    MAE ALL...

Mick...thanks for starting this weeks thread. It's nice over here too, went for a walk but it was no where near 8 miles. LOL Good thing you got back to being you again yesterday. Glad the Peskies are enjoying their new winter abode, lucky to have a summer get away place. Hope Julie's dad continues to improve. You take it easy laying that cushioned flooring next week.

Lav...we're going to be above freezing all week which is a nice change. Next weekend temps are dropping but shouldn't last long. Dare I say we might be heading into spring soon. I'm really glad I don't suffer from migraines, these chinooks can be hard to handle. I'm still having a tough time with my sleep, I think I need to get more outdoor activity into my daily routine. Otherwise I may try OTC sleep aides again.

TG...gremlins just keeping you on your toes. LOL Pauly can't sign in and you can't sign out. Great find on the support-type vest for Zander, I'm sure both of you are grateful. No project work this weekend and am hoping for some resolutions next week. Not stressing over it anymore, it'll get done when it's done.

Det...good to see your post. You be careful sledding in the mountains, it's not so forgiving on us oldies. Nice pics of the lake, thoughts of getting a boat now? Hope you get some good news on the job front soon, I know how frustrating that can be. It's been awhile since girly has had a bad day. I must say I'm proud of the way you handled it. Will we be seeing the next Youtube Cooking Show from you soon?

Shout out to Pauly, Sam and Pi. Hope all is ok with everyone.

    Have a good Sunday all....:smile:PPQP

      Re: 21 Feb

      Good evening folks,

Cold but dry here so that’s good. We may see a little snow tomorrow, nothing much they say. I hope they’re right this time, haha!!
I made a big fat pot of vegan creamy vegetable chowder, yum. We’ll be eating that all week.
I did make plans to go see my granddaughter Friday afternoon & take them out to lunch for her 10th birthday, looking forward to that

Det, those lake pics are awesome, looks so clean & peaceful there! Your arugula pesto looks lovely too
Listen, I have 3 grandkids that are tiptoeing into hormone-ville - I get what you are dealing with. You did great, stayed calm, found your inner peace & let it blow over. When they lash out it’s the hormones, don’t take it personally. Keep taking beautiful pics, something will open up for you in the job market.

Mick, sounds like you enjoyed your 8 mile HIKE today, Lol. If my feet were in better shape I would have done something similar. Glad your family & crew are doing OK.
I’ve just signed us up at a 3rd location for vaccines, I hope one of the 3 places calls soon. The bad weather across the country has held up distribution apparently.

PQ, I get mild head changes with this goofy weather but nothing real bad. It was real bad 20 years ago after my head injury though, ugh.
I finally ordered an extra thick mattress topper to go on top of my new firm mattress so I have slept longer the past two nights. The mattress is fine for my lower back but the firmness was making my shoulders ache - ridiculous. I’m still using OTCs but I don’t care, whatever works, right? We need sleep to function!!

Cyn, that doggie lifter is a good idea as long as you can manage it. The vet wanted me to get one for Maxie but she was 100 lbs & I couldn’t lift her without hurting myself. We ended using large pool towels & it took 2 of us to lift her. Zander is slimmer, thank goodness. Be on the lookout for something in teh mail this week

      Hello Pauly, Sam & Pie.

Have a nice night one & all!

        Mae all -

Sorry I missed posting last night, I had joined a "checkit out" class about drumming and meditation, and I got so excited I just enjoyed the feeling of freedom. Plus I had a long day of paperwork and estate work and taxes, and couldn't face any more normal screen time.
Ended up LOVING this class and signed for the $11 per month. This woman is the real deal, and I love drumming! In my secret life, I am an awesome Conga player (dreaming of that anyway.) No drum needed for this class, so I am good to go... or she tells you which upside-down pots are good... if you are interested, it is called Rhythm Bliss.

Sounds like all are good - Det I missed your last post, so will go check it out. Sounds like you are keeping the faith, great job.

Love to all - will,do a proper checkin this evening, promise. Have a good one today, I am sending you all Light!

            Good evening friends,

We have a fresh 4” of snow that I didn’t order, haha!!!
Got YB to drive me a few places today, his truck will go in anything. The good news is it’s warming up to the 50’s at some point this week so I guess mud season will begin.

Cyn, I can’t imagine you as a drummer but if it makes you happy then absolutely!!!! Sounds interesting
I hope you don’t get this weather, you don’t need it either.

