hiya all ...just waiting for the plumber to turn up ...the heating still isnt right an he is going to change the kitchen taps .hope everyone is good

President Lukashenko of Belarus has just phoned to congratulate President
        Trump on his re-election.

Why did Melania cross the road?

        To get the fck out

Donald Trump's career as President of the USA will soon be over and he just can't stand it.

But out of magnanimity, I'm prepared to offer him a role in a major construction project along the Mexican border.

Nice to see Trump finally making America Great Again.

          oy ABeroooos!

a marvelously dark and cold weekend was upon Vegas for the weekend which was a nice change and it was a lovely 29f
          this morning!

Lav, that's great intel on Idaho Falls. we are also looking at places in northern AZ. decisions... decisions.. I'm sure I'd be
happy in either spot. Just a matter of the job prospects then. and house rental costs of course.

not too many nasty protests out and about which is good. just a few where they were already happening for whatever unknown reason,
but Vegas is pretty mellow. well, it's crazy in it's own organic way of course.

only 1 shoot today and nothing yet for tomorrow. ack! getting to be the slow time of year which isn't great fun but I'll think of something.

Pauly, you surviving the temperature switch ok?

Mick, I don't envy your plumbing situation. I had a delivery of my lovely framed print from Florence sent up by my ex and the shipping
company managed to bash it into bits, so I have an expensive box of broken glass. oh joy.

otherwise things are pretty fine and dandy. Made a mega pot of beef/barley/veggie soup last night which was just what we needed.

          ok, off to the races...

          be well loves!

            Good evening friends,

We’re still enjoying the sunny, balmy weather here but it’s ending Wednesday with rain followed by seasonal temps.
Getting a bit caught upon embroidery orders, nice to see folks are thinking ahead for Christmas gifts

Mick, sorry your thread disappeared yesterday. Where do they go???
I should send YB over to help with the plumbing work. He is able to do quite a bit & he also worked with an electrician many years ago as a side job so he can do that as well.
I think Trump may be hiding & filling up his diaper as we speak, haha!

Sam, they’re going to have to put a gigantic plastic bag over the white house & set off smoke bombs or something, haha.

Det, sorry to hear about the shipping on your print. I have also gotten glass items delivered completely smashed, ugh.
I think Idaho Falls is a bit bigger than Twin Falls where my brother was, a town of around 50,000 I believe. Keep looking for the best spot for you to grow your business

Hello to Pauly, hope you are OK, Got my hair cut. Today & thought of you.

Hello to Cyn who is out of self-quarantine, yay!

Hello to everyone else stopping by & wishing a good night for all!

              MAE ALL...

Sorry for not checking in over the weekend. Was feeling kinda blah with no energy, ended up doing a lot of reading.

Lav...you're probably going to have to do another Costco run if you had your g/son there all weekend. It was a cold miserable weekend here but thankfully we didn't get much snow, just wind. Lethbridge just south of me actually had a snow day today. Sunday saw 6ft snowdrifts. We're going to be below normal all week, me thinks winter has arrived.

Mick...I was sure you'd have started a thread, bummer. I read your poem on FB it is wonderfully done. We honor our fallen with crosses along Memorial Drive every year. With 3500 freshly painted crosses all labeled with a fallen soldier from Southern Alberta it's quite something to see. Unfortunately the Nov 11th ceremony is closed to the public this year, but it will be live streamed. Used the washroom when I got to work this morning and when I stood up it flushed. Scared the hell out of me. I didn't even notice the plumbing had been changed. I hope your plumbing work was completed today.

Sam...I think a lot of people will breath better once he's finally out. I don't know how much authority he still has but he could probably do a lot more damage before Jan 20th.

Det...wow, 29F, did you get any snow? Sorry about your delivery. Is the actual print still ok? Was there any insurance on it? How disappointing. Best of luck deciding where the new homestead is going to be.

              Wishing everyone a peaceful night....:smile:PPQP

Mae everybody, Det Northern Arizona is expensive, Twin Falls has no jobs but then I'm placing my stats on when I lived there in the 90's trust me I've looked everywhere else for a good place to live other than Vegas, tried a few they were ok in their own way but I always came back, I never thought I'd end up here but for me it's become home, you'll find somewhere though I just had too much going on at that time too, Mick, hope your plumbing gets sorted, PQ, that was funny about the toilet scaring you haha, I don't know what kind of B.S DT will try to pull while he's still in office, he is still the prez but he's freaking out and desperate, I don't know why as I told Lav before he seemed over the job anyways, Lav, glad you got to spend some time with your grandson over the weekend, I took Kells biting dog, I never said I was gonna have her put down like Mick thought I was saying, I just said I wanted her to get outta their house and this way we know where she is, I've always loved my grabdpuppy and now I can spoil her too much love to all and wishes for a great BF Tuesday!

