I have to say I have the same question in my mind. And the statistics do not look good! Well, I'm the type to have to find out for myself so I'll se how it goes.![]()
ML, there are several people here modding successfully. I think I am, and then there's Eve, and others who post. I think part of why we don't see more people on the modding boards is that if you're not having problems, you don't feel compelled to come here and post. Just a possibility. I feel like you do, though, and absolutely do not want to get back to a problem drinking level. I want the best of all worlds and am willing to work for that. And, after my 2.5 af months, I know I can be happy doing that too (go back to being af). Like you say, if we have the desire to try it, we have to find out for ourselves.

Thanks KG!
Anyway time will tell. I'm going to search around the internet for some real moderation success stories. It's hard because with such a lot of negativity about modding it's like the odds are stacked against us before we even start. If there was some positive evidence out there probably more people would try it and be successful. Oh well, I'll stop rambling now and get back to work!
Have a great day!
I hear you ML.........(about not hearing much good about modding). Well, we may be fooling ourselves, but as you said, time will tell. Let me know if you find other mod success stories. I'll do the same if I have time to do any searching around.

So what did Roberta Jewell and her friend Brenda do that was different?
You read the book and it sounds like it was enviably easy for them to slip back into "healthy" drinking habits.
I thought someone posted here (and it could be wrong) that Roberta Jewell is now AF. Anyway, for me at this point I decided modding will not work. I'm actually okay with being abstinent again for now.
Me too. I'm on the home run for 30 days and notched a few in January too. Still undecided about the possibility of modding.
It just concerns me if the book and the site recommend modding as an alternative when few people seem to be able to do that. Anyway, people's ideas of what modding is vary tremendously.
Kundalini and Eve I'd be interested to know what you consider to be moderating and how much you used to drink, if you'd like to share.
hi there - I have tried to mod again for 2 months - I overdrink socially and this has crept back up. no matter how I try this always happens.
I hope you can do it - I am struggling with accepting that i can't drink but the evidence of the last few years speak for themsleves for me.