Mick, I still wake up a few times during the night but I just reposition myself & go back to sleep (thanks to the OTCs). Definitely having less aches in the mornings.
Today we surpassed 500,000 deaths in the US & this isn’t over yet. We really need the vaccine help :fairy:

Hello to PQ & the rest of the crew. Hope everyone is OK

Hello everyone and how are we today then? Hope all is well well it is really blowing a gale over here today and guess what what both the rabbits are in their outside hots they decided to go in there and quite happily sitting there they will have ever be coming in to their winter quarters in a little while. Finished sanding off the windowsill going up the stairway, dusted it off off just let the dust settle now before I oil it up it.

Hiya lav how are you today then question mark hope all is well it sounded like it was earlier on despite the 4 inches of snow you have got you can have my share if you need to build a snowman. You always have I don't know where you're vaccine program is up to perhaps your government should do the same as ours and put a military mind in charge of the logistics because it's sadly has work for us in the meantime you stay safe

Hello everyone else how are you hope things are ok with you all. Take care are look after yourselves

MAE ALL...Could have sworn I posted yesterday.

TG...a previous coworker and friend of mine runs a drumming circle. She raves by it, i have yet to try it. Interesting you can do it without drums.

Lav...we got heavy wet snow overnight, along with a thunderstorm and hail. LOL Temps will be above freezing today so a lot of it will melt and turn to slush. At least I don't have to deal with mud. Good plan on having YB do the driving in that weather. By the sounds of our vaccine rollout I should be able to get mine in April some time. It looks like our restrictions are being eased on Monday so I may be back to work in the office.

Mick...I hope you wore a mask with all that dust yesterday. Any news on lifting some of the restrictions yet? I guess the Peskies just needed a change of scenery, I know the feeling. They are thinking of going to step 2 on Monday and opening community centres. Wonder if they're going to lift the mandatory work from home orders as well. Seems like they're right hand doesn't know what the left is doing.

Hello to Pi, Det, Sam and Pauly.

Finalizing some program issues to open up the Community Garden signup online. I've been procrastinating as I'll just get swamped with more work when I do. I have had 3 times the request for a garden plot this year. Popped into work yesterday to return the stud finder and spoke briefly with the boss. He's looking at getting ready to let some of our renters back in, so that'll be more work for me. I'm going to take it slow this week and get back into things when I get back into work. LOL Have a good evening all....:smile:PPQP

                  Good evening Abbers,

Sunshine & 46 degrees today, yay! Tomorrow it hits 55!
I was so bored (not like me) today that I rode along with YB this afternoon on his Amish job. He had to pick up greenhouse tables, built by a local Amish guy & deliver them to the Amish guy in Lancaster who builds greenhouses. Boring but it was 2 1/2 hours out & about haha!! Feeling more like myself now. I guess a year of pandemic will throw anyone off their rocker sooner or later. I have ordered lots of wildflower seeds that I intend to plant everywhere for the pollinators so we’re all happy this summer

Mick, if you lived just a little closer I’d pay you to do some jobs around here. I have no interest in painting anymore, I used to do a lot. I hope you’re giving yourself some downtime too. I had a hard time getting my chickens to go inside this evening, they were enjoying the fresh air too

PQ, it seems like the weather can’t quite make up it’s mind, haha hail, thunder or snow???
Spent 2 1/2 hours sitting in the truck this afternoon now I’m all stiff, oh well. Hope you can ease back into the office, a little at a time

Cyn, did you end up getting any of that snow yesterday? We ended up with 4”, enough.
Hope you & Zander are staying comfy

                  Hello to Pauly & Det!
Sam & Pie I wish you would check in.

                  Have a nice night all!

Hmmm, Lav, yes definitely at least 4 inches, maybe more like 6... but then in the afternoon, thawing, so i'm thinking it will all be gone soon, sad for me! Glad that you got out and about! A change of scenery is often such a good reminder ...other life exists!

Mick, glad the Peskies are enjoying all their digs! Be careful and have fun putting down the flooring.. remember those tiles can be a little dangerous to pluck up...

PPQ... good luck with all! Sounds like big doings! I wonder how we will all cope with going back to our old jobs,,, maybe a revolution?

Det - loved the pics and the video... bought greens and all to make your recipe... thank you!

Pauly. Det, Sam, Sending love... hope all is well. Hello to all else... cheers.