Hi all and how are we today then ?hope everyone is doing good. The big thing over here is this discovery of the possible vaccine it is reliable for 90% of the population they reckon, and so far it has passed the tests .listening to the radio over here people are really really depending on it and one of the head honchos at the place where it has been developed is almost positive it will be out for Christmas they have even got a programme over here for it who will get it first etc etc ....fingers crossed this is the one. Been out in the garden today got some plants some more plants, so I've been putting them in ...also been cutting back geraniums and dividing them for next year. Julie is actually in the process of planning holidays for next year none of which involve going abroad. But there are some fantastic places we're going to visit. Next year on Christmas day we will be in Chatsworth House itself for Christmas dinner we have provisionally booked it and there were 6 places left.
Hiya pauly how are you today then? hope all is well with you. glad you not having to get the dog put down I don't know what the rules are over there but over here it's not a discussion point the dog goes which I think isn't fair but there we go. Have you started getting stuff in for Christmas?

Hiya ppqp how are you today then? hope you are feeling better thank you for your comments on my poem it just came to me to try and do a parallel between then and now so far I've had 7 people ask if I am going to publish my poems I think not what I do it's simply because I enjoy doing it you take care and look after yourself you know where I am if you need to talk PS I've been to Lethbridge to

Hiya lav how are you today ? Hope all is well. Plumber came last night cut some pipework cutout bent and soldered some new piping in drained the boiler down down refilled and bled the system and also fitted the new kitchen taps £80 pretty good price you take care

Right folks time to go and start the tea it's MasterChef here take care look after yourself

Can’t believe I got fired on my very first day as a signwirter.

Biden says Melania can stay in the White House.

                    Re: November 8, 2020

                    Greetings Abbers,

Went turkey shopping today, now it’s in the freezer. I am planning on a scaled down dinner this year but everyone will be well fed. I have to admit putting on the whole feast by myself is just too much work anymore. My daughter-in-law invited herself to dinner but doesn’t ever help with anything, to be honest. I’ve had her parents here for many holiday meals, this year it’s just her Dad. I know what they boys will eat & my son has always eaten anything I’ve put in front of him, haha!

PQ, sorry about the weather. I just saw narilly posting there was several inches on the ground, ugh. I had to LOL about the self-flushing toilet, they are weird for sure. Hope you are feeling better now

Pauly, glad to hear you’re taking the dog. When the kids are at your house, keep them away from the dog until they are old enough to understand that she doesn’t want to play or be jumped on, whatever. I can’t blame a dog for reacting to protect themselves.
I did have to restock my kitchen today after my eating machine grandson’s visit, haha!

Mick, that’s great you got all that work done for a good price!
We’ve always had friends in the building trades so we had easy access to them when we needed help with our old houses. When we moved here into a new house we didn’t need anyone around for a long time until things started wearing out. Nothing new lasts long these days, what a pain.
I found a container of stuffed cabbage in my freezer when I was making room for the turkey today. Guess what we had for dinner?

Hello to Det, Sam, Pie, Cyn & Anjicia. Hope everyone is doing well.
                    Have a nice night all!

                      MAE ALL...

Pauly...sounds like a good plan you taking the grandpuppy, you'll just have to figure out what to do with him when the g/kids visit. I'm sure you'll work it out. Our covid numbers are getting out of control and the boss asked the childcare director if she had a way of contacting all parents if we go into a lockdown. The Alberta Dr's want the government to shutdown for 2 weeks, they are calling it a Circuit breaker. It is a stat holiday tomorrow so we'll see what happens come Thursday.

Mick...I am feeling much better today, thanks. The discovery of the possible vaccine is a big thing over here too. Regardless of when the vaccine is approved it still has to be approved by Canada Health Services. There are a lot of drugs that don't pass their test. At least it's a flicker of light at the end of the tunnel. Been out in the garden...I couldn't even see my garden today. Good job on booking Chatsworth House especially with only 6 places left. You may not want to publish your poems but I bet Lav could embroider a wall hanging with one of them. Food for thought?

