I wrote this yesterday ,reflecting my thoughts ,and I guess a good few others...



Once labelled by all as the land of the free ,
For 48 months twas not to be,
A once great nation had lost its way,
Bullied cajoled, lies every day.

Walls part built, covid and bleach,
Their author won a two time impeach,
Climate change to him a bluff,
Capitol Hill. that was enough.

So President Biden it’s all down to you,
To both your nation and the world be true
Keep your promises and let the world see
How you remade your nation the land of the free

Thanks, Mick. I was reading people's reaction to the US news in the Army thread, too. It feels good that people all over the world actually care about what happens to us/U.S. and don't assume that what you hear and see from our 'leaders' necessarily reflects the views of everyone. We have the chance now to not only undo much of what happened the last 4 years but perhaps more importantly, to address the conditions that existed, allowing the last 4 years to happen.
