Good afternoon f o l k s how are we today then? All good I hope. Well surprise surprise the weather is back to normal, as we speak it is pouring with rain. They reckon we got more than two weeks worth of rain overnight, quite easy to see the little stream at the back of the garden is almost a river now. Not bad considering two days ago the temperatures were in the + 40 s. Oh well can't win them all. Both rabbits are doing fine, a bit bored because of the rain, but I'm sure I will cope

Did you get out to see your friend today or did the rain put a damper on that? That little stream has turned into a river before. No rain here and the temp is a reasonable 22. Heading over to the garden soon to prop up some beans. I've discovered a hornets nest inside my garden plot. It's the one with the water reservoir inside so I think the nest is somewhere in there. Any ideas on how to get rid of them? This week should be a lot quieter so I do plan on playing cards every chance I get.

Lav...that's unfortunate that both grandsons ended up going to the production. At least they behaved. Maybe another special day for the little guy next week?

I must be slipping on my politics, didn't see that Boris wants to revisit the Iran Nuclear Tready. Will have to catch up later today. Have a great Sunday all....:smile:PPQP

Sent my grandson home early this afternoon then I flopped on the couch & took a nap, haha!
Being in the company of both boys all day yesterday wears us out. They tend to be noisy, always smacking each other & are good at disturbing the peace, LOL

Mick, our nice weather is over with, we’re back in heatwave mode. 90+ degrees today & forecasted the same for the rest of the week.
I really do not enjoy this heat, I wish I could trade with someone.
Your weather is starting to looks like ours - many days of extreme heat followed by drenching rains
My head absolutely starts to hurt just thinking about the two clowns in charge of our countries. I can not wait until this sh*t is over.

PQ, my DIL simply dumped the older boy on us & that pissed me off. She knew damn well that I had planned a weekend with the younger one. I get absolutely no respect or thanks from her. I need to have a conversation with my son, he’s not totally harmless in this either.
Don’t pay too much attention to the politics here or in the uK - you’ll get a headache too.

ah yes, the politics, I feel like things are changing for the worst environmentally and politically for the worst and there doesn't seem to be much one person can do. Like watching a slow moving train wreck, you know how it ends and getting in the way only gets you run over.

been working pretty steady, a family flair up between my children who are quite adult but forget they are, drunk showing up at my house about 3 am, music with a couple different groups and time just flits by.

Mae everybody,Sam that's too bad about the "kids" I swear my oldest is nearly 30 but still seems 15-16 politics is doing my head in and it doesn't help that on my FB feed most of my friends and family love Trump!! I get way to riled up but it's hard with family,Det,I was pissed to read they let you go! NV is a right to work state they say so people can hire/fire with no reason,I hope you find something quick! Lav,I'd be irritated too,we love our boys but plans are plans and your son and DIL need to respect that,waves to Mick and PQ,much love to all and wishes for a great BF Monday!

Then to finish off the perfect day, it's a nice blow job before I go to bed.

Farmer Giles was milking his cow the good old fashioned way. He was just starting to get a good rhythm going when a fly flew into the barn and started buzzing around his head. Suddenly, the fly flew into the cow's ear.

Farmer Giles didn't think much about it until all of a sudden the fly squirted out into his bucket...

It went in one ear and out the udder.

Sam...I feel the same way about things changing for the worse. Bummer about your 3am visit, reminded me of my ex. Haven't heard from him for awhile, mind you being in jail helps. LOL Time is flying by. Before you know it the "S" will be here. I like the jean planters, are they yours?

Pauly...there you are. Just saw on the news the Vegas is getting swarmed with grasshoppers. Have you got them at your place? Never heard of "right to work". Does that mean Det will have troubles getting unemployment benefits? Some of my family are Trump supporters too so I don't go there, ever. Hope you had a good Monday.

Mick...Hornet's next is no more, I think. Checked some reviews online and emailed a company for a quote. Half an hour later the guy shows up to have a look and says no problem he could do it right now. Bombed the nest a couple of times and said he'll swing by tomorrow just to have another look. If they come back so will he at no charge. Best $110 bucks I've spent. No set at the card table for me today so hopefully will be able to play on Wednesday.

Det...thinking of you and hope you can get things sorted quick.

I say my thanks to the AC gods & the universe every single day, honestly!
Heard about the shooting at the garlic festival in CA yesterday, how very sad. Two of the victims were just kids. At least the shooter got what he deserved. Yes, we do need gun control laws but we're not likely to get them anytime soon.
I’m watching grandson #2 this evening but not overnight. His mother is teaching a class & the older one likes to sit in & listen, go figure.

