Day 1836 for this Girly!! Yay me! And yay to everyone who is sober today. Give yourselves a big pat on the back - it's something to be proud of on so many levels!!

Delighted to see Ficks and Tabbers here. Tabbers - count the little milestones as well. You'll be at 10 days in no time. Then two weeks, three weeks and one month. It feels so good to see that number getting bigger and bigger and know that you are distancing yourself from the nightmare. You know the drill - you've been here before, as we all have. When we decide that we truly do not want to drink again - do not want to go that route again, then the decision is made and sticking to it is very simple. Maybe not easy, but simple. You know it - just don't drink today. Again - really good to see you posting here.

Wishing you all a super fabulous, sober Sunday!

518 days or 18months and grateful for every one of them.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

5 years, 9 months, and 5 days of living life with no expectations, only acceptance...
Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

26 months plus 26 days

Off to a drinking event today (yes, gathering a few relatives over lunch to celebrate an 8-year-old’s birthday is sadly a drinking event) —but I can handle it fine by now!

Good job, Tabbers (a.k.a. KTAB)!