Lav...I'm sorry about the weather too, but hey, I got my new tires. LOL Yup, it snowed all night and all day but the temp was sitting around 32F so not bitterly cold like the weekend. Thanks for the virtual hug, I'm feeling better. I've decided to call these episodes Mick Hiccup's as we both seem to experience them. LOL. What do you think of a wall hanging? Some of Mick's poems are profound!

We've had a week of above seasonal temps with no snow and when does my son decide to travel to Saskatchewan? In the middle of a blizzard! He hooked up his 5th wheel, loaded it with 2 ATV's and a Bronco and headed east today. I decided to turn my worry switch off. He just texted me "Almost there. Fun trip!" I'm not even going to ask.

Shout out to everyone else and have a good night all....:smile:PPQP

Mae everybody, PQ, we're now in a "soft lockdown" governor wants people to volunteer to stay home so we don't hafta shut down for realz again and he'll reassess in two weeks,Kells scared, I told her to be saving money but she argued that they'd never shut down again, Mick, the hospital did say they'd hafta report the dog to animal control but I think Kell will just tell them they gave her away to someone, Dottie absolutely LOVES Louie, it's just Romeo she bites and growls at cuz he's constantly jabbing at her, I'll put her upstairs when the boys come cuz I never let them upstairs anyways when I watch them, too much stuff they can and will get into haha! Lav, I dunno what the holidays will look like this year, it's only us anyways but I better get my turkey before everyone hoards them! As long as I get my stuffing and mashed potatoes and gravy I'll be happy much love to all and wishes for a great BF Wednesday

Hello how are you today then? Hope all is well I've been out in the garden again today overwintering begonias I didn't realise there were so many different kinds corms bulbs seeds etc and guess what digging the garden yesterday day I slipped twisted my shoulder and have now got pain from my shoulder through to my forearm and my fingers. I've not stopped to taking painkillers all day got an appointment at physio in the morning so we shall see what happens there. Went down paid my respects at the memorial this morning for armistice day not a lot there it's immaterial I went to pay my respects not be part of an audience.

Glad that Kell managed to sort the dog issue out .a soft lock down? Does that mean they get paid for staying at home Liverpool are on lockdown and they're getting paid there are rumours of unrest on the streets they want lockdown for the next 27 years just normal really

                          Hiya ppqp
Glad you are feeling better today .yes why.... not let's have our own Wailing Wall. the vaccine over here apparently has passed all the tests the government in its infinite wisdom as ordered 30 million tests I wondering has anyone told them there are 66 million people in the UK maybe the 30 million figures they work off for immigration

                          Hiya lav
How are you today then? hope all is well with you are the grandsons with you yet eating you out of house and home in fact it's only the one isn't it have a great time..I noticed that Trump was at the veterans memorial today ..I would be totally insulted for my comrades after the comments he previously made about them ...how come he saluted too? that should be for those in uniform .

Pauly...I hope no issues arise by Kell giving the dog away (to someone). I'm not sure how strict the rules are over there. Other than not being able to visit some of my family, the holidays will be much the same as usual. I'm not doing a turkey so you can have mine. LOL

Mick...ouch! I'm surprised Julie let's you out of the house. Sounds like you did a number on it and I hope the physio in the morning resolves things for you. Although we were not allowed to gather at our memorial this year I was there virtually. For some reason I'm really emotional this year, lots of tears during the service and the following stories. Perhaps with this pandemic and mandatory lockdowns it really brought home what our veterans fought for, our freedom. Post turned out great and I love your lid.

Got to remember this is Wednesday, not Saturday, and that I have to go to work tomorrow. LOL Hope you're all having a great AF Day......:smile:PPQP

                              Mae all -

Wow, a lot of information to catch up on! Great to hear how everyone is doing... yes, the weather is strange all over. Sunny and warm yesterday here, then warm and rainy and blowy today, then I guess tomorrow more seasonal, as Lav said...

I worked all day on estate stuff and my eyes are about crossed right now, so I'll be brief, but want to thank everybody who is here and doing the good work... such a heartening thing to come back to something which is stable and still going... cheers to you all.

Today I am honoring not just all the veterans (3 in my immediate family) but I think we should also be honoring all the Covid war veterans; the nurses, doctors, helpers, cleaners of hospitals, all those who are risking their lives everyday for our health, and to save our loved ones. And of course to remember the astonishing number of people who have been taken by this disease... by some accounts more here in the US than in all our wars combined... I think that counts for something...

                              Grateful to you all... ❤️