Good afternoon everybody hope we are all well today? Currently outside it is pouring with rain dot yes I know it's a very strange scenario for over here but it is the key. It doesn't really bother the rabbits anymore I've got a great Toy for them to play about with.A cat tunnel with with hay inside both ends on it and chopped up coriander and parsley in it full stop the love that I'm spend ages rooting out from the hay. I never slept at all last night , and was up up at 3 this morning felt pretty rubbish but ok now just tired.

Hiya treegirl how are you today? Hope everything is good with you and yes I will definitely be having an early night has all the snow disappeared? You take care

Hiya ppqp how are you today then? Hope you are well.yes I did wear a mask...later..I didn't to start with.... the light is starting to get bigger at the end of the tunnel or over here, the exit from the lockdown was Pride cast last night it will be in various stages, however by the 21st of June if everything has gone according to plan all restrictions will have been removed that is on the proviso that the numbers don't increase in positives as the stages roll on and also involved with that is a massive amount of common sense which sadly was lacking last night even after the prime minister had outlined his exit plan people took for granted that was it and all meeting together for cots of coffee etc etc. How how is the strategy going on in Canada? You take care and stay safe bought another two locomotives by the way

Hiya lav how are you today then question mark hope all is well l well have you heard anything about The Vaccines yet? Hope you get yours soon. Yes it's strange getting out and about to do even the most menial things is enjoyable now isn't it. Yes I'm pretty tired today so I'm not doing a lot.
Right folks that's me take care have a good day stay safe sane and sober

I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

                          Greetings all,

No ‘fun trips’ to report today, haha!!
I just noticed daylight savings time begins March 14 SO there is light in the near future

Cyn, we had some good melting today @ 53 degrees, yay!!
I turned some leftover turkey tenderloin into a stir fry with broccoli & mushrooms over brown rice - super creative haha!!!

Mick, I’m finally sleeping better & now you’re up all night, sorry Hope you catch up tonight!
As the snow melts I can see mud ponds popping up everywhere around here, haha!! Glad your bunnies are enjoying themselves, so spoiled!

Pauly, I agree, it is too soon to reopen everything until most people are vaccinated. Too much pressure coming from the business community I think.

PQ, hope your day was good!

Hello to Det, Sam & Pie.

Have to go close up my chickens for the night.

                            MAE ALL...

Lav...changing up the routine by riding with YB yesterday sounds like a great adventure. Hope you had fun. I love your wildflowers, can't wait to see the next pic. I forgot all about DST, thanks for the reminder. After a crummy night's sleep I actually woke up in work mode and was raring to go. Got everything I needed to to done between 6-9 am so took the rest of the day off. LOL

TG...getting things accomplished so feeling more motivated. Our temps are getting cooler but mostly hovering around 32F, no snow and lots of sunshine. It's all a ruse though as March has been known to be our biggest snowfall month. I know where to send it if that happens.

Mick...what rain? No. You?...glad the fur kids don't care and I'll be needing a pic of the cat tunnel to fully understand the layout. LOL Bummer about the sleep, I hope tonight is better. I'm nervous about the province moving to Step 2 on Monday, with more businesses opening. Although our numbers are good we have a high rate of the covid variant, so things may change. Like always all you can do is wait and see.

Pauly...I agree. Things seem to be going in the right direction so let's all take a breath and stay the course. I'd rather stay locked down for another 3 or 4 weeks (pain) to be able to vacation with my family this summer (gain).

Waves to Pi, Det and Sam.

Hit a bit of a wall in the last days. Got the tires on the car yesterday, went to look at cars in 2 places, and saw my dream (same as I had before, but fewer miles.) Head guy has given me a good quote. All good , except I realize I can't move forward until I get the court papers so I have the title to the car. So, off to hassle the derelict lawyer who should have been able to assess the docs in about 1/2 hour. Then to the court. Then, when will the docs turn around? Gnawing anxiety. All I can do is to keep pressing. I know all will turn out as it should...

Meanwhile taxes, and going through things I brought back from storage, and trying not to feel like I am a dropout of the human race. The last time I had a meal with other humans was the end of October. I think I may be getting a little unstrung. But am carrying forward.

On the good side of things, I signed up for a class through ?Drumming Bliss - and bless that, I can at least focus on that and do a little meditation.

Sorry to be un-cheerful... just going 'round the dark side of the moon.

Sunny today, thanking the heavens for that, and will get out in it...

Take care all - stay vigilant, stay safe...
