I want to extend a sincere thanks to mollyka for the shout out thread, it wasn't necessary but it was nice to see none the less!

And also a thank you to everyone who responded to the shoutout, you are all special people in my life who make my sobriety even more satisfying!

I'm not one much for making speeches, but one thing I do have to say, the support you have all given me has got me to where I am today! And for that I am truly grateful!

And to answer your questions scotskev81, the not getting up at 3am with the hot flashes and sweats, being able to sleep a full 7 to 8 hours is one of the best benefits to being sober! It's so much easier to tackle the day's problems and challenges if you're well rested! I didn't lose any weight, I actually didn't have any extra weight to lose in the first place lol. I did put on a few pounds when I first quit because of the extra eating I was doing, but shed those pounds rather quickly when I got back to healthy eating. Just stick with your AF journey and you'll be rewarded with all the benefits that sobriety has to offer!

Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

Thanks for everything, Cowboy. I look to you as a role model. And I’m thrilled for you that you have gotten yourself this far.
