Re: 23rd October
Greetings friends,
A bit chillier here today but not bad, no rain, yay!
I will be working this weekend as requests are coming in, haha. The zoo seems to be doing fine & I have a spaying date for Luna on Nov 29. Just hope nothing happens between now & them haha!!
Cyn, be safe & get some rest friend, you are quite the traveler
PQ, I congratulate you on not punching the accountant in the face, LOL. I can’t work with people like that, geez.
Sounds like the boss needs to learn how to use Facebook - good! How many people are there trying to drive you nuts all at once anyway???? Hope this weekend is restful for you & germ free.
Mick, hope your Sunday detecting goes off as planned.
We change clocks next weekend over here. Then the day light disappears for the long haul, haha. Loving the revolving door pic
Slo, hope your days was a bit better & your comfort level as well.
Hello to Pauly, Det & Sam, check in guys!
Have a nice night all!
Lav

Mae all -
Another quick checkin from me... worn out from today’s drive from Evanston, Indiana to Kansas City Missouri. Lovely scenery the first hour on a quiet road, but then stopped cold for quite some time... the 18-wheeler that had gone by me earlier (carrying an immense, long concrete barrier) had gone off the road and flipped over. that was scary to see. It was the first of 3 slow-downs of the day... but seeing that first was very sobering. Had to get through St. Louis and then Kansas City at rush hour, no fun. But I made it! Tomorrow will be an easy 3-hour drive up to my home. I could have tried to get there tonight, but I’m glad I planned on this last hotel... I don’t drive at dusk ( fearful of the deer) and I am tired enough to go to bed right now (7:45 pm!)
Anyway, wishing everyone well and healthy, and I’ll reply to each of you soon!
Cheers,
TG

Re: 23rd October
Hello everyone and how are we today then? hope everyone is doing well. It is pretty cold over here today, and has only just stopped raining now. It's pretty dark and the clocks go back tonight. I am going metal detecting tomorrow morning and getting picked up at 5:30 which in real time will be 4:30 a.m. I'm getting to the stage where I'm getting up before I go to bed! Rabbits are doing well well, because of the rain they are in the conservatory and they have a box full of straw which have hidden things in, so you can guess the mess they are making!
Hiya teegee do you never stop? Many years ago I hit a deer it bounced off my front bumper sort of shook it's self and ambled off whilst the front end of my car was totally wrecked. Are you resting up for the weekend? Or more travels to follow. Take care and look after yourself
Hiya ppqp..yes it is the weekend. I take it you are having a quiet no work orientated one. Didn't quite work out the boss dad and premier bit,but I guess it must be important .hope you have a great weekend
Hiya slo hope all is well with you?hope you are feeling better.
Hiya lav.. how are you today then? don't you worry the rain I'm sure will be on its way full stop you seriously think you are getting off scot free when I'm living in puddles? Haha. Take care look after yourself and the zoo
Right folks time to go..have a great weekend
af since the fourth of July 2012...howzat then America..now proudly marching into year 8..done that one..now bimbling into year 9..tick ..done that one too..as he casually strolls into numero 10

Re: 23rd October
Hello to all,
That’s true about hitting a deer in the dark/dusk: one jumped right in front of my car a month ago. I was the third car of three in a row on a rural road, and it just suddenly ran up a steep gully in between our cars, right in front of mine. There was nothing that I could do, it was so close; but I was saved by the deer running very fast. But it made me realize that I can’t take that rural route home from daughter’s house in the dark; I’ll have to go the longer way that sticks to main highways.& freeways.
Geez Mick, that is going to make for a very early day tomorrow!
The bunnies are going to have some fun finding the hidden things!
I like the cake & game joke -ha! And yes, my foot did start going counterclockwise!
Yes, I hope Luna doesn’t get pregnant again between now & Nov. 29th.
Daughter D3 should be 38 weeks pregnant today!
I feel a little less like death warmed over today. A neighbor brought me over some chicken noodle soup! That was nice.

Mae all -
Thank you all for your concern and for the good wishes... I am home now, and even though it is not even 6 pm, I am in my jammies, on the couch. Heaven. Yes, I take the deer very seriously - I am very relieved that I got through all that rural driving without incident, whew. Now I have to watch out for the crazy drivers here in this city. Honestly, why is everyone in such a hurry? It is so dangerous - I had to come home on I-80, which runs through the center of town... but as soon as I could I got off and came in on surface streets... people are driving like it is the Le Mans race. And there are so many accidents! Sheesh - so I am trying to be aware, careful, and stay out of everyone's way.
Mick, how did detecting go? I loved the pics, and am so happy you are "training" again. I love the thought of the bunnies searching for treats in the straw... like their own halloween
Slo, I was glad to read that you might be feeling a bit better - sending hopes that the virus is on its way out. Enjoy the weekend!
PPQ - good for you for your patience! And getting back to "A" - fantastic. I admire you for keeping your cool and getting people to "yes". Wow, so your boss's' family has to all live in a fishbowl now that his sister is Premiere... that might get long... hope he's alright with that. Sending you good "restful" vibes for the weekend.
Lav, good luck with Luna and the little one... I hope all goes well. Since you haven't posted before me tonight I am thinking that you are hard at work at your embroidery... or is the show this weekend? Sending you good luck either way...
Hello to Pauly, Sam, Det and all else that drop by... may we be well...

Re: 23rd October
Good evening friends,
I had another busy day planned but one of my grandsons asked if he could come over for the afternoon & I can’t say no. He spent a few hours playing with the kitten & eating. Then we took him out for dinner then dropped hm off at home haha! Non-stop eating at age 11!!! Sunny & cool today heading down to 37 tonight! No rain until Monday evening when the trick or treaters are out, oh boy.
PQ, yes I am filling requests for non craft fair stuff. Regular customers are good to me Lol.
That’s a shame about the boss’s dad. I’d be afraid to eat out if I was Celiac, really. Hope he’s OK. My daughter has been home sick for 2 days with Covid symptoms but none of their local stores have any tests. It seems no matter how hard we try we’re still not getting ir right ;(
Cyn, I imagine. You are happy to be home by this time. Such a little traveller you are
Driving at dusk is scary even without the deer & horses & theoccasional cow roaming the roads around here. Glad you managed to avoid them. Get rested up now
Mick, good luck detecting & your rain will be here Monday evening in time to mess up Halloween. No kids trick or treat down here but they do up in town.
My zoo residents take up a bit of time each morning & evening but all in all not bad.
Slo, hard to believe another grandchild will soon be here. That’s one busy family you have there.
Feeling half. Alive is better than feeling half dead, haha. Glad you’re seeing some improvement.
Hello to the rest & wish everyone a nice night!
Lav
