    New Year New Start Army January 2021

    Good morning everyone! And a very happy New Year to you all!

    I am taking a leaf out of Mr G's 5am Club and am up and at it. Ya snooze ya lose etc :haha:

    In answer to Satz on prev thread. Yes, masks are mandatory here. I am not sure why we do so badly and cannot control this thing. There are a lot of folk that do not believe there is a virus. I dont think the media help much as with anything really. And of course there are many nutters around. But hey ho heres hoping for a better 2021.

    I am off for a long walk up a steep hill with my walking buddy and doggers this morning. It is thick frost out there so hoping to see a lovely sunrise.

    Morning all of youse AND 2021...good to hear Fickle is around...HALLOOOOO missus! I presume Jackies eyes aren't up to posting so happy New year to you as well..and Foxy and back further Tony? Lots of folks that may need a fresh start

            Mr G I'm going in for the full early am experience tomorrow. Maybe some exercise too, God forbid? Apparently the last 20 minutes are to be spent improving the mind so any suggestions most welcome....

              Good morning everyone and happy New Year. Thanks for starting us off Starty. Looks very frosty here too. Not doing the early walk this morning as we knew we would be up late so gave ourselves a lie in. I have been awake but lay here reading. That’s all I can think of to improve the mind Bridget. Love a good book.

              Yea fresh start for all of us so just aboard to a dry January and beyond.

                Haha almost posted in last months thread, which would not be that unusual for moi, last years thread however blimey. Anyway here I am Jan 1st with another sober Christmas under my belt, feels good to say that, and on into a new year. Salutations of the season to you all my friends on this our shared journeys.
                Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

                    All about me first....................operation is Monday 4th January 11am.
                    Sorry I haven't posted but its hard with a blind eye. I can see light around the edge but that's about it. This time next week I'll be able to see. Believe me when I say I've cried many tears as its been so frustrating. especially around 3/4pm when its not quite light and not quite dark.

                    Looks like we're all been through the wars. Poor Joe. Hope he's on the mend or at least clutching a letter from the hospital.

                      Beautiful day here..Joe is taking back the reins of the Mutt...I have gratefully relinquished them...jaysus you folk with half a dozen animals...how the FECK do yiz do it? I'm worn out!

                        SO -- things aren't looking marvellous virus wise here in Ireland - think things may have gone a bit off the rails over Christmas -- the irony in OUR family is of course - the only one who put themselves in the way of danger was the only one who is in danger if he GETS the virus - and that was Joe in Beaumont hospital!! So it's 8 days now since that happened.. or 7 -- nope only 7 --- so we have to hope that he's ok -- ANYWAY -- long story short -- I won't tell it at all ;-) ach I will --- we sent a message to the family group to say we are locking ourselves down - totally - for a couple of weeks anyway -- no visits - no nothing.. just going to isolate - me - him - and Mutt..... it would be MADNESS to expose ourselves to the poxy virus when we'll probably get the vaccine quite soon -- certainly Joe will - and I won't be far behind him hopefully -- so yeah -- alone all alone -- (sounds heavenly but mustn't look TOO happy) - so I'll have yiz tormented on here to talk to me:welldone:

                          Happy New Year, Army. Lots of plans and strong intentions await. I’m heading off to hike Yosemite’s Hetch Hetchy. Not sure the trail is open but we’ll blaze our own otherwise. Blessings x

As for NY resolutions, I rarely make them because whenever I have in the past, I set the goals too high and could never reach them.                               Stirly you always write such lovely detailed posts. I have the memory of a goldfish and can never remember whats gone before to add a meaningful comment. You always do that so well.