Sam, love the planter pants, LOL. Something like that might freak out the neighbors just a bit

Pauly, my son will be turning 39 this November but I thinkI can still kick his ass if I had to, haha! I just don’t understand this behavior, he certainly wasn’t taught to behave like that. I guess I have to blame the DIL. I hate self-centered people, they’re quite rude.

Mick, I hope you never experience heat like this without having AC. I would simply croak, ugh.
I really can’t stay out for more than 5 minutes at a time or I start getting lightheaded. Eventually I get everything done that I need to do. The chickens have all survived so far so that’s good.

Guess I better go see what my little buddy is up to.

Grasshoppers? oh yes, we have an insane infestation of them. Thankfully i find them cute and harmless but
some people get really freaked by them for some reason.

murders at a garlic festival? that is very disturbing. I had a great time at the Gilroy Garlic festival some years ago

last night at girlfriends place I made a dinner of chicken sausage from 'Sprouts Farmers Market' butternut squash, fresh fennel,
garlic, heavy cream, lemon zest....damn it was a hit! didn't have any 'naughty' carbs and didn't miss them. A Thai version with coconut
milk would be a hit too I'm sure, along with lemongrass and kaffir lime leaves. ok...next one....

On the personal mental/emotional front I'm doing very well and staying calm and non-reactive. My Buddhist studies have bolstered me in tremendous
ways, along with the amazing group at RR down here. No panic, anxiety or sleeplessness at all. A win! I also have the most wonderfully supportive and
strong lady friend I could have imagined. Blessings all over Paid for my biz domain .com site today so in the process of setting up my Shopify store and
figuring out Facebook Ads campaign strategies now. my head is spinning so time to find a sci fi or something. Definitely NOT the news. That's the equivalent
of junk-food in virtual form.
Played in the pool so long yesterday arvo with GF and daughter that my eyes turned beet red and my nose stayed stuffed-up half the night. ack! I'll have to
limit my exposure to chlorine water. The pool did have a lot of grasshoppers in it but I don't think I'm allergic to them.

There is a huge over-the-top Mormon temple just up the street here so tonight I'm going to take my camera and tripod up there and try for some
dramatic pics.

Winslow was trying to eat them on his walk haha,Det,we live down the street from the temple,hubs likes to drive by on Christmas Eve every year,he's supposed to be Mormon but he's not into it anymore,glad you're keeping calm,cool and collected love Sprouts but I don't like Tropicana so I hardly ever stop in Lav,I was very sad to see the shooting at the garlic festival,cripes can't do anything anymore! That was totally pointless and two kids gone and the other young man killed had just graduated college! Lives lost for what?!?! Mick,loved the video of the rain you sent a couple weeks ago,as I said I'm jealous and that's what Det and I need for at least one day to clear out this dusty air,much love to all and wishes for a great BF Tuesday!

Pauly...I've experienced an infestation of grasshoppers before. Just north of where I used to live. Was driving up the highway and thought what is that, then they all started jumping. Scared the crap out of me. I don't know if I'd want Winslow eating them. I just wonder how much influence carrot top is having on all these people going crazy with guns. Hmm.

Mick...oh no, not another downpour. Hornets have stayed away so I think we're good. Will keep an eye on it thought. Boy that's a lot of hiking plans you have, hope you space them out. LOL Most of the garden has come back after the hail storm we had. I'll try and get a pic up if I remember. Everything appears to be taking shape for card playing tomorrow. Hopefully there'll be a chair for me.

Hot, hot & more hot today BUT tomorrow relief comes in the form of thunderstorms, rain, hail, grasshoppers ~ whatever, haha!!
I think we have more tiny toads hopping around in the grass than grasshoppers this year. Probably due to the excess dampness.
Another day & another mass shooting in the US. Today it was in a Mississippi Walmart & the shooter turned out to be an employee, geez.

Det, glad you are hanging in & also getting your online shop going, very cool!
I made a Facebook page for my crafty stuff this year so I don’t have to punish all my friends with craft pics, haha! Facebook sends frequent messages about the page telling me how many people viewed a new pic or pressed ‘Like’ on something. They also offer to Boost your posts for $30 or something. Not really sure what I want to do with all that yet.

Pauly, so you married a Morman? Interesting to me because we don’t have any around here although they do show up at the door from time to time handing out literature. I don’t think they get much business here in cow country
Of course we also get a share of Jehovahs Witness folks doing the same. The last visitor handed me an invitation to an event in Philadelphia. No thanks.

Mick, I see N Korea is launching missiles again today. Do you think our Clowns in charge will do anything about that? LOL
