Everybody keeps saying that stealing is wrong!

    Personally, I don't buy it.

What's the difference between a Hippo and a Zippo?

Ones really heavy, the others a little lighter.

I've just been to see the meerkats at the zoo, how disappointing!

They know fck all about car insurance.

I bumped into one of my old classmates the other day, thinning hair, beer belly, grey moustache. She's really let herself go!

Scanned through the jokes and noticed Zippo. I town I gew up is the home of the Zippo lighter--it's still stamped on the bottom of each one. When people got really nuts and started coming from all over the world for swap meets people made a bit of money digging their old lighters out. Not sure if there are still swap meets---pretty sure it's called EBay now

      Good morning...

Mick the jokes are funny, the coffee good, loved the bunny progress. Yes daily exercise is my thing now, I need to get in shape and feel stronger and ready for new adventures.

Det, so sorry you are so sick, again, torture, I get it. Hope you can go to work today, please reach out to your group or someone face to face if that would be helpful. We are here for you but only so much we can say online.

Hello to all have a good one.

          heya ABers near and far,

cranking along here and nibling some food which is good. Just staying in no-drama mode at all costs. Lav mentioned the anxiety on last nights
post and i agree that's the worst. Your body and brain just clawing to get away from itself. man.

Mick, I'm no bunny therapist but I'm sure they will be getting along soon. or at least i hope so.

wishing you all a peaceful and lovely night

MAE ALL...Late check in for me...where did the day go!

Mick...thanks for the start up, much appreciated. Jeeves is just going to have to learn to share. LOL Yup, not very often I treat myself to breakfast. It's the one meal I like someone else cooking for me. Thyroid biopsy tomorrow, should take about 30 minutes and I'm really expecting it to be benign but won't know for a couple of days.

SF...Zippo lighters...who knew. Well apparently Mick.

Snoop...hope your day was a good one.

Det...you are sounding better and glad you're able to eat a bit. Take it you didn't go to work today? No drama mode is definitely the way to go. Even if everything is going ok in my life the anxiety caused by drinking is debilitating. Hope you have a healing night.

Lav...shout out to you too. Too tired to look back to last nights posts. LOL

            Pauly....thinking of you.

I do believe it's a tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich night. Have a restful evening all.....:smile:PPqp

              Good evening Abbers,

Well we had a sunny but still chilly day here, not complaining

Mick, you know the older 'kid' is never really all that thrilled when you bring a new one home. Sibling jealousy is real & probably is in the bunny world as well, ha ha!

Hi there SF. Zippo lighters - takes me back to high school!!!

SnoopStar, my Fitbit pesters me to move around on days that I decide to skip exercise, Lol.

Det, glad you are hanging in & checking in with us. Please keep taking care of yourself & listen to some guided meditations. I swear they are the best anxiety busters.

PQ, it was a soup & sandwich kind of day here too, nothing wrong with that!

              Have a nice night everyone!

Hi folks. Quick check in from California. I ate cactus tonight! Very tired - long flight and ghastly immigration queues even for those of us who have ESTA status and have done all the paperwork. Bloody nightmare.

                  Re: tuesday

The Zippo factory is just about all that is left there now. There was a time when everyone in the military was issued one. I grew up in the middle of no-where-land and its one of those little towns that is just drying up. Almost reminds me of a Stephen King novel. Then about 20 years ago one of the Indian reservations built this massive casino about an hour away. There sits this massive casino in the middle of no where.....yet, the parking lot is completely full 24/7. They bus them old folks in from everywhere to gamble away.

When we got the dog we gave her treat for going outside to pee. She hasn't always been successful at this. Now I swear she goes out and fakes pee to just get a treat. I've tried to call bullshit---"you don't get a treat for that fake pee you just did"....and then she pees on the floor to show me who is the real boss around here.

Had a great session with the therapist today. I kept kind of going back and forth on a corporate job thing. I have to admit the $$ is rather attractive at times. Kind of in a flashbulb moment---if I had to choose my life today or the life I had back then--which one would I really choose? Hands down the life I have now. There was sort of a freedom in realizing I will never have to go back to that life ever. I seriously think it took a full two years for it to set in as reality. I don't have to fix that Linkedin profile, touch up the resume again or pee in a cup for a job ever again. I could even get a huge tattoo all the way down my arm! We are not rolling in the dough, but we are more than comfortable on what we bring in now.

I think just now I am coming full circle into--this is my life, I like it--and it is reality. I love working at the store there is such a creative energy that flows through there--I think in part where we are located. I work with people who do folk music all the way to metal. The authors are coolest people I have crossed paths with. My photography gig---I really couldn't ask for a better work from home thing. My on-line business continues to ebb and flow---just as it should. All this enables me to truly be here and connect with my kids on levels I never imagined.

It certainly is not all roses and daises---but, compared to what I was living---it kind of is. And in some weird way, it was hard for my brain to grasp that this was my new reality. As if some mean ghost was going to show up and force me back to corporate hell.

And while I think we all have a hand in our realities--the reality was that I could not leave the corporate world sooner than I did. I am just glad that I am on the other side of it now.

And that is worth passing on a drink every damn time my brain may think its a good idea
