the hospitals - dear me, what an utter disaster...

The birthday gathering went very well, the entire group was here together & no one exploded or anything haha!
I made sure my kids understood that we are getting OLD & there may not be many more birthdays to celebrate so it’s time to put the BS away once & for all. It was a very enjoying afternoon in the pouring rain thanks to Ian. Pic on FB if anyone interested

Cyn, yep, today was party day & it went off without a hitch. I have to say now that the kids are grown, it’s a much easier & quieter gathering, Lol.
I have a friend in norther FL, closer to the west coast & she said they got thru Ian OK.they built their home down there about 5 years ago & the builder told them they should get a whole house generator (like the one we have here) but they haven’t gotten around to getting one yet. The people of Cuba & PR really took a hard hit from the storm, hope your friends are OK.

Still getting rain connected to the hurricane & our local creeks are spilling out over the roads. One more day of this & it will be done.

I had a very peaceful weekend, I sure needed it. Not one phone call from the boss or alarm company. Boss got quite a few calls and text all the way up to midnight. I figure it was his turn. LOL It was a very busy day so at least it went fast. I happened to check my calendar and noticed a team meeting for this morning, everybody but the boss forgot about it. The accountant hadn't even done the minutes from the meeting last month.

Mick...I hope Jeeves is doing ok. Thinking of you guys. Sorry you had to postpone your detecting and 1st van trip, I'm sure the decision to stay home was the right one.

TG...you sound just as busy as me. You watch those triggers and get things sorted out. How long are you going to be away for?

Lav...you remind me of a quilter, it's never finished. LOL So glad the party went well, you deserved that. We're still enjoying warm dry weather. I know we're going to pay for it when it starts snowing. I hope your weather forecast is correct and things start to dry up. How's Luna doing?

hiya all from a tired me ..fed and wateredJeeves during thenight ,took him to the vet first thing this morning .Manchester in the rush hour is a pain in the bum.Little fella was still pretty listless this morning ...they have kept him in ,taken bloods ,and intravenous meds .he is in the animal hozzy now .It sounds positive though .

that was yesterdays post.it did its own thing ...hope everyone is doing good .Jeeves getting iv meds still and fed by syringe ,no change overnight ,they are going to /have ultra sounded his kidneys ...blood tests showed an abnormality with them

just got a message about Jeeves ..it isnt good ..one of his kidneys has a blockage ,and they considered taking it out ,but he is too poorly and the other kidney isnt so good .The choice Ia have been given is to try him on some other medication or say farewell to him .there is a good chance the meds may not work ,and he may not survive .I think despite my best efforts I have lost my little friend heartbroken isnt a phrase I use lightly but this is one sh.t night .

Mick...when I read your 1st post I was totally confused. Then the second post cleared up that confusion. I am so sorry to hear about Jeeves. You and he have been through a lot. I'm sure you'll make the best decision for the both of you. You're in my prayers tonight.

Very frustrating day, the account has lost her mind and she outright lies. This time it affected me directly and I was pissed. Went to the boss and said I'm taking a break, will be back later. All he said was it sounds like a good idea. This was her 1/2 day today and I just thought she'd better be gone before I get back, and she was. So the rest of the day went smoothly and I got a lot accomplished. Geeze!
